Chapter 44 The End

Book:LOVE IS BRAVE Published:2024-5-1

Aurelia stood still with her gun, and the breeze blew over and made her long hair messy. She stared straight at Reginald. Then she suddenly raised her head and laughed out loud.
“Fine! In that case, go to hell. Since you love her so much, I’ll let them go as soon as you’re dead.”
“Aurelia!” Josephine looked at her in shock and shouted out.
Reginald looked at Aurelia sternly. He did not bring any bodyguards with him today, and he did not know where Regan was now, since the twins were caught by Aurelia. She was now unstable and moody, and even a little thing would provoke her into killing them immediately.
He could not risk his twins.
Otherwise, even if they could survive, Josephine would never forgive him again.
“Don’t treat me like an idiot! I want you to jump now. It’s night and this sea is deep. You’re bound to die!”
Aurelia loosened the rope in her hand. She glared at Reginald with hatred, “If you don’t jump, they’ll die now!”
Lochlan and Myra cried out in fear, and Josephine also cried out, her hands covered her trembling lips. She said, “Don’t. Please don’t…”
The sea was extraordinarily quiet. Reginald was staring at the gun in Aurelia’s hand. Suddenly, after he had determined the appropriate angle to rush up to grab the gun in her hand, he raised his leg. When he felt a strong wind past his ears, he heard a loud BANG.
It was a loud sound.
Reginald stood still.
His face immediately turned pale. His eyes were wide open. When he turned around, he saw Josephine with her hands over her abdomen. She sat down on her knees in pain, and blood was spreading gradually on her dress.
“Josephine!”
Reginald shouted hysterically.
“If you don’t want to die, she can go to hell instead. I’m just going to break you up. Josephine, you’ve been shot. You’re going to die anyway, so jump.”
“Don’t you dare!”
Aurelia laughed conspiratorially, “Why not? I have nothing left. Josephine, will you jump or not? If you don’t, I’ll kill your child immediately!”
She shouted as she lowered the rope in her hand down quickly.
“I jump!”
Josephine covered her stomach and immediately held onto the railing in an attempt to stand up.
“Don’t you dare to jump, Josephine!”
Reginald shouted out hysterically. His eyes were red, and tears dripped down from the corners of his eyes slowly.
It was the first time Josephine saw him crying. She braced herself and smiled to him, “As long as you can save our children, I’ll forgive you.”
Reginald’ face was pale, and he suddenly recalled the scene three years ago when she was lying on a stretcher covered in blood, begging him to save her child.
He could not give her up again for his children.
Josephine took off her heels and took one last look at her two children as tears came to her eyes. “I’m sorry. Mommy loves you, always will.”
The twins’ crying grew louder and louder. They cried out, “Mommy…”
Both her feet were on the railing, and she threw one leg out. The breeze made her thin body shaking, and she closed her eyes in despair, and loosened her hands gradually…
A black shadow was faster than her. Reginald rushed over, held her waist and turned around. Before Josephine could react, Reginald had already let go of her and rolled over onto the railing.
Reginald’ clothes fluttered and the corners of his eyes were bloody red as he looked at Josephine with affection. He said, “Josephine, I love you.”
Josephine was stunned.
Reginald jumped over the railing.
“Reginald!”
Josephine shouted hysterically, and her whole body was lying on the railing. She looked at the sea that was completely calm after Reginald jumped in. She could not help crying out piteously.
Seeing that, Aurelia was completely stunned with eyes wide open. She seized the rope as her whole body went limp, and some police officers suddenly rushed up from around the deck, aiming their guns at Aurelia. Then several policemen stepped forward to save the two children.
Regan rushed toward them. He was knocked unconscious by Aurelia from behind. When he woke up and heard about the situation, he immediately called the police. He ran to Josephine and saw her crying miserably in pain. However, he could not find Reginald anywhere on the deck. When he realized what happened, he was stunned.
When Josephine looked at the dark sea stretching at all sides as far as the eye could see, she recalled the scenes since they met in the first place.
The piercing sea breeze made her so cold. One of her feet reached out over the railing again. At this moment, she was dragged back by Regan and fell onto the deck.
She didn’t tell him that she actually forgave him.
She didn’t tell him that she never forgot him in the past three years.
She didn’t tell him that she still loved him.
She felt so painful that she could hardly breathe, and her eyes dulled and closed.
