Kora shoves forward and traps him with my legs. My face heats at her boldness. And he leans down, pecking at my lips. “I was wondering when you would come forward, Kora,” Kyan chuckles before kissing me.
His tongue invades my mouth as he kisses me, and Kora, the tart, starts purring while I try to stop her from rubbing my nakedness against him. However, Kyan doesn’t seem to mind. Instead, he leans closer and presses himself against me.
A startled gasp makes me pull away when I feel the hardness of him pressing against my thigh. “Let her go, Kora,” Kyan growls at her, nipping at my shoulder. Kora huffs, annoyed but gives me full control back, flicking her tail in my head as she struts away.
“Stupid horny wolf,” I mutter.
“I would blame Kaif, but that is all me you’re feeling pressed against you; I am just not embarrassed to admit it,” Kyan teases and I raise an eyebrow at him.
“I am not embarrassed, or like my hussey of a wolf.”
“Then why are legs still holding me against you?” Kyan chuckles, and I quickly unwrap them from around his waist. Kyan presses his lips against mine briefly. “I can’t mark you or mate you, but that doesn’t mean we can’t do other things, Ella,” Kyan purrs before assaulting my mouth with his tongue in a very obscene, lewd way as he presses himself against me.
“Breakfast!” Lucas calls out. Kyan groans and pecks my lips and climbs off me, leaving me extremely hot and bothered. He retrieves a shirt and tosses it to me, along with some boxer shorts.
I grab them, pulling them on while Kyan waits for me. As I pull them on, I notice how slick my thighs are and feel between my legs is throbbing. My face heats, knowing he can probably smell how aroused I am.
“Now you can’t blame that on Kora; I will happily take the blame for making you wet,” Kyan taunts, and his eyes flicker to Kaif for a second. My eyes narrow at them, feeling like they are both snickering at my embarrassment and discomfort.
“Come on, I know Lucas will be upset if you don’t eat his pancakes.”
“See, now your uncle is husband material,” I laugh.
“More like housewife material. He bakes more than any woman I have ever known and is constantly cleaning,” Kyan groans.
“Men clean. My fathers do a lot of the chores back home.” I shrug.
“I never said they don’t, just that Lucas appears to be more feminine regarding household duties, and he appears to actually enjoy them. I bet your fathers don’t really enjoy doing the washing, or making jam as he does, or baking enough to feed an army when there are only the two of us,” Kyan chuckles.
“My fathers suck at cooking. They usually leave that for Mom or one of the cooks,” I admit.
“Point proven, whereas Lucas is pretty good at most household aspects, he also enjoys sewing, even has his own sewing room.”
“Again, not just a feminine thing. I hate sewing and wouldn’t even be able to sew a damn button correctly.” He shrugs, snatching my hand and leading me out of the room.
Marabella
The next day
“Again, Ella,” Kyan urges as I try to feel for the stupid shadows. I don’t understand how I unleashed them, let alone how to force them out and control them.
“Kyan, I am tired, and it’s fucking freezing out here,” I snap at him. This is ridiculous. Can’t he teach me something cool to do with these powers, like pick a lock or make something blow up?
“I am definitely not teaching you how to blow shit up,” Kyan taunts.
“Stay out of my head,” I snap.
“You have to learn to control them unless you want an apocalypse to arise, so this comes first, and blowing shit up – never. The last thing I need is for you to blow the damn house up,” Kyan says, and I roll my eyes.
My phone buzzes in my pocket, and I pull it out, seeing that it is my mother. My thumb moves across the screen and I hit the reject. I was hoping it was Jonah. I still hadn’t heard from him, and I am beginning to worry. Although Kyan assures me he is fine, I still want to hear his voice.
“You can’t keep rejecting her calls!” Kyan snaps at me.
“I can by swiping reject,” I tell him, and he growls at me.
“You are in a terrible mood today,” Kyan observes while walking over to me.
“Yes, because I am freezing. My nipples feel like they are about to jump off my damn chest to seek warmth, my toes are numb, and it is going to rain; I’m done for the day,” I tell him, stomping past him.
A second later, I hear him shift, and another moment passes when I hear Kaif’s rancorous laughter. I peek over my shoulder. My eyes widen when I spot him running at me, and Kora shrieks in my head.
“Run, he’s gonna eat us. Wait, stay. Depends on what type of eating we are talking about first.” I shake my head at her and her vulgar thoughts. Kaif’s hands glow when a thought occurs to me.
I wonder briefly if it will work on him before trying. “Flataska Potenza,” I yell. He freezes. His magic fizzles out, and he looks down at his hands.
“You little-” Kaif breaks out of the spell instantly.
“Scuabadh coise,” Dominic’s voice says in my head.
“Scuabadh coise,” I say before I chuckle.
Kaif’s eyes go wide before his legs are suddenly tossed in the air. Dominic bursts out laughing in my head as Kaif is put on his ass. Kaif sits up and shakes his head. I clamp my hand over my mouth, shocked at what I had done.
“I’m out,” Dominic laughs before vanishing.
“Wait, don’t leave, now what?” All I get is his laughter when Kaif’s head whips in my direction. How was I supposed to know it would put him on his ass? Thanks, Dom! I think as the beast starts getting up.
“Oh crap,” I mutter as he shakes himself out. Kaif smiles a wolfy grin, and my heart rate picks up.
“What’s the time, Mr. Wolf?” Kora chants in my head.
“Ah, Kora?” I ask, stepping back while he stalks toward me with that same sadistic gleam in his eyes. I know he won’t hurt me, but I still don’t like the look he is giving me. It screams trouble.
“Pretty sure it is dinner time. Run, get your ass moving,” she cackles. I turn, tripping over my own feet in my haste. I hear his deep belly rumbling laugh as I scramble to my feet and take off.
“Shift Kor, you’re faster,” I snap at her.
“You have a five-second head start, Ella!” Kaif calls out. I squeak, pushing my legs harder as I run toward the manor.
“Kora, shift, he will fucking catch me,” I snap at her.
“Better you than me,” she chants.
“What? What kind of wolf are you? You’re supposed to save me.”
“Yeah, that’s a Lycan, so you are on your own, like how you left me to attack that daddy long legs spider while you squealed to kill it.”
“That’s different. That was a spider, not a Kaif!”
“Same difference,” she tuts, turning her nose up at me.
“Times up.”
I make the mistake of looking behind me to see Kaif stretch. Oh shit!
“Oh, now things are getting interesting,” Kora chimes as I yelp when I spot him running toward me.
“Help, you damn imbecile!” I scream at her.
“No, I am looking forward to being caught,” Kora laughs.
“Then shift. He can catch you then,” I tell her, running through the garden. Kaif likes his flowers, and I may have squashed a few but, I know he won’t run through it but around it which gives me extra time. I run up the back steps.
