Vincent walked away with Angel, his eyes couldn’t stop shedding tears.
Serenity fell on her knees, crying and sobbing hard.
Albert’s body turned into ashes. Living nothing behind but only dust.
Protectors were stopping Lorenzo, his huge black wolf was furious and eager to shred serenity in pieces.
Nicolai was still frozen, trying to understand what’s going on. It felt like a dream.
Lucifer was in same condition but he closed his eyes and released shaky breath. He walked towards serenity and knelt in front of her.
“You can kill me now…”
She looked at him and put dagger in his hands.
“You have a reason too.”
She said in shaky voice.
Lucifer took that dagger from her and placed in his coat.
“Let’s go inside.”
He said, voice void of emotions.
Serenity didn’t answer she kept her head low and was still crying.
Lucifer picked her up in bridal style and walked inside, Nicolai followed them too.
Vincent placed Angel’s body on the bed. She was pale but she had no wound of getting stabbed by dagger.
Lucifer entered with serenity in his arms followed by Nicolai.
He placed serenity on the couch and knelt in front of her.
“I don’t want to repeat my mistake, Sera… I want to trust you and i will trust you…”
He kissed her forehead and serenity looked at him shocked.
“I know you won’t hurt angel… I have learnt my lesson.”
Nicolai sat beside her.
“This time i will trust you… I will believe in you, even if you are taking the blame.”
He kissed her hand.
Vincent sat on her other side.
“Today you have become a true queen… Today you made sacrifice to save your kingdom… You chose your people over your your happiness… I never imagined that my love and respect for you can rouse than what i already had…”
“I would have never done it…”
Lucifer confessed.
“I always talk about responsibilities and sacrifices but i would have never done it… I have no courage to sacrifice my daughter but you did it… And it takes huge courage… You are a true queen…”
“Don’t worry about Angel…”
Nicolai said as tears rolled down from his sad eyes.
“She will always be our hero… As a princess she gave herself to her people. That’s what worriers do. She was our Hero…”
“I killed her”
Serenity said.
“You didn’t kill her… You killed Albert…”
Lucifer squeezed her hand gently.
“We should have known that he can do something like that… He hide his life in Angel, and that’s the reason why he let her go. He knew that we will protect her, while in reality we were protecting him… He knew that even if we learn it, we can’t kill him because to kill him we have to kill Angel…”
“You did what you should have done, Sera…”
Vincent patted her back.
“Angel met me yesterday… That time i didn’t understand what she was saying but now i understood… ‘I always want to see you together, I am watching’….”
He said and serenity broke down.
Nicolai pulled her in a hug and rubbed her back.
“I thought you will hate me again”
She said.
“I was going to loose everything, that pain, suffering….”
She sobbed.
“I was scared that you won’t trust me… But you do…”
She confessed.
“I am sorry i didn’t trust you, I hide everything from you…”
Vincent wiped her tears.
“It’s normal… We can’t expect you to forgive us so easily. It’s obvious that you had doubts… You have suffered for that… It’s okay.”
“I apologise for disturbance, your majesty”
Their beta entered.
“But Alpha king Lorenzo is causing us problems… We can’t stop him anymore…”
“Let him in”
Nicolai ordered.
He left and Lorenzo stormed in. His eyes fell on angel’s pale body and loud growl erupted from his chest.
“Revive her.”
He looked at serenity.
“You are talking to your queen, Mind your tone.”
Vincent stood up.
“I know, you are in pain… Angel was your mate but she was our daughter…”
Lucifer stood in front of him.
“She can revive her…”
Lorenzo looked at serenity with hard face.
“She can’t revise dead people, Lorenzo…”
Nicolai glared at him.
“I know it’s difficult for you but you need to control your emotions, you are the king.”
“I am not blabbering.”
Lorenzo declared.
“Queen serenity has hide Angel’s life inside her… She can give it back and revive her.”
Hybrids frowned at him.
“Yes, I can smell my mate from serenity… And it’s because of the same reason… And that’s the reason why Angel refused to recognise me. Because the main angel is inside the Queen… Without that Angel can’t connect with me… And for the same reason Albert couldn’t connect with his mate and he was abusing her, because his everything was inside Angel…”
Lorenzo explained.
“Is that true Sera?”
Vincent looked at her.
“Angel is alive?!”
Serenity nodded.
“Yes she is alive.”
She declared and hybrids took a sigh of relief.
No matter how tough they were acting but deep down they were shattered by loosing their daughter again.
“So it was a test?”
Lucifer asked.
She nodded.
“It was needed… You know it… It wasn’t easy to forgive all of you…”
She replied.
“Not so easily… We all say that everyone deserves a second chance but giving second chance is not easy… We risk our everything again… Trust is a foundation of everything, and we lacked it that’s why we collapsed, suffered… I had to make sure that i am not building the palace of my love on nothing… I don’t want to suffer again…”
“So did we pass the test?”
Vincent crossed his hands over his chest.
“I wouldn’t be standing here if you didn’t.”
She replied and walked towards the Angel.
Serenity grabbed her hand and started chanting spells. This time wind was stronger than before. Windows broke down by its force. Thunders roared in anticipation of forbidden spells.
“Take care of our daughter…”
Nicolai looked at Lorenzo.
“She is my responsibility now…”
Lorenzo assured.
Angel slowly opened her eyes and looked at her mother.
“You did it”
She mumbled in weak voice.
“I told you… You can do it”
Serenity smiled at her.
“All because of my brave daughter… I am proud of you.”
Angel sat up and hugged her mother.
“Mom i am nervous…”
She mumbled hiding her face in her mother’s embrace.
Serenity smiled.
“Don’t be… He is already smitten by you.”
She said and angel blushed.
“I’ll be outside.”
Lorenzo declared and walked out, giving them privacy.
“Atleast he has manners.”
Vincent rolled his eyes.
“Isn’t he too big for Angel?”
He scowled.
“Look who is talking”
Serenity mocked.
“You were human… I am hybrid, it’s not my fault… Our case is different.”
Vincent defended.
“He is best for Angel… Don’t worry.”
Lucifer assured.
“He has anger issues”
Nicolai said.
“Guys stop it… You are making her nervous.”
Serenity scolded.
“Fine”
Vincent raised his hands in surrender.
“How is my hero…”
He smiled at Angel and she threw herself in his embrace.
“Feeling good?”
“Yes… Perfect.”
Angel smiled.
“Tell me you didn’t do anything to mom.”
“No they didn’t…”
Serenity assured.
“Angel, someone is waiting for you…”
She said.
Angel took a nervous breath.
“I don’t know how to talk with him…”
“Just smile… Men doesn’t need much”
Nicolai chuckled.
“Go!”
Serenity said.
“Fine…”
Angel Gulped and walked outside.
“So we are really okay now…”
Vincent asked.
“All tests and everything, done?”
“Yes, done!”
She gave him thumbs-up.
Serenity walked towards them and they surrounded her.
“We have something to ask…”
Lucifer said.
“See, we are no humans and we don’t know how it happens… So bear with us.”
Serenity frowned.
“What are you going to do?”
She gasped when they knelt in front of her.
“Will you marry us?”
They asked.
Serenity looked at them shocked.
“God!”
She breathed out.
“We know, you miss human life… And if we can’t make it beautiful for you then who will…”
Vincent said.
“Your happiness is our happiness…”
“We know we are jerks and only you can handle us…”
Nicolai said.
“So as humans says, will you spend your eternity with us…”
“Yes!”
Serenity jumped in happiness.
They placed rings on her her finger which connected together and made one sparkling ring.
“It’s beautiful.”
She said with happy tears.
“I have a surprise for you too…”
She declared.
“What?”
they asked excited.
“Guess.”
She smiled.
