After they finished eating, Sabrina bid Meghan farewell because she wanted to take a stroll. Scarlet was still asleep, and the nanny was with her to watch over the child.

39″I’ll be back soon,” Sabrina promised, assuring Meghan that she would return quickly.
“Take your time, Sabrina. I want to sleep for a bit, even if it’s just for a short while,” Meghan said.
Sabrina smiled and nodded because she understood Meghan’s situation. She had heard about Stonewick before but she never got the chance to visit the place. Caden Lockwood was also a friend of Brandon Hart. The place was really full of surprises just like what was mentioned in the magazine.
The thick clouds covered the sunlight, providing the perfect opportunity to frolic in the sea. She hugged herself as a strong and slightly cold breeze blew by the shoreline of the most famous resort in Stonewick. She felt a twinge of envy as she walked alone, without someone to hold hands with.
She regretted not bringing her cell phone because she could have listened to her favorite playlist while walking. That way, she wouldn’t have noticed how lonely it was to be alone in a place surrounded by lovers. She felt completely out of place! Then, Sabrina did a double take when she failed to recognize the man with sunglasses and a cap on his head, and her eyes widened when she realized who was blocking her way.
“Kenneth McBride?” she wondered why the man was also at Stonewick. Was it just a coincidence that they met? How embarrassing! She tried to avoid him, but it seemed like they were destined to meet.
“Hello sweetheart, don’t you miss me?” Kenneth smiled as he approached the bewildered woman. Sabrina probably thought he couldn’t escape from her. No way! Never!
“Are you stalking me?” She clenched her teeth as she considered the possibility that the man had indeed followed her.
“Yup. But can you blame me? I want us to be okay again,” Kenneth said.
“Are you crazy? Is it that easy for you? My god, you’re impossible as always, Kenneth!” Sabrina couldn’t believe that he had followed her all the way to Stonewick. “Didn’t I make myself clear that it’s too late for that?” Sabrina was infuriated that Kenneth refused to understand her point. “I’ve moved on, and I hope you do too,” she added. “Besides, we are already divorced! We are over since three years ago!”
“Liar! Your actions speak differently from the words you said about me, Sabrina. I think you need to be more convincing,” Kenneth stated. “Besides, what are you going to do with my child? Continue raising her without a father?”
“There’s a lot of father figure at home, Kenneth. So, please don’t worry,” she told him.
“What about the kiss?”
Sabrina’s eyes widened in shock that he had the audacity to mention the kiss that night. On the night of her party, she saw Kenneth among the guests and immediately sought him out to talk to him; that he was not welcome in the party. They had an argument until his only way of making her quiet was to kiss him, but then, she saw Scarlet!
“If you are talking about that kiss, it meant nothing to me! I agreed to it just to make sure if I was still interested in you or not,” Sabrina lied. Initially, the kiss had a purpose to silence her, but after a few seconds, she responded to his fervent ardor.
Kenneth raised his eyebrows in disbelief, as he didn’t believe that Sabrina had no more feelings for him. She was just lying to save her pride. How cute! “And you discovered that you still have feelings for me,” he declared.
“Wrong. I kissed someone else the other night, and my response to that person was the same as to you,” Sabrina lied again.
Kenneth clenched his jaws upon hearing that and wanted to hurt the man Sabrina mentioned. “You’re lying!” He shouted.
“Why are you angry? Because you believe that I’m not lying, right?” She further angered him. With his line of work, he knew whether she was lying or not, but he was used to lying during his younger days. “Ouch! Let me go,” Sabrina warned the man as he held her arm tightly.
“Take back what you said!” Kenneth commanded the woman.
Would she be scared? Never! The two of them stared each other in the eye. “I don’t want to!” Sabrina stubbornly asserted. “Besides, why do you care? Just go back to Isabelle, okay?”
“Take it back!” Kenneth repeated his earlier statement.
“I am not a liar, and if one of us is a liar, it’s you!” Sabrina raised her voice as if she truly hated him. How absurd! Sabrina shouted when Kenneth suddenly lifted her on his shoulder as if her sixty-pound weight meant nothing to him. “I will scream,” she warned him.
“Then scream,” Kenneth challenged her to cause a scene at the resort, and as expected, Sabrina kept her mouth shut for a few seconds.
A few seconds later, Kenneth yelled when Sabrina suddenly bit his ear, but it didn’t stop him from walking towards the rented vehicle and placing her in the backseat.
“Behave, or you will regret it,” he warned Sabrina. Kenneth touched his ear that he almost lost earlier if Sabrina hadn’t stopped him.
“Is this kidnapping?” she asked him.
“Kidnapping? Did I drag you here?” he responded with a question.
“No, but you scared me!” She retorted, not wanting anyone to hear their conversation. However, she wondered why she didn’t ask for help when she noticed a staff member not far away.
“Was what I said earlier scary? I just said I would ravish you anywhere if you misbehave,” Kenneth whispered in the last line. Sabrina took a step back as if she was afraid of their bodies touching.
“Stop it!” She scolded the man who seemed to be enjoying his ear being breathed on.
“Why? Did my words make you horny, sweetheart?” He teased Sabrina even more before the elevator opened.
“What do you really want from me?” She asked him while they were inside the elevator.
“Do you really want to know? Come closer to me.” He said, and he smiled when Sabrina followed his instructions. He leaned in and whispered, “I want you.”
Sabrina immediately pushed him away because he was acting up again. “You’re crazy!” She shouted.
“True. I’m going crazy for you,” Kenneth confessed. “Anyway, do you want to eat anything? They have excellent room service here,” he said to the woman.
Sabrina raised an eyebrow at the remark from the man. “Those kinds of lines seem too late for me,” she told him.
“It’s better late than never,” Kenneth replied.
Sabrina couldn’t help but laugh at the things the man was saying. She felt like she was getting closer to killing him.
“Can I leave now? You said we would talk about the child, but all you’ve done is annoy me,” she said and quickly headed toward the door. “Useless,” she added while standing at the door. In truth, she regretted agreeing to talk inside his room.
“Useless? I only expressed what’s in my heart,” Kenneth insisted.
“Can’t you behave? You act like a child!” She scolded him. “Man up, Kenneth. Be true to yourself for once,” Sabrina said.
Kenneth’s expression suddenly changed because he felt insulted by Sabrina’s words. She belittled his masculinity. He approached the woman and held her shoulders.
“I’m real, Sabrina. Why won’t you believe me?”
Sabrina just rolled her eyes and glared at the man. “I have my reasons for not wanting to believe in you. Maybe you forgot how you rejected me in the past and betrayed me,” she said.
Kenneth fell silent because he didn’t know how to respond to the woman. “How about this?” He asked before kissing her crimson lips.
Sabrina was speechless for a few seconds, and when she regained her composure, she burst into laughter.
“Is that all? How weak! I’m no longer a teenager to fall for those moves,” Sabrina belittled the man’s actions. It no longer worked on her.
“Tell me what I need to do to earn your forgiveness,” he changed his approach because his previous attempts had failed. The tips to win a woman’s heart again he found online didn’t work. He took a deep breath, thinking about his past mistakes with Sabrina.
Finally, the opportunity he had been waiting for arrived. He walked confidently towards the window, pulled aside the thick curtain, and looked outside. The view was beautiful! As beautiful as the opportunity in front of him.
“Hmmm, you can leave me alone… or be my slave!” she told him her condition.
“Sex slave?” Kenneth asked.
“You and your dirty mind! I’m sorry, but that’s not part of the job description. You’re going to be Scarlet’s nanny and my personal assistant, take it or leave it!” She raised her eyebrow while waiting for the man’s response.
Kenneth hesitated to accept Sabrina’s offer because he had no experience being a nanny. He could cook, clean, and do chores, but being a nanny was something he wasn’t sure he could handle.
“Is that final?” He asked the woman.
Sabrina was pleased with Kenneth’s hesitation because she also didn’t want to be stuck under the same roof as him. “Yep,” she replied.
“It’s challenging, but I agree,” Kenneth answered.
She was defeated! She bit her lip while thinking of a good plan to outsmart the man. “Are you sure?” she asked him to confirm his decision or if he might back out.
“I’m sure. So if you plan on backing out of our agreement, I won’t allow it,” he said.
“I still have the right to terminate the contract anytime, anywhere,” she told him, making it clear that she would be the one in control.
“What kind of violation is grounds for termination?” Kenneth asked Sabrina because he didn’t want to be kicked out of the house before he could execute his plan.
“For example,” she said while looking at the ceiling, “kissing me like that will give me a reason to terminate our agreement instantly.”
