“Is it necessary?”
Serenity sighed looking at Robert.
“I mean it’s our personal life… We don’t have to answer anyone…”
“Sera… You are a queen now and your life is not personal anymore…”
Robert said.
“Realm wants a stable ruler and there is no wrong… I have faced the same situation… Four of you need to assume them their safety… Obviously, kingdom can’t be run by kings only. They need support of people and i don’t need to tell that their are many people who wants to sit on the throne… Now everyone knows that you are powerful than kings and there are rumours that you are against kings, your relationship is not stable with kings… Offcourse everyone will be worried. And they have seen how you fought with kings that day…”
She rubbed her forehead.
“So i have to answer all the questions?”
She looked at him nervous.
“I have never talk to the huge crowd…”
Robert patted her back.
“Just stay calm… Hybrids will manage everything… Go to Vincent, he will help you… He is more active when it comes to unwanted questions…”
“Okay”
She nodded and turned around to leave.
Robert quickly said before she leaves.
“And_”
“And don’t turn blue… Got it…”
She replied while walking.
“I’ll be okay.”
She took a deep breath and opened the door of auditorium. Being powerful didn’t save her from the nervousness.
She stepped inside and everyone stood up in her honour. She felt good, respected and special. She used to clean this place few days ago, and now she is the queen.
Hybrids were sitting on the royal chairs. Vincent was sitting between Lucifer and Nicolai.
Serenity kept her head high and walked with dignity. She doesn’t even have to try because she was already giving powerful queen vibes with her black long gown with diamond work on its shoulders and full sleeves. Robert gave her the gown from his mother’s collection and it was truly giving her 70’s feelings. She was feeling confident in it.
Brothers were amused that serenity agreed to wear their grandmother’s gown.
She walked towards them and sat on Vincent’s lap.
“It would have been better if i could get my own chair…”
She mind linked to Vincent while giving him disapproving look.
Everyone took their respected place. While royals sat in front of them.
“Let’s start the meeting”
Lucifer announced.
“Your highness…”
One lady from the very first row crossed her legs and looked at serenity. Long silver hair and icy face. Definately vampire. But serenity didn’t like her tone and body language, it was like she is mocking her.
“I guess we should explain the procedure as you are new here…. Things don’t work like a stone age anymore…”
She said looking at serenity up and down.
“Each one of us will ask question to you or to the kings… You must give us the honest answer.”
Serenity smiled, she understood this lady definitely have some problems with her.
“Ofcourse… And I think You are right, i need to learn more about this new world but there are some things which should be introduced again in your age…”
Serenity Smirked.
“Did you forget to introduce yourself to the queen or it doesn’t come under basic manners of your new world, miss___”
She cocked her eyebrow.
“Dianna”
Her jaw tightened.
“Very well Dianna… I’ll try to stick to your rules…”
Serenity gave her mocking look.
Hybrids were tensed behind her.
“Nicolai…”
Vincent mind linked him.
“How many times I have told you that your past shouldn’t be messing with our present or future… What is Dianna doing here.”
Nicolai rubbed his forehead.
“I don’t know… It was two centuries ago, I didn’t know that she still needs a piece of mind… It was just few days thing”
“She is messing with serenity”
Lucifer linked.
“Keep your eyes open because Your Dianna has a big mouth… Stupid girl is playing with fire…”
“She is not my Dianna.”
Nicolai clenched his jaw.
“And i think she has already fuelled the fire.”
He looked at serenity.
“If something happens then you will be responsible for that”
Vincent warned.
“Don’t come at me… Not like you guys don’t have a past…”
He argued.
“Do you guys know that i can hear you?”
Serenity linked three of them and their spines stilled. They couldn’t move for a second while serenity was acting cool and calm.
Lucifer looked at Nicolai and mouthed him.
‘no one can save you now’
While Nicolai gulped nervously.
“So, can we start the questions?”
Dianna asked and serenity gestured her to continue.
“As I said, this is a new world… Women has made their place everywhere and are equally capable of everything… But here you are, still not getting seperate chair and have to sit on your man’s lap… Do you think it’s still necessary, women are not just an object anymore… I am sure you definitely mean something to your mates.”
There goes first offensive question.
“I think I can explain the answer better than my queen…”
Nicolai interrupted.
“May I Dianna?”
He wasn’t really asking, it was an order.
“Of course, my king”
Her attitude didn’t change.
“Sitting on lap doesn’t mean we treat our woman like an object or like she is a nobody… Like we all know, our queen is far more than just an average supernatural…. Not just us, there is no one who can defeat her..”
He said proudly.
“But even if we want we can’t give seperate throne”
All eyes narrowed at him but he kept his calm.
“Because it means that she our equal but in reality she has higher status in us.”
He declared.
“There is a tradition that no one can claim king’s lap except one person… That place is reserved for someone special… And If someone claimed that place then that person will have authority over king…”
Serenity looked at him confused.
“Queen has higher status in our family… It’s our pleasure to serve our queen… Sitting on our lap is tradition and only queen can do it because she has power over king…”
Nicolai Smirked at Dianna. He knows that she was dreaming to become a queen but he realised her intentions and broke his ties with her.
“I hope that answers your question, my love”
Vincent mind linked serenity.
“You are in my lap because You have authority over me… You are above me and this is your throne… Luckily, you have three thrones.”
Serenity doesn’t know how to react on this.
“Your highness…”
One man said.
“We all know what happened that night… Is it true that your relationship is not good with kings… We all have heard things, would you like to clear the fog”
Serenity nodded in understanding.
“Yes, i know there are rumours but i hope you all have seen the reason behind it too… Being royals doesn’t mean our lives are different than any of you. Misunderstanding happens and we deal with it too… Fortunately, everything has fallen in its place and i assure that you don’t need to worry about it anymore…,”
“Why didn’t you claim for a throne?”
One of them asked.
“I like my freedom”
She smiled.
“And i guess, i have already got the throne.”
She looked at hybrids.
Questions and answers kept going on and serenity answered some of them honestly and for some she had to give twisted answers.
“That’s all for the day, ladies and gentlemen… I request you all to stay till our 100th anniversary… I’ll end the day here…”
The host dismissed everyone.
Serenity stood up too.
“Sera”
Nicolai grabbed her hand.
“I had no idea that Dianna will create a scene… She is a past, trust me.”
Serenity Smirked.
“You think I am jealous of that girl”
He whispered looking at him intensely.
“Trust me, that’s the last think I’ll do after living for a five thousand years… Come on Nico…”
She patted his chest.
“We are not teenagers… Do whatever you want, i don’t care if your ex lovers are coming back in your life… Because anyway, we don’t trust each other…”
“You don’t care serenity?”
Vincent asked in little frustrated tone.
“I don’t”
She stated confidently.
“Do whatever you want but do it outside the campus.. i won’t tolerate the pain for your fun.”
“Am I interrupting something?”
Serenity looked at Dianna who was standing there with arrogant smile.
“The conversation looked quite serious… Sorry but can I borrow king Nicolai from you… Don’t mind me, i just want to talk to long lost friend”
She looked at Nicolai.
Serenity smiled.
“You don’t need my permission…”
She placed her hand on Dianna’s shoulder and she stepped back with gasp.
King’s frowned at Dianna when she did that.
Serenity Smirked.
“You shouldn’t step into battle field if you are scared of blood…”
Serenity lowered her tone while Dianna started sweating.
“You know what I mean.”
Serenity walked away with that while Nicolai was standing there frustrated. Why she is not jealous like them. Why it’s so for her deal with everything.
“Did we really lost our serenity?”
Lucifer mind linked his brothers.
