Third Person’s Pov:
Mira stared at Nengi who was glaring deadly at her, she looked pale and her face looked flushed. She felt the blood drain from her face as she gazed at the one person that she has ever prayed not to cross paths with.
“You stupid creature, where are your manners? She scowled.
“Don’t you say sorry…?” She impatiently yelled at her.
“Are you deaf or mute….. don’t you know what to say?” She growled.
With trembling lips, Mira muttered “I…. I am… Umm… I am sorry,”
“What a pathetic fool! Nengi spits horribly before storming out of the hallway.
“Ouch….. Why is she so scary?” Mira mumbled.
“Uomo…” she released the breath that she was holding, so finally, I can breathe she said. She looks scary, everything about her irks the word “Be careful” The tears on her face have long been forgotten. Standing in front of Nengi with her cold eye bored into Mira makes her want to open the ground and bury herself inside there for eternity.
With wobbly legs, she stood up and started walking back to her room, her butt hurts like hell. She placed her hand on it as she continued her walk ignoring the disgusting stares that she was getting from the pack members passing by.
She won’t deny the fact that Nengi looks gorgeous and breathtaking. Her long straight red nasal hair stones her face and compliments her silver eyes, she is fucking curvy like an hourglass shape. But she looks innocent “Who knew that behind those flawless and innocent faces there lies a demon,” she mumbled. Her stomach crushes as she feels jealous of Nengi, she hasn’t seen a girl so beautiful as Nengi. It angers her that her beauty stands out and attracts attention anywhere that she goes, it pains her that those beauty got wasted on that pathetic demon.
“How can Nicholas look at me with that beauty beside him,” Mira grumped. She angrily opens her door. With her mouth hanging open she stares as the omegas place different varieties of jewelry and other stuff on her bed, the way they were running around placing the essential stuff in order even some skippy nighties. She thanked God that her presence wasn’t noticed as she slowly tried closing the door and running away from there but looks like luck wasn’t on her side as she heard someone call her behind causing her to jump up in surprise with her hand pushing the door wide open.
She jumps inside as the omegas turn quickly and stare at her with a surprised and confused look. She smiled sheepishly like a child caught stealing candy.
“Where have you been,” Virginia asked as she entered inside and her face brightened up with what she saw. She felt pleased with the way the omegas were arranging and preparing everything for her daughter-in-law. Mira signed as she followed her gaze, It looks like Virginia was the one that called her when she was busy trying to escape she let out a sigh and frowned.
“I went to see my parents and siblings…. They came,” pain flashed in her eyes as she said that to Virginia.
“Oh!… How could I forget so soon,” Virginia said as she kept looking if everything was in order.
“Humm….” Mira forced a smile.
“How is everything?” Virginia cheerfully asked.
“Umm…..” Confused, Mira stares at her.
“Mtcheew…….” Virginia sighed tiredly.
“I mean how do you see this thing? They are cool, right? You did love them? I know you did love them…. She kept blabbering as Mira struggled to hold her head from creeping out.
“Yeah….” She managed to say with a small smile, she can’t hurt the poor woman’s heart who has put a lot of effort to make her day perfect, unlike her family members that came to witness her marry the arranged husband because of their dignity. Her heart twisted as she remembered everything.
“Miss is time for us to get you ready,” one of the omegas said submissively to Mira who felt life leaving her. “Why so soon…?” She whispered to herself.
“Oh!!….. Is already time,” said Virginia as the omega nodded in response.
“Wow!!…. Time really flew fast, looks like time can’t wait for you to get married to my son,” Virginia said with a beaming smile. The whole omegas there smiled and laughed at Virginia’s childish behavior except Angel who kept giving Mira a pitiful look like she understands what she was passing through.
“Go get her ready….” Virginia said and gave a sign for the omegas to go get Mira prepared before hurrying out of the room to go get ready. Mira was taken to the bathroom where she scrubbed her body and got prepared.
Standing in front of the mirror, she couldn’t believe the woman in front of her. She couldn’t recognize herself as she looked astonishing, enchanting, gorgeous, and beautiful.
She smiled but her smile was wiped out as she remembered the reason behind those beautiful faces. Mira was supposed to feel happy about getting married to her mate but she felt uneasy. She fought back her tears to avoid them ruining her makeup, that’s not what she wanted to be thinking now. She gave out a bitter laugh as she recalled her journey so far in life.
She has always wanted to settle down with her mate but this is not…… she sniffed before biting her lips from sobbing. She knows that one day she is going to get married and that day has arrived but it turns out it becomes her nightmare. She has this feeling that her journey has begun and it won’t be easy for her.
“Can she and Heaven be able to endure?”
“Can she and Heaven be able to fight back?”
Many questions kept flooding her mind as she stared at herself in the mirror. Nobody ever wanted her, she felt worthless and unloved. She has to behave like they were on good terms for publicity, and also for the pack’s dignity and her parent’s own, a tear trails down her face as she suddenly shuts her eyes to avoid any more tears from flowing down. She clasped her hand tightly in the wedding dress to avoid the omegas in the room from noticing that she was crying.
“Is time, Miss,” Angel painfully said to Mira. She swallowed her throat and nodded in response.
“There is no more turning back or is there still a way……” she half-whispered.
