Aleena’s POV

Without wasting a second, we took Eva to the hospital. Everyone was praying that nothing wrong would happen with that little pup who was the source of happiness in everyone’s life even before his or her arrival. From the moment this had happened, Roman was in control of Daniel’s body, and he was literally pissed.
I couldn’t be sure that I was the one with whom he was pissed or Eva or the doctor who was not telling anytime to him or the people around him or himself or the whole world.
‘Aleena is also my baby.’ Her words were ringing in my ears like an alarm that was not letting me sit calmly. Even at this stage, he was thinking about me. Tears rolled out of my eyes, recalling that moment, but it never landed because Stephen wiped it in the middle.
“Both her pup and she will be fine.”, he answered my unasked question. “I know her. She is a way stronger than anyone could think of.”, he whispered, hugging me and rubbing my back. “Only you were the one who considered her weak all your life.”, he joked, making me cry.
I always took her for granted, called her names like BITCH, STUPID, IDIOT, PLAIN, WEAKLING, and many more, but the reality was that I should be the one to deserve to be called those names. She was always the best sister to me, but all I considered was my enemy, who thought of her as a person who kept dad away from me.
While the truth was that it was never her but it.
I was the reason for everything that happened while I always blamed her.
Even after the dad’s death, I realized my mistake, but I acted stubbornly and didn’t apologize to her for my behavior. I didn’t apologize to the person who was always there for me as my second mother, who always saved my ass from getting kicked.
I wondered why do I realize the value of the person when I’m close to losing him or her?
First, dad.
Now, Eva.
The very first thing that I would do once Eva would be awake was to apologize to her. Though I didn’t deserve her forgiveness still, I would apologize to her with the hope that she would forgive me someday, and I would be ready to do anything to make things right.
“I won’t be able to forgive myself if anything happens to her pup.”, I admitted the truth. I literally didn’t consider myself that important for whom a mother could risk her pup’s life. I hadn’t done one damn good thing in my life because of which an innocent deserve to sacrifice his or her life.
“Remember one thing, Lina. Whatever happens, you will not be the reason for anything. It was Eva’s choice to choose you over her pup, and she knew what she was doing, okay?” he tried to console me, but I shook my head, not agreeing with her, and sobbed. “Trust me, Lina. She really knew, after all, she could control the time, she could see what was going to happen and which had happened?”
“WHAT?”
“Yes. That’s what her vampire gift is.’
It took me a while to understand what exactly Stephen had said. She had the gift to see what was going to happen and which had happened.
Did this mean she always knew? She always knew what I was planning or what I was going to do?
‘Yes!’, This type, it was not Stephen who answered, but Leia did, and along with that, she gave me something else, a vision. A vision of Ivory and Leia’s first conversation.

‘My name is Ivory. I’m Evangeline’s Lycan wolf. I am waiting for the opportunity when could finally talk to you, my little sister.’
‘You.. you. How can you enter my mind? And Aleena and Eva is sister. We are not sisters.’
‘Even we are sisters because my blood runs in your vein because of which your paws and tails are white. Not only that, your one’s color is similar to mine. So, never, never ever mention that we aren’t sisters.’,
‘Now, coming back to your previous question, I can enter your mind anytime because you’re the part of me. It was just that I didn’t want your human to know about us.’
‘How… how did you know that it’s me who is in the control of her body?’
‘Perk of Evangeline’s gift. Evangeline’s vampire part has the gift of controlling time. Well, not just that she can control time. She can do a lot of things like time travel, seeing the future, and many more things related to time. That’s why I knew that you were going to take control of Aleena’s body. Yes! I know what will happen in the next moment, but if you’re going to ask anything about your future, then I can’t tell you that. But remember that the future isn’t set in stone, and even if it was, the stone could be broken.’
‘Does it mean that you know what Aleena is planning for the future?’ I asked.
‘Yes! I know. In fact, from the moment Eva learned to control her powers, from that time, she always knew about everything, Aleena’s each and every plan against her.’
‘And she did nothing against it? She even let those vampires hurt Daniel?’
‘She can see the future and can time travel doesn’t mean it’s a cool power. Sometimes, she has to let those things happen that she doesn’t want to so that there is no alteration in the fate of other people’s life. Every incident is related to one other. If she changes one thing, then what the god had decided for that person can be changed too. Daniel’s injury was important because it was related to the death of those vampires. You find your mate and a lot of things that followed after.’
‘Oh, okay. Then her power is of no use when she can’t use it.’
‘It’s not that she CAN’T. It’s just that she DOESN’T use her power for silly things.’
‘So, Eva is never going to teach Aleena any lesson?’
‘I doubt that she will because as much as I know, she loves her younger sister a lot even though she knows that Aleena considers her nothing but a bitch.’
‘Okayyy!! One last question, Moon Goddess told me that I’m chosen to be someone’s guardian. I didn’t understand that part. Can you please elaborate on that part? Because guardian means a person who protects or defends something. And as far as I know, my human, she is the selfish bitch and only thinks about her. She will always think about protecting and defending herself.’
‘You are chosen by Evangeline to be our guardian.’)

“Does that mean that she also knew about dad’s death?” I couldn’t help asking Stephen. I get it that she always knew what I was planning against her. She was always one step ahead of me, and she let the things happen in a way so that I would think that I was winning, but that was not the truth. It was never, in fact. Now back to the question that I had asked Stephen, I wondered whether she knew about dad’s death? There was a high chance that she did.
