Rachel watched as Ethan put Ava to bed, lingering inside the nursery. He looked like the happiest man on the planet right now. Him lingering didn’t help with Ava falling asleep though. She was playing, being quite active while interacting with her daddy. Rachel folded her arms across her chest, shaking her head at Ethan who met her amused gaze.
“She’s not going to fall asleep like this, you know.” She quietly told her fiancé.
“I know.” Ethan whispered back, “But she was so good today. I didn’t think she’d be in such a good mood while we stayed that long at my parents’ house.” He grinned at her, “I’m such a proud father right now, you have no idea.”
Rachel giggled, “I can tell.” She told him, “You’re creepily smiling over your daughter’s crib. I think everyone can tell.”
He smirked at her, “Is someone jealous?”
She narrowed her eyes at him, “I’m not. While you keep smiling at Ava I’m going to take a bath.” Her lips curled up into a smirk, “A very long bath.” She noticed the way his mood dropped, “You are seriously the best fiancé ever. I appreciate you, Ethan Hunter.” She stretched, noticing how Ethan’s eyes trailed to the bit of skin that peeked through as her shirt hiked up, “I’m going to sleep so well tonight. I love you.”
Turning her back to him she left her baby’s room with a smirk spread across her face. She filled herself a bath smelling like a peppermint, knowing she’d feel more refreshed afterward. Genuine happiness spread throughout her body as she watched the foam gather up. The whole bathroom smelled amazing, it made her forget about her surroundings. At that moment it was just her and her amazing smelling bath.
“Rache-”
Turning to face her fiancé, she raised an eyebrow at him, “Weren’t you watching over Ava?” She asked, trying to hide her glee.
She knew very well why Ethan showed up, she played her little game right.
“Well, yeah.” He walked up to her, grabbing the hem of her shirt and pulling it over her head. He tossed her shirt aside and grabbed her hips, pulling her closer to him, “But then my fiancée made this private bath moment sound really good.”
She wrapped her arms around his neck, “Jealous?”
He smirked down at her, “Of you enjoying this amazing looking bubble bath?” He asked her, “Yes, I’m very jealous right now.”
Giggling she pressed a kiss to the corner of his mouth, “Well, you know what. Since it’s the man I love I can share this bath with you.”
“Cheeky, little thing you are.” He chuckled, “I’ll grab the baby monitor, you can settle in.”
Smiling she let him pull away from her. Without a care in the world, she undressed and got into the tub. The moment she was laying in warm water smelling amazingly good she completely relaxed. It almost felt like she was in some kind of trance. Ethan joined her a few minutes later, getting in behind her and letting her lean back against him.
“I appreciate you as well.”
She leaned her head back, glancing up to meet his gaze, “Our wedding is the kind of wedding I’ve always dreamt about. I not only get the attractive and kind husband but also a family who cares and supportive friends.”
“You’ve always been real with me.” Ethan told her, “The fact that you’re well off with me also has a lot to do with this being your dream wedding, right?”
She knew most women would not have liked their partner to bring something like that up while they enjoyed a romantic bubble bath. She didn’t care though. They’ve always been real with each other. It might be one of the reasons why Ethan couldn’t let go of her. He knew what they had together was sincere. They’ve seen each other’s most ugly sides and still wanted to get married. It was definitely the kind of wedding she always dreamt about.
“Yes, I do admit that I started this relationship based on the fact that you could give me a financially secure life. Then we broke up and I had Ava and things changed.”
“We both changed.” He kissed the top of her head, “I feel like whatever Tiffany broke you pieced back together.”
His words took a while to sink in. She felt her breathing pick up as she realized just how beautiful his words were. Not being able to contain herself she turned around, water splashing all over the place, but she couldn’t care less and by the looks of it, Ethan didn’t mind it either. He was curious as to what her intentions were. She faced him, wrapping her arms around his neck and leaned in, kissing him with everything she had. The kiss was hot and wet and awkward at first since he didn’t expect that to happen. When he did get into it she pulled away and cupped his face in her hands.
“Make love to me.” She breathed.
He chuckled, “It’s not going to be as great as you think it’s going to be-‘
“Shut up and just do it.” She ordered, “I can’t wait right now.”
He gasped when she grabbed onto him, rubbing her hand up and down trying to coax him into giving her what she wanted. She did not tease him to end up having sex with him. Just enjoying a romantic bubble bath would have been enough for her. She couldn’t control her emotions after that confession though. She needed to feel him, she needed to feel that he was there and that he belonged to only her. Riding him in a bath filled with fresh smelling soap was probably not ideal, but it was the least of her concerns when she slipped him inside of her and rode him without restraint. Ethan grabbed onto her hips, leaning back and enjoying the moment. The moment wasn’t romantic and definitely not perfect, but it was one of their intimate nights together she’d always remember. He gave her more than pleasure, her gave her reassurance which she had been searching for.
