Beatrice sneered and rolled her eyes.
“I am only asking you why we have to go to room 14, not the way around the hotel or what an hotel room is for.”
“Just follow me.”Laura sneered and moved up the stairs.
“You also don’t know about this?”Beatrice questioned Gregory.
She scoffed.
“I already forgot you’re a dumbass.”she took the stairs up.
She couldn’t just figure out why he brought her here for an honeymoon.
It would have been better for them to pretend to celebrate that in America.
She saw Laura entered a room and she huffed before stepping closer to it, eyeing the number on the door.
She went inside and was faced with another woman, aside from Laura.
“Miss Cora!”Laura moved to peck her cheeks.
“It’s been so long, Laura. I am glad we are able to connect again.”Cora giggled.
Laura nodded with a big smile before turning to Beatrice.
“Cora, meet Beatrice, Mr Gregory’s wife. Miss Beatrice, meet miss Cora, the woman I would hand this over to. She is pretty experienced in marriage. She would offer you guys her friendly advice and well, more couple games awaits you!”
Beatrice crossed her arms on her chest.
“She is married?”she asks Laura.
Laura shook her head.
Cora’s eyes twitched in embarrassment.
“Hi, miss Cora. It’s nice to meet you.”Beatrice grinned.
“Same.. here, Mrs Winslow. You glow just like a real Winslow would.”Cora complimented.
Beatrice studied her facial features.
She has a lovely face..
Her chubby cheeks were quite enticing.
“Thank you.”Beatrice’s face heated up.
“I will leave you guys to it then. Where is your husband by the way?”Laura raised a brow up.
“He should be here soon.”Beatrice nodded and moved in fully.
She sat on the chair across Cora and sighed.
“I thought you’re a tour guide. How..”
“Oh, Mr Gregory told me to prepare something thrilling for you.. it’s your honeymoon, after all. I still have more in stock.”Laura beamed before stepping out.
Beatrice huffed lowly then scratched her neck nervously.
“You like mr Gregory really much, don’t you?”Cora tittered.
Beatrice directed her gaze to her.
“Why are you asking that all of a sudden?”she perched her brows up at her.
Cora chuckled.
“No need in asking though. It’s written all over your face.”
Beatrice laughed, maniacally.
Maybe she is a born actress, hehehe.
Gregory came inside.
“Mr Gregory,”Cora sprang up from the chair.
“You are here. Welcome.”she smiled.
Beatrice rolled her eyes once again.
“Yeah.”he nodded and sat down beside Beatrice.
Cora sat down too.
“I am Cora.”
“Okay.”Gregory took his lips in.
“I usually give young couples like you advices that would help to strengthen the foundation of your marriage.”
“Are you married?”
“No, I am not, Mr Winslow.”
“How can an unmarried woman try to advice the married ones?. Shouldn’t that be from experience?”Gregory’s brows creased up in a frown.
Beatrice poked his rib gently before chuckling out, nervously.
“Let’s start, miss Cora.”she tried to change the topic.
“Actually, I’ve married before.. but I and my husband got divorced.”Cora replied Gregory.
“Why though?.”Beatrice chirped.
“The foundation of our love wasn’t strong enough. He loved me back then, but I only reciprocated to his feelings because he was wealthy, just like mr Gregory.”
“That made it a one sided love. You didn’t developed any feelings for him along the way?”Beatrice inquired, curiously.
“I did, but, since the foundation was weak, we couldn’t pull through. I brought up the idea to divorce first. He didn’t want to accept but.. after I told him that I didn’t love him but his money, he… no, it didn’t stopped there.”Cora chuckled.
Beatrice dropped her hands on the table, excitedly.
“Go on, miss Cora.”she grinned.
Cora laughed.
“This is embarrassing, you know. It also rips my heart up.”Cora breathed out a sigh.
“Oh, sorry about that. Don’t..”
“No, it’s fine. After I told him about that, he said he would get me to love him. He didn’t want to let go of me. He was drunk in his love for me when all I felt were just little sparks in my heart.”
“I had to beg him to free me, at the end of the day, he did and… well, that was how it ended.”Cora’s eyes glistened with tears.
“Do you want to consider going back to him?. I think you love him just as much as he does..”Beatrice cajoled.
Cora laughed and sniffed in.
“I am sorry, I am supposed to counsel and not to recount my story.”
Beatrice sighed.
“I will write a story about you then make you fall deeply in love with your husband that you didn’t really have to divorce him.”
Cora’s cheeks flushed.
“I did heard you were a writer. I hope you guys would write a better and brighter story for your marriage. Create beautiful moments, share all the laughters and cries of life together then watch yourselves grow stronger.”
Beatrice flashed her a fake smile whilst blinking her eyes.
She is also after his money and she is not going to ever fall in love with him.
“Do you guys promise to do that?”Cora stared at them.
“Of course. That’s a sure thing! We are married and we’ve already vowed to love and stand by each other through thick and thin: Dark and light, bad and good.”Beatrice chuckled.
Cora turned to Gregory.
“Right, hubby?”Beatrice tapped him.
“Right.”Gregory pulled out a little smile at her.
Cora nodded in satisfaction.
“The counsel would begin from here..”
..
“I hope you’ve picked up great lessons in my advices?”
“We have.”Beatrice suppressed the urge to yawn.
“It’s time for you both to play a game then.”
“No.”Gregory rose up from the chair.
Beatrice pulled him back to the seat.
“Come on, that would be so much fun.”she grinned.
Gregory sighed and looked up at the ceiling.
“Okay.”he snorts.
Cora brought out a box and poured some papers that were squeezed up on the table.
“Pick one.”she prodded to Beatrice.
Beatrice squirmed her lips before picking one of the wrapped papers.
She unfolded it.
Her eyes squinted.
“What’s written on it?”Cora enquired.
“What’s my favorite color?”Beatrice read out and slowly turned her head to Gregory.
“Red.”he blurts out.
“Is that so, Mrs Winslow?”
“Yes.”Beatrice smiled out.
“Your turn, Mr Winslow.”
Gregory took one and unwrapped it.
His eyes shine out in shock and he looked up at Beatrice.
“Kiss me.”
What?
She scoffed.
Why would she do that?
“See, the paper said kiss me.”he showed it to her and her heart skipped a beat.
