I already told you what you need to do to make me stop electrocuting him,” He says, pulling my face to the front of his pants. I look at Theo, and I can see in his eyes he does not want me to do this, but I can’t just watch him die from electrocution. It will haunt me forever if that happens.
“I will do it. Please stop electrocuting him”
“No, honey, you go first,” He says, zipping down his pants. He is about to bring out his member when a voice outside halts his actions.
“That’s enough, Gordon.” I hear Walden say from outside. I have never been happier in my life to hear his voice.
“Okay,” The disgusting man says and stops electrocuting Theo. I quickly run towards Theo to see how he is doing.
“Theo, are you okay,” I say, lifting him off the ground and helping him sit up.
“I will live,” He says hoarsely. He sounds to be in a lot of pain. His eyes are glued to Gordon, and you don’t need to be told to know he is killing him in his head already.
“I see you met my son. He takes after me, doesn’t he,” Walden says, walking into the room. Theo does not say anything and continues to glare at Gordon. I pity him when Theo gets back his strength. Theo will tear him into pieces. “Take them away,” Walden says, and two men appear from behind him.
One drags me away from Theo and out of the cell after removing the chains on my hands. He puts new ones on, and they are silver chains. They hurt like hell. The other one does the same to Theo. I wonder where they are taking us. They drag us in different directions. I think about asking the man where he is pulling me to but decided against it after what just happened the last time I asked.
The man drags me down a dark, smelling corridor. I smell werewolves while passing, and I can tell they are hurt. I wonder how many of us they have here. He throws me into a room filled with women after removing the chains from my hands. I think he just answered my question. I look around the room, and it’s filled with she-wolves. All of them are injured and have blood on their clothes. They look like they have not bathed in days, and they also smell like it. Roughly counting, there should be about 50 of us here. I don’t think Theo knows all these she-wolves are missing. Did their families not report them missing?
I look around the room, and I realize this cell is far different from the other one I was in. this one has another door across. I wonder why. I don’t have to wonder why for long because the door opens, and a she-wolve walks in, in wolf form. She looks like she just came back from a fight and barely won. They are claw marks all over her body, and I think she had a fight with another werewolf, but why. Why would a werewolf fight another werewolf in this situation we are in. if anything, werewolves should come together and try to escape this horrible place.
I come back from my thoughts when I hear my name called from the place the she-wolve came from. I wonder what is there. I slowly walk towards the door. I take a deep breath before I walk out. What I see before my eyes is something beyond my imagination.
I don’t know the best words to describe what I walked into, but I am starting to understand why that she-wolve came back bloody. I see another werewolf across the room, looking barely alive. She is also covered in blood and claw marks. You can tell she fought greatly, and I wonder why. I finally understand once I hear the chanting from above me. I look up and see hundreds of humans cheering and shouting. I didn’t know they were this many humans who hated my kind. The place I am in looks like a fighting arena. The fighters seem to be werewolves and the audience humans. It seems they make werewolves fight against one another for their pleasure. These humans are sicker than I thought.
“Ladies and gentlemen, here live with us tonight is the werewolf king’s Mate and the werewolf king himself,” Someone says from above me.
A cry of pain escapes me as I feel a burn on my back. “Move it, you animal,” Gordon says, whipping me on my back with a silver chain. I didn’t see him when I walked out, and he did not have to hit me to tell me to move.
I walk further into the arena and stop once I reach the middle. I see Theo walking in, and I am about to move towards him when Gordon whips me again.
“Don’t move, you animal,” He says, hitting my back two times. I winched every time the chain touched me and tried my best to not cry.
“Don’t touch her,” Theo growls at Gordon, and he moves forward to rip his head off. He fails as they electrocute him to stop him.
“Theo,” I scream as I watch the horror we just faced happening again.
“I am fine, don’t worry, it didn’t hurt,” I tell him once they stop electrocuting him so he won’t try to break out of his chains again.
“Calm down, werewolf king. You will have all the time tonight to rip heads off,” The same voice from earlier says. He sounds a little familiar. “Bring out the vampires,” He says, and I become as pale as a ghost as his words register in my head.
I thought he would want us to fight against werewolves, not vampires. I didn’t even smell a single one when I walked in. I didn’t even know they hunted vampires. I look at Theo as I try to tell him with my eyes that I am scared. We can’t mind link because of the silver in his system. He uses his eyes to tell me everything is going to be alright. He is right everything is going to be okay. All I have to do is remember his training.
I smell them before I see them. I immediately shift into my wolf to be prepared when they step out. Theo can’t change, so it’s me that has to protect both of us. I hope I can do it. I don’t attack first and wait for the vampire too. The Male runs towards me with his mouth open and fangs ready to dig into my body. I jump in the air and use my paws to hit him as hard as I can. I am able to push him into a wall.
I look at Theo to see if he needs help, but he doesn’t. Even in human form, he can hold a vampire by the throat and squeeze the life out of her. I am watching him kill the female vampire when a wolf cry escapes me as the vampire digs his fangs into my fur. I try to scratch him off with my paws but fail. I start to feel him draw blood out of me, even through my thick fur.
The next thing that happens leaves me in a daze, even as a werewolf myself. Theo throws the vampire he was choking towards, the one sucking the life out of me. Werewolves are strong but to throw another being in human form is not something we can all do. As the female vampire, Theo threw collides with the vampire on my neck and me. I quickly stand up before they can get themselves back on their feet.
“Guys, I think it’s boring watching the werewolf king beat up vampires. What do you guys say about making it more interesting?” Walden says, from above us. It’s now I recognize his voice. He has been the one talking since the beginning.
The crowd cheers loud and chants for him to make it more interesting, stupid humans. “Let’s give the people what they want. Release the rogues,” Walden says, and cages around us open.
Four rogue werewolves who have lost their sanity are released into the arena, ready to draw blood. The first one to attack me does not stand a chance with me. I am not the strongest wolf, but with Theo’s recent harsh training, a rogue is not difficult for me to take down anymore. I put her down, but I don’t kill her. She is just an unlucky wolf who has lost her humanity and does not know what she is doing.
After making sure I did not kill her, I look towards Theo to see how he is handling things, and he seems to need help. He has two rogues attacking him and a vampire who is about to dig his fangs into his neck. I quickly run towards him to help. I use my paws to scratch one of the wolves off him. I fight the rogue as quickly as possible, so I can help Theo with the other two people trying to kill him.
Not more than ten seconds after taking down the second rogue, I am attacked by the vampire from earlier. This time around, I am not going to let him win. I jump on him to push him down, and once he is under me. I use my paws to make sure he stays down before using my teeth to rip his head out of his body. I grin in wolf form as I fling his head to his mate. She screams as she sees her mate’s head drop by her feet. She quickly leaves Theo and runs to attack me. She jumps up high and lands on my body like a bat. I try to wiggle her off my body as she tries to bite me. I realize it will be a little challenging to get her off me, so I fall down backward and try to use my weight to crush her. I am not able to crush her, but I am able to get her off, and with her under me, you know the rest. As I rip her head out of her body, I hear a bell ring.
“You have seen it, folks. The werewolf king and his mate are no ordinary couple. That would be all for tonight. See you tomorrow, people,” Walden says.
It’s over; finally, I don’t think my body could handle killing another soul. I don’t even know how I pushed through the pain in my shoulder and killed four supernaturals. Theo’s training really paid off tonight, and the funny part is this is not what we were even training for.
I walk towards Theo, still in wolf form, because I can’t change back yet. I will be naked in front of everyone if I do. Once I am in front of him, I bend down to his level.
“You did well tonight,” Theo says, rubbing my fur. I close my eyes as I enjoy the feeling of his hands on my fur. This beautiful moment between us is interrupted when Gordon suddenly whips me.
“Change back to human form,” Gordon says.
In the process of whipping me, he hits Theo’s hand on my body and before I realize what I am doing. I growl at Gordon that hurt my mate. I take dangerous steps closer to him. I want him to know the consequences of hurting my mate, but I don’t succeed when I feel something pierce my fur. I look at my right leg, and a syringe is there. I suddenly start feeling dizzy, and darkness takes me away.
