Serenity’s pov
“Augustus!”
I yelled his name. I am looking for him almost for an hour now. I can’t find him.
And with every passing second my fear is increasing. My son, Augustus is no less than a walking Devil.
Not cute devil, he is brutal.
It’s been only 8 months that i have given birth to him but he has grown up like an 8 years old. And i have witnessed many horrified things he has done in these 8 months.
I am terrified what he must be doing right now.
I can’t forget how much he has tortured me when he was in my womb. I turned into monster. I was craving blood all day and was attacking everyone.
Hybrids had to lock me in the room, in last month they had to chain me up. Secure the room with spells by powerful witches and what not. I was stunned, he was controlling my body and mind and he wasn’t even born.
I am trying to control him, to teach him what’s wrong and right. What he shouldn’t do and what not. But his mind is still 8 months old, what can I expect from him. He is still a child but I have never seen a child like him.
Angel was too easy to handle. I thought she is just a witch but she has powers of werewolf and vampires too. It was coming out very slowly and she is still dealing with it.
But Augustus has shown symptoms very early. He has got powers from all of us. I am scared if he got power of five elements then he will be unstoppable. He haven’t shown any of that yet but i am scared.
We have kept him away from the human world because whenever he sees humans he attacks them. He is hungry for blood.
“Augustus”
My voice boomed in the whole palace. I know he can hear me, he has excellent hearing power.
Hybrids says that he will be fine with time, they were like this too but It doesn’t make me relax. Augustus is trouble.
I don’t know what’s going to be his future.
I pray that i don’t need to stand in front of him in the future, as a mother i don’t want to punish him.
“LUCAS!”
He must know where is he. I can only trust protectors with him.
Within seconds Lucas was in front of me.
“Where is he?”
Lucas got alert watching troubled expressions on my face.
“Mother, He is in the forest… With Leonardo and Silas… No need to worry.”
He said trying to calm me down.
“Take me to him.”
I said and he grabbed my hand.
I opened my eyes and we were in the forest.
“Mother”
Silas came to me with tensed face.
I knew it, something is wrong. My guy feeling is never wrong. Augustus can’t stay away from problems. Fuck! He is the problem.
“What happened?”
“He has caught a rabbit”
Silas said. I frowned, what’s wrong if he has got rabbit. He has done it before too.
“But he is not eating it…”
If not eating it then what?
“Then?”
He led me towards him.
Augustus is sitting in front of tree trunk. Giggling and playing with rabbit. I have never seen him playing with any toy or anything. He just destroy everything.
“Augustus?”
I called him.
His head turned, those purple eyes stared straight into mine. I don’t know how he got purple eyes.
“Mom”
He smiled widely.
“Look what I got.”
He grabbed rabbit by neck and my stomach churned by looking at him brutal handling.
“Very nice”
I took it from him and hold it gently. Rabbit is terrified.
I ruffled his silver hair.
“But i don’t want to eat it…”
He said looking at the rabbit.
“I liked it and i want to keep it as a pet.”
No he can’t keep it as a pet, i don’t what he will do to this poor animal. I smiled at him.
“Honey, we can’t keep pets… There are so many supernaturals in palace, they might hurt it.”
I tried to make him understand.
His eyebrows scrunched together.
“No one will touch it otherwise I’ll fight with them.”
He said angrily and snatched the rabbit from my hands.
God!
I knelt down in front of him.
“Augustus”
I Stoked his hair.
“This rabbit belongs to the forest. It’s a natural habitat. It likes staying here… It will be very sad if you take it with you… If you like it then you should set it free.”
“No, i liked it and i will keep it… It’s mine now, doesn’t matter if it is want me or not…”
He said stubbornly.
“I caught him and i can do anything with it because i am the owner…”
Who is teaching him all this. What are these words. I am always on the edge when it comes to him.
“But sweetie… You shouldn’t hurt the things you like…”
I tried to make him understand.
“If it gets sad then it will die… And you don’t want that right.”
He nodded.
“Then let it go… I promise we will come everyday to meet your pet.”
I patted his soft cheeks.
He hesitated for a second, his eyes were fixed on the rabbit. But he listened to me and placed it on the ground. Rabbit ran for his life when it was released.
“Good boy…”
I kissed his cheek.
“But i wanted it.”
He frowned.
“Augustus… There is nothing big than love…”
He looked at me confused.
“If you want something then you should be gentle and loving to get it…”
“But why do I need love when i can get things with my power.”
He said.
Here we go again.
I sighed.
“Because with power you can only get things… But with love, you will win them…”
“Fine”
He huffed.
“Good”
I smiled and took him home.
He went to his room to sleep and i went to mine.
As soon as I entered i was engulfed by all three of them.
“Did he do something?”
Lucifer asked.
I told him about rabbit thing and they chuckled.
“He is like this just for the rabbit he liked…”
Nicolai chuckled.
“Just imagine what will he do to his mate… He will be crazily overprotective.”
His words made me more restless.
No! He will be mature by then, right?
Vincent picked me up bridal style and placed on the bed.
“Don’t worry about him… He will be fine…”
He laid down beside me.
“I don’t know, he is not like a normal child.”
I sighed.
Nicolai kissed my head.
“Don’t think too much… We are together in this.”
“Together!”
I smiled. Things have been getting better and better between us. I just love hybrids. They are amazing.
” I love you…”
“We love you too”
They said and my chest swelled with happiness.
They are my peace, my everything.
“You need sleep… Just close your eyes we are here.”
Lucifer pecked my lips.
I smiled and closed my eyes. Holding their hands and seeking their warmth.
We slept like this and always wants us like this. This is my safe place.
Never imagined that i will be able to live my life again. All that pain and tears has ended.
We started new life with stronger love and trust.
This happiness is belongs to us now.
