*Ryder’s POV
“Shall we?” I asked pointing towards my office to my supposed to be love rival. But him saying about how Kat couldn’t forget me is removing him from the love rival position.
“Your office is comfy.” Richard says.
“Why are you here? To get my Kat back?” I asked angrily.
I am not blind to not notice he is handsome. From the moment he is here the girls have been swooning over him. I can now share the admiration of girls with others but not my Kat’s. I used to feel jealous when others admire other guys other than me. I know it sounds selfish. I mean who doesn’t want everyone’s attention on them? Well I do want.
Though it sounds like I am considering Kat as my object when I say that she is mine and I want her whole attention on me, I don’t care. She is mine.
What makes me even angrier is the fact that he was laughing at me when I asked him. Who the hell does he think he is to laugh at me?
“She was never mine to get her back. She is her own self and she decides who she wants to be with.” Richard says innocently.
“Cut the crap!” I growled.
“Okay. Sorry. Truth be told. She was and is all yours. Though I know you two broke things off till few months backs, she never forgot about you. Everytime we were together she used to always say she can not forget you and start a new relationship.”
He came towards me and put his hand on my shoulder.
“You are one hell of a lucky guy to have a girl like her. Whom you dumped yet couldn’t move on from you and hoped one day for you two to be together though you broke her heart. She still loved you.” He smiled ruefully at me. I shrugged his hand of me and walked towards my desk with a small smile on my face.
“Don’t hurt her again. She will always have me as her friend to hurt you the same way you do to her. Though I suppose its inevitable.” He sighs.
“What are you talking about?” I asked confused.
He again walked towards and reached his back pocket to retrieve a letter.
“I got it from my boss the day she came to your office for your project.”
I took the letter from him. Reading the content made my face go paler.
It wrote:
“BECAREFUL RYDER, HURTING HER IS INEVITABLE BUT THEY WONT LET YOU GO LIKE THEY DIDN’T LET YOUR PARENTS GO.
DAMIEN”
“I was told not to read this letter. But the moment my boss told me it is for you I couldn’t let my emotions not control me and I read it. Though I understood nothing I got that its something for you and not for Katherine to be read. I came here to give this to you and not because I missed my friend.” He said.
“Thanks Ric-”
My voice was cut off by the alarm from his phone.
“Wait is it the time for?” I asked.

*Kat’s POV
“Yeah so everytime I suggested for taking our relationship to the next level. Katherine always rejected and came up with ridiculous excuse as to why not.” Richard said reminiscing our time together to our friends.
After the conversation in front of Ry’s office we decided to have our lunch in his cafeteria. And Ry came up with the most awesome plan to talk about my office stories with Richard. Note my sarcasm here.
“Guys can we change the topic please?” I asked embarrassed stuffing my head in the spaghetti.
“Ofcourse not.” Ry said laughing.
“Isnt it because you want to hear again and again how I was desperate to get you back?”
“Absolutely not!” Ry exclaimed making my eyebrows raised to which he shrugged. “Well can you blame me for wanting to hear from others how you loved me?”
“Nope cant.” Others said unanimously.
“Sorry guys as much as I enjoy in saying the stories of the great Katherine Marshall, I have to go back to my office.” Richard said after checking his watch for the time and getting up dusting his suit.
“I will walk you out gladly.” I said to which I got laughter from everyone.
I was walking with Richard to the parking lot along with Ryder. Apparently he doesn’t want me alone with any guy after seeing how I am very friendly with them. Possessive Randy.
“Okay here is where I leave you guys.” He said once we reached his car.
He turned towards me and he extended his arms to which I gave him a hug much to Ryder’s annoyance. To which I just laughed at him.
As he turned to leave I was reminded of something.
“Hey, one second, do you like Raven?” I asked to Richard. Noticing how he stiffened at the mention of Raven my doubt was confirmed.
“I don’t want to lie and say its not true while I know you wont believe so instead I am asking. How did you know?”
“Well for one, you were looking at her all through the lunch like a teenager sitting next to his crush. And second, you were laughing at all the cheesy jokes she was saying.”
“Hey you laughed at it too.” He said offended.
“Well some were good but some not so much.” I said shrugging.
“Yeah I like her. Is she free?” He asked.
“I would love to say if she is available or not because she is but anything further I don’t want to say respecting her privacy but just so you know she comes with a baggage.” I said.
“Who doesn’t? All human beings have their own baggage. Overcoming it is what makes them stronger. Still being kind and sweet to others despite the hard times instead of being a villain in others story is what makes them a human. So seeing how she is I can say that she is a strong human.” He said with admiration in his eyes.
Its true everyone comes with their own baggage. I don’t know if its because she said her story to me that I feel like I can see the trauma she went through in her eyes. But if its not then Richard must have too seen it.
“Good luck man. She is a sweet girl. Don’t hurt her or will hurt you.” Ryder said one hand around my shoulder and the other extending towards him.
“Thanks man and take care. I will see you again. Hopefully next time I meet you I would have atleast her number with me.” Richard said while shaking Ry’s hand and getting into his car.
As we watched him drove off Ry and I walked towards the elevator.
“Are you a cupid now?”
“Maybe” I said chuckling.
“Well then you might be the worst.” He said. I looked at him confused.
“Why?”
“Because I am not getting my share of love from my love.” He said pouting.
I laughed. And kissed him.
Oh my love, I intend to share my love for you the rest of my life.
As long as we both shall live.
