Ceaser was certain he wouldn’t have stopped if Jules hadn’t pushed away from him. He hadn’t planned on going so far. All he wanted was to prove that no matter what she said, she was still so affected by him.
By his touch.
Her saying his name drove him totally mad. Her moans were his undoing, they had seized his self-control like he had no business having them. Ceaser’s pulse was so fast he could hear it.
Darn!
What was wrong with him?
He’d never felt this way before – no woman had ever made him feel this way. But this woman did.
The woman he had just ravished right in the middle of her office. Her kisses had made him want her more than he already did. Her skin was soft and her hair felt like the purest form of silk… and her touch had made him burn with so much desire he thought he was going to pass out, literally.
But then she pushed away from him and put an end to it which was something he wasn’t able to do.
Ceaser stared at Jules, surprised at how fast she went from melting in his arms to her professional self. She had pulled her skirt down which had been half way up her smooth thigh and he swallowed as her fingers went up her shirt buttoning it up, he couldn’t remember un-buttoning it. Ceaser’s heart was racing just by looking at a-almost-ravished Jules.
“I need you to leave… now.” Jules said barely above a whisper but audible enough for Ceaser to hear it.
“Jules…” Ceaser took a step towards her which only made her angry.
“Now!” She yelled at him pointing at the door.
Ceaser stared at her for a moment before he sighed in complete frustration and anger as he turned around and walked out of her office, glad her assistant wasn’t around to witness the bulge in his pants.
He knew he’d never been as hard as he was then, much less left with blue balls. He got into the elevator and pushed the button to his floor. He took his suit jacket off and placed it on the crook of his arm to cover the evidence of what having Jules Jenna in his arm had done to him.
Jules fell into her chair and just stared at the contract in front of her, she tried to read it but the words looked foreign to her, her mind was far, far away from anything work related. All she could think about was what had just happened with Ceaser before he sent him out of her office.
What was wrong with her?
That was the first time in her life she’d ever done that. Whatever ‘that’ was. Jules thought.
Since Ben, her ex-boyfriend, she’d never been with anyone after him. With everything that had been happening in her life, she hadn’t had the time. Prior to Ben, it had been just random first kiss, awkward dates and crushes. Ben had been her first love, at least that was what she thought back then. She’d never experienced whatever Ceaser had just done with her, of course she and Ben slept together a few times but it was nothing compared.
With Ben, it was get-straight-to-the-point-kind of sex but what Ceaser had just done to her was so much more than everything Ben had ever done with her. Much more. Ceaser made her lose her mind just by being in the same room with her. His touch sent shivers through her entire body.
Oh, what the heck was happening to her?
What had she gotten herself into?
She didn’t know how she had managed to put an end to what he had been doing to her, but she had and she was glad she had or else, things would have gotten out of hand pretty fast. She couldn’t let that happen. Her life was already a handful, she couldn’t let it get complicated just by adding Ceaser into it.
She couldn’t do complicated. Not with Ivy in her life.
Jules shook her head to drive the thought out of her mind. She needed to concentrate on the one thing that wasn’t complicated, her job. At least she could handle that.
Jules sighed and went back to work.
Ceaser walked out of the elevator when it opened up to his floor heading straight to his office.
“Sir, you have a meeting with Mr. Bradley in a few minutes.” Claire said as he walked by her desk.
“I’ll see him in two hours.” Ceaser said “Make sure no one disturbs me till then.” He added before he entered his office.
Ceaser walked past his desk towards the one-way floor to ceiling glass, throwing his suit jacket on the sofa as he passed it. He un-buttoned his shirt, took it off and threw it on the sofa. He undid his belt which joined his shirt and sit jacket on the sofa before he walked to the attached bathroom in his office.
Two hours was more than he needed to get rid of the problem Jules had caused but considering how hard he, he couldn’t be sure. Ceaser got under the shower and turned the cold water on full blast wishing it were freezing water.
Couple of hours later, Ceaser had ended his meeting with Mr. Bradley and he headed for his office.
“Claire, cancel all my appointments for today. I’m taking the rest of today off.”
“Yes sir.” Claire answered as Ceaser entered his office.
Ceaser sat in his chair going through the progress report when Claire called in.
“Sir, your parents are here.”
Ceaser sighed.
Why are his parents here?
“Send them in right away.”
Seconds later, Ceaser’s parents walked in with Claire keeping the door open for them.
“Thank you.” Eric said to Claire before she left.
“Oh Ceaser.” Selene walked towards her son.
“Mum.” Ceaser went around his desk to kiss her “What a surprise.” Ceaser hugged his dad. “What are you guys doing all the way on this side of the city?”
“To see you, of course.” Selene said.
They sat on the sofa.
“Of course.” Ceaser said.
“So, this is what you bought.” Eric looked around the office “What I don’t yet know is why you bought it.”
“Dad please.”
And just before Eric could ask anymore, Claire walked in with a tray and placed it on the table.
Ceaser waited for Claire to leave before he continued the conversation.
“I just thought it’d be better with me than with Freddie Danfort. That man doesn’t know the first thing about running a business.” Ceaser said.
“Freddie Danfort?” Eric asked.
“Yes dad.”
“That man needs to find a line of work that he can handle.” Eric said.
Selene looked back and forth between Eric and Ceaser.
“Always with the business talk.” She said “By the way how is your Lady friend? Jules, right?”
Ceaser sighed just at the mere mention of her name.
“Uh-oh, trouble in paradise.” Eric said.
“There was never a paradise to begin with.” Ceaser said.
Ceaser watched his parents look at each other before looking back at him.
“Son, your mum and I have never seen you as happy as the way you were at the charity function. You should have seen your face when your mother mentioned your marriage.” He smiled. “You looked like a piñata beaten…”
“Eric.” Selene nudged Eric with her elbow.
“Sorry.” Eric cleared his throat.
“What happened son?” Selene asked.
“She’s furious I lied to her about who I was.”
“What do you mean?” Selene asked.
“I didn’t tell her I was a Thompson.” He said “I’d just changed the name of the company then and I didn’t want her to connect the dots and figure out I owned the company, I thought it’d ruin things with her before it even started.” Ceaser twisted the truth, keeping his secret safe.
Silence filled the office.
“Well now she knows.” Eric said “You just have to sit her down and explain your…”
“I’ve tried.” Ceaser said getting up and walking to the glass wall “She wouldn’t let me say a single thing. Argh, she’s so stubborn and strong headed.”
“Sounds like someone we know.” Selene said.
“Hm-hmm” Eric agreed with his wife as they both looked at him.
“Ok, I need to see her. I want to meet her daughter; she couldn’t stop talking about her at the Charity function.” Selene got up.
Ceaser clenched his jaw to stop himself from telling his parents everything. Why he bought the company, why he lied about who he was, about Jules’ daughter actually being his and their grand-daughter.
Ceaser called Claire.
“Yes Mr. Thompson?” Claire answered immediately.
“My office now.”
Claire walked in seconds later.
“Show my mum to Ms. Jenna’s office.” He told her.
She gave a curt nod and turned to Selene.
“Right this way Mrs. Thompson.”
“I’ll see you boys later.” Selene said as she followed Claire out of Ceaser’s office.
