Chapter 42 I Want You Back

Book:LOVE IS BRAVE Published:2024-5-1

“Bah!” Josephine blows a raspberry loudly and said, “Who forced me to get a divorce three years ago? I’ve already divorced you, and don’t make a fool of yourself!”
Reginald’ eyes widened and he stood up. He said, “It was Aurelia who deceived me, and I finally found out after you left. I held those who hurt you accountable and they paid their prices. Who the hell do you think I did all this for? Aaron had concealed his identity and lied to you for three years. I was married to you for less than a year before you left me. Josephine, how could you be so heartless to me?”
Josephine was stunned, “What? What did you say?”
“What exactly do you want me to do?”
Reginald stared at her and looked wretched. He said, “I have been living in guilt for you for the whole three years. It was so hard to find you. I’ve tried my best to ask you to come back. I’ve never been so attached to a woman. What else do you want me to do?”
Josephine looked at him in shock and tears flooded down her cheek suddenly. She could hardly believe any words that he said.
Reginald suddenly hugged her fiercely, with his jaw resting on her shoulder. There was a strong smell of alcohol. His arms circled around her waist tightly. “You said you loved me. I don’t want you to fall in love with anyone but me!”
What he roared was incoherent, but his tone was so firm that no one could doubt him. Josephine reached out to cover her trembling lips as tears blurred her vision again.
She broke away from his embrace and was about to leave. But her hand was clutched in his and she was pulled back by him.
“Josephine, I’ve torn the divorce agreement. As long as you come back, I will give you whatever you want. I’ll never take our daughter or son from you again. I want you back…”
Seeing this, Regan standing beside bowed his head and walked out of the room. But when he was about to lock the door, Josephine gritted her teeth as she pushed away Reginald’ hand and dashed out…
When Reginald woke up the next day, Josephine was not here anymore.
He asked someone to prepare a car, picked up the twins from his grandfather’s house and drove them together to the fancy apartment building Aaron had rented for Josephine.
Josephine stood beside the floor-to-ceiling window and saw a row of black limousine parked downstairs. She knew who was coming.
However, she didn’t want to escape this time.
Last night, when she ran out of Reginald’ room, Regan caught up with her and told her that what happened to Aaron was arranged by Reginald’s grandfather Dominic. Dominic had acted on his own and informed against Aaron taking advantage of Dominic’s relationship with Leonard E. G. Besides, he also told her what happened after she left three years ago.
Aurelia went so far to hit Reginald with her car and forced Josephine to leave, and Reginald had done a thorough investigation about Aurelia. Reginald knew what she had been plotting behind his back for a long time, so he sold Aurelia to Ralphy who had almost defiled her in the first place, and Mrs. Cooke was also sent abroad by him. The Cooke Family was driven out of Breton City at that time and completely declined after that.
Reginald helped Josephine get rid of the bad reputation in the city and pushed everything back to Aurelia, whose reputation was worse than Josephine’s three years ago.
When Josephine heard the doorbell ringing, she wiped off her tears, turned around and opened the door.
The twins immediately threw themselves into her arms with excitement and said, “Mommy!”
Josephine hugged her daughter and kissed her passionately on her little cheek before releasing her, which made Lochlan standing beside really jealous. He pouted angrily, “Mom, you love my sister so much.”
Josephine could not help but laugh when she heard what he said. She hugged him and kissed him on the face before releasing him. However, a tall man came close and suddenly seized Lochlan’s back collar and lifted him up. Of course, he was Reginald. He glanced at Luchlan with a fierce expression and said, “You are a man. Do not learn from girls and become jealous. Stand aside!”
Lochlan dared not to disobey his father as always, as he had a really violent temper. He took the initiative to take his sister’s hand and ran into the living room. He then began to watch TV with his sister.
Josephine glanced at Lochlan who was overly well-behaved and looked back at Reginald, whose expression was still gloomy. She said, “Actually, you don’t need to bring them here if you want to see me.”
Reginald was stunned for a moment and became even more angry. He said, “Who told you I wanted to see you? I have to take them here before they tear down grandpa’s villa.”
Josephine felt so embarrassed that the corner of her mouth twitched. She looked down and went into the living room. Then, she asked, “What’s up?”
Reginald’ expression instantly turned angry and he said viciously, “Can’t I come to see you if I have nothing in my mind?”
Josephine looked at him wordless. When she was about to ignore him and go into the kitchen to prepare some fruit juice for the two kids, Regan suddenly walked in, followed by a large team of brightly dressed fashion stylists, carrying various props. They greeted respectfully, “Mr. and Mrs. Barnes.”
Reginald replied coldly, shot a glance at Josephine, and sat on the sofa, waiting for her in silence.
The group of people rushed up at once and pulled Josephine into the bedroom. They made a beautiful hairstyle for her, put make-up on her face and helped her into a gown. Before Josephine could react, they had pushed her in front of Reginald.
Reginald put down the newspaper and looked her up and down. While looking at her, he found her more and more attractive. He smiled with satisfaction, stood up and hugged her with one arm. He told Regan, “Prepare the car.”
They got in the car and the driver slowly started up the car. The twins were with Regan in another car. At this moment, Josephine resumed her senses. She frowned and asked Reginald, “Where are you going?”
Reginald cast a glance at her, and there was a cunning smile flashing in his handsome eyes. “You’ll know when we arrive.”
