The next morning, Ava was running. She had woken up to an even more vivid dream about a man whose face she really wanted to rip off so she had taken a cold bath, threw on some clothes, left the home, took the clothes off, shifted and started her run.
Liana was content this morning stretching her muscles and limbs over a distance. Ava sucked in the cool morning air and marvelled at the quiet not-quiet environment with the insects moving in the soil and foliage, the birds chirping and the small animals moving and rustling leaves, then over that the sound of running water drew Ava to their very own spring.
Avana leapt into the spring and rolled her fur in the water after wetting her fur so much, she shifted back to her human form and washed her hair. She played in the water for a while. It was still pretty early so no one was out yet so she could enjoy the space alone.
Werewolves weren’t overly conscious about their bodies but Ava had always been super conscious especially when she had been much younger and felt she was plump when compared to a much slender Gabrielle. Several years later and with a confidence boost, she knew she looked good but she still didn’t like to expose her body unnecessarily.
She left the water and walked towards the trees to look for a change of clothes when she heard a rustle from the trees. She froze completely naked as a wolf prowled into the clearing. The wolf shifted and suddenly she was looking at a naked Adrian while being naked herself.
The morning had gotten wild very quickly.
His body was a marvel. He stood unashamed. Why wouldn’t he when he had nothing to be ashamed of? Although Ava had seen him shirtless, seeing him naked was something else entirely and left her breathless for all the right reasons. She stared at his strong thighs up to his…
Ava shook herself mentally. She couldn’t stare at him in that manner, it was Adrian for fuck’s sake. Adrian.
Then she noticed he was also staring at her body. His eyes raked her exposed body shamelessly and she found herself reacting to his stare instead of glaring up at him.
“You shouldn’t be looking at me like that, Adrian.” She finally found her voice fixing her eyes on his eyes, determined to not look below his neck.
“I know.”
But he kept looking at her so intensely that her cheeks burned.
“Then stop.”
“Do you want me to?” Adrian’s voice sounded so arrogant and self-satisfied that Ava found herself wanting to hit him.
“Yes. You are so disgusting, it’s super unattractive.”
Adrian moved closer to Ava and her breath caught, her gaze drifting downwards despite her best efforts.
“You are breathing rather heavily for someone who isn’t attracted to me.”
“In your dreams, Adrian. I just finished a run that’s why my breathing is heavy.”
Adrian laughed. “Weirdly enough, in my dreams, you are always spread wide open for me.”
Just like that the atmosphere grew tense. Ava’s mind travelled to all the dreams she had had. She had thought she was the only one tormented by those dreams. She had forgotten a bond went both ways. She imagined the sort of dreams he would have had and her cheeks grew hot.
“Adrian…”
“Ava…” His gaze dropped to her lips, his green eyes darkening as he took in her breasts.
“Adrian, you need to leave.” Ava’s voice was shaky and breathy.
“You really don’t feel attracted to me?”
Ava closed her eyes. “No. I’m not attracted to you at all.”
“Let’s confirm that, shall we?” Without further ado, Adrian cupped Ava’s face and leaned in as though to kiss her but just inhaled and exhaled her scent at her nape like he was never going to forget how she scented.
His nostrils flared and he growled. His fingers dropped and slipped between her thighs. She let him.
She was wet, warm and inviting when he reached her. Goddess, she was going to make him lose his mind. He couldn’t stop himself as he began to touch her. The sensible voice in the back of his head had gone quiet and all he could hear was Ava’s quiet moans, her gentle panting in the cold morning, her hands sliding across his shoulders bringing them tantalizingly close so their breaths intermingled.
Ava’s breathing increased with intensity as she raced towards an orgasm from her sister’s boyfriend touching her. That train of thought broke her concentration and she pushed Adrian away with all her strength, her body still humming with loss of the orgasm it was denied.
She didn’t bother to say anything, afraid of what she could do to him if he said anything remotely erotic. She would jump his bones. No, Ava would never. It was the mate bond. It would make her jump him. Ava shifted back to her wolf form in spite of complaints from Liana who had obviously wanted all that to continue. Then Ava ran.
She ran away from Adrian but at that moment she was trying to run away from herself as well. Run away from the Ava who hated Adrian but had no problem letting him finger her in the woods. She reached her home. She shifted and grabbed some change of clothes. Then she headed upstairs to her bathroom to cry while taking a shower.
She cried until it felt like she had wrung herself dry. She cried because it felt like ever since her 18th birthday things had changed and she wasn’t sure if anything would remain the same again. She cried because she had betrayed Gabrielle. If Gabrielle could have seen her, she had zero doubts that her sister would never speak to her again.
