When Aisly came to his side, Rupert leaned over her in a pretentious manner and whispered in her ear, word for word, “What do you think about letting me use you for the afternoon, and I’ll pretend that what just happened never happened?”
At that, Aisly rolled her eyes, thought for a moment, and then said, “Sure.”
—
“Why did you just leave Rupert behind?” Hector asked as he slowly pressed his hand to Eloise’s waist and rubbed it gently.
Feeling a hand behind her, Eloise blushed slightly and lightly batted Hector’s one down, meeting his eyes and glaring.
Seeing the look in her eyes, a small smile appeared on Hector’s face as he turned to Eloise, “Hmm?”
Eloise bent her head and said, “You can be so happy yourself that you don’t think of your brother’s happiness?”
Meeting his eyes, Hector felt nothing but Eloise’s adorable tightening.
“Not yet, he’s still small.” Narrowing his eyes, he hugged Eloise.
“Little what, it’s so old.” Eloise cocked her head, disgruntled.
“So, is Eloise also disgusted with my husband for being old?” Hector suddenly pressed closer to Eloise, testing her lips if anything, the smirk in his eyes reaching right to Eloise’s heart.
Backing away from Hector’s embrace slightly, Eloise narrowed her eyes and opened her mouth to laugh, “Yeah, you’re so old.”
When he said that, he rushed away, but he didn’t want to be scooped right back into Hector’s arms.
“I was wrong.” Immediately, she looked at Hector with a pleading gaze, a pitiful look that made Hector laugh bitterly, and let go of her.
“Yah, you see Rupert is not too old, I think he and Aisly are in for it too, and I think Aisly is a nice girl too, it’s nice to watch them both too. You can’t just be happy with yourself and forget about your brother.”
She finished by teasing Hector, looking at him with a smirking expression and leaning in for a kiss.
“That’s not really the main reason, think about it we’re not going out as a family for once and Rupert is too much of an eyesore, just a big light bulb.”
At that, Hector smiled a little, his eyes very gentle, and asked to Eloise, “Do you want to play anything else?”
Eloise tilted her head, thought about it, but couldn’t pick one that she was happy with, and sighed, “Let’s ask Solomon what he thinks.”
In the end, she threw the hard choice to Solomon.
At these words, Solomon’s mouth paused as he ate the candy and stared at Eloise with wide eyes, frozen, which in turn made her heart melt into a puddle.
“I …” Solomon opened his mouth, somewhat incoherently.
“Why, what do you want to play with.” Eloise arched her eyes and smirked into Solomon’s, who turned his head and looked over at Hector.
“Daddy …,” Solomon cried, in a budding voice.
Hector immediately bent down and picked him up, “What do you want to play?”
Solomon shook his head and spoke, “I don’t know.”
“Want to go to the exhibition?” Eloise asked, and at those words a light flashed in Solomon’s eyes and he nodded.
On the other side, Aisly stood in front of Rupert, wiping the sweat from her face, and Rupert skimmed over to her and smiled.
For a moment he laughed, Aisly felt a rush of cold behind her and shuddered at the way Rupert looked and asked softly, “Going to do something?”
At that, Rupert held his forehead, cocked his head and spoke, “Tell you what, go over there and get me a water, something cold.”
“Huh?” Aisly grumbled a little, the two were in a place that was a small distance away from the sale and couldn’t avoid walking a few steps.
“Ah what ah ah? Do you remember what just happened?” Rupert shook his hand at her.
“Okay.”
Aisly sighed. Only disgruntled, she responded and prepared to leave.
“Wait.”
Jin Feng suddenly spoke and a light flashed in Aisly’s eyes, thinking he had a conscience, only to hear a, “Run faster, I’m dying of thirst, I have to see that the water is cold when I get back, and there’s a three minute time limit.”
At these words, Aisly hesitates for a moment, nearly falling over, looking back at Rupert’s face and turning her head away viciously.
“Run faster.” Rupert’s voice shouted not too loudly in her ear.
“Just die of thirst.” Aisly said in a not-so-subtle voice as she ran in Rupert’s direction.
Having gotten the water, Rupert squinted at Aisly and spoke, “What were you muttering about.”
Heart bolted tight, Aisly shook her head in a rush.
“Oh~,” Rupert said groggily.
Getting up and throwing the bottle at Aisly, she said, “Come on, let’s go to the exhibition together.”
Aisly stared hard at Rupert, but remained pinned down by his arm in a death grip.
“What are you doing?” Aisly was a little impatient.
Rupert was a little surprised to hear this question and said with surprise, “Help me up, I have a leg injury.”
Aisly sulked and helped Rupert along, bewildered to be pinched by Rupert.
Eyes glancing over to Rupert, Aisly said in an uncharacteristic manner, “What are you doing again.”
Rupert smiled and said, “Nothing, put it down and give me a squeeze, my leg is a bit uncomfortable.”
…
Aisly was a little incoherent for a moment, squeezing Rupert hard, as if in return for his torture.
“Oh yo, the force is pretty good.” Rupert looked at her with a grin on his face and enjoyment in his eyes.
“I say you should not come out to play if your leg is broken, this is also delaying others to play, if your leg is broken, you should stay at home to recuperate, do not come out to jump ah-”
At the words, Rupert smirked and placed a hand on her waist, pinching it hard, causing Aisly to back away and scream.
He then turned harmlessly to Aisly, “Well, you’re right about everything.”
“You …” Aisly blushed and looked at Rupert, a mist rising in her eyes.
“Huh? I didn’t do anything.” Rupert played innocent, with all the pity in his eyes.
It was night and it was also slightly dark, looking at the dark clouds in the sky, Aisly sighed, massaged her arm which had been tortured all day and said to Rupert, “I won’t be able to stay with you tonight, I have to go to the hospital as an attendant.”
At these words, a hint of sadness passed through Rupert’s eyes, but he hid it well and said, “Yes, but tomorrow you will have to stay with me.”
Aisly looked at him blankly and asked, “Why, isn’t it only one day.”
Rupert then patted her back and said without a care in the world, “Tell you what, how about you take care of me until my leg gets better, and then I’ll pay you two thousand dollars a day?”
Aisly rubbed her head, a pensive look in her eyes, and after a long time, she nodded; after all, she really needed the money now.
