Chapter 55 I’m Stupid

Book:Indulged In Love Published:2024-5-1

Nervous and excited, Nora recognized him. When Kingsley asked her what she wanted as compensation, it took her three minutes to say she didn’t want money.
Actually, he was what she wanted.
In the end, Kingsley believed she was greedy and vain.
In fact, she didn’t wish that, but Kingsley promised her. Then he took her to meet her mother, Anna and asked her how she was. However, Anna liked her very much. So, they were married.
From then on, she became Mrs. Baxter in law, but a few people knew.
When it came to their past, Nora took a deep breath, “It’s a long time ago.”
As to their marriage, she was reluctant to say that because it was too complicated.
Kingsley looked at the jagged mountains in the distance, “Mr. Hodge, I would win the bid to develop the Riverside.”
He had never been threatened by others, so hearing the term Orson proposed, he just smiled and didn’t take it seriously.
Turning around, Kingsley put his hand on Orson’s shoulder, and said in a lower voice, “I’m very stingy. No one can’t get my money. As for my girl, just stay away from her!”
Then he straightened up, smiling, “I’m gonna teach my wife how to play golf. Mr. Hodge, help yourself!”
Kingsley came over to her, when Nora took another drink and removed her sunglasses.
He walked to Nora and offered his hand, “Come on, let’s play golf.”
Nora gave him her hand, “But I don’t how to play.”
Kingsley clung to her hand, and helped her stand up, laughing, “I’ll teach you.”
Nora felt a little shy, and lowered her voice, “I’m so stupid.”
She used to play golf with Karina, but it seemed that she wasn’t very athletic. When she’d grown, the only sport Nora liked was brainless running.
“It’s all right. I’m your best teacher.”
Nora was silent.
Kingsley was very confident, and he had always been. So, he looked very energetic and reliable, except for his quirky temper. Nora still admired him sometimes.
He took her hand in hand to the center of lawn and whispered, “Find the center line of golf club, and then cling to club with the line against your right hand.” Kingsley gently embraced her from behind, held her swinging hand, and guided her carefully and patiently.
“Go.” Kingsley said.
He was so kind and she could smell his mint breath. Nora began to feel her heartbeat quickened. She blushed for the hot weather or something else.
She took a deep breath, aimed, raised, and swung.
The golf was still there.
Kingsley sighed with his hand on the forehead. Dis she check the golf before swinging?
Nora blushed again due to the still golf, “I’m sorry!”
Kingsley laughed it off, “One more time.”
“Bang”, the golf flew five meters away. Nora was a little cheered for she finally hit it out. But when she immediately calmed down when she looked at Kingsley was half laughing.
Calm down, calm down. Perhaps he was laughing at me, Nora thought.
Kingsley got a good patience, and taught her over and over again.
Nora was so nervous. Shen could play pretty well after over half an hour. Kingsley gave her a bottle of water without a cap, “Drink some water.”
“Thank you!” Nora took a sip.
Her cheeks were burning red with fair skin.
She looked refined, exquisite and elegant.
Nora had no idea that she could attract any man.
She was like a beautiful but unpolished jade.
Kingsley looked at her pink face and asked, “Are you tired?”
Nora shook her head, “I’m good.”
Kingsley gently touched her face, “Come on, let me know how thing are going on.”
Nora put aside the bottle of water, straightened up, and swung. When she saw the golf in hole, she turned around and shouted: “It’s in!”
Kingsley looked at her and smiled.
It was the first time for him to smile like that, neither indifferently nor sneeringly. His smile made her feel the warm breeze kissed her face in March.
Nora couldn’t help but looked at him. He had a pretty smile!
Looking up at him, she asked, “Do I have great talent?”
Kingsley whispered, “Yeah, you do. But you have the best coach!”
It was the middle of the day.
Nora blushed a little more, and she hurriedly turned her face away from him.
After that, Nora took a shower in the locker room. When she came out and found Kingsley was waiting for her. Kingsley frowned, “What’s taking so long?”
Nora murmured, “I need to shampoo, dry my hair and put on moisturizing essence. Of course, it kills time.”
Kingsley had nothing to say, and asked, “What would you like to eat?”
Nora blinked, “Are you asking me?”
Kingsley looked around and asked in confusion, “Is anybody here?”
“Well… Can I enjoy anything I want?”
“Of course!”
“Well…” Nora said gingerly, “How about hot pot. OK?”
Kingsley was stunned for a while, but agreed with her right away, “Sure, where do you want to go? I’ll drive by.”
Nora was so happy, but pretended to be reserved, “Yeah, sure. I will take you there!”
When putting on the seatbelt in the passenger seat, Nora also said, “You should tell me if you can’t eat something spicy, or you will burst into tears because of the spicy food.”
Bursting into tears because of the spicy food?
Kingsley pictured that and found it was kind of fun.
He held both hands on the wheel. “Don’t worry. I bet it will be you.”
“No!”
“Well, you’ll see!”
Nora thought that she wouldn’t cry for the spicy hot pot. She felt very excited and relaxed.
It would be great if the way they communicated was easy and light.
His car phone rang when she rejoiced alone.
Putting on his earphones, Kingsley replied.
Nora didn’t know about what they were talking, but Kingsley frowned. It seemed that something happened.
Nora still looked forward and didn’t want to stare at him, when Kingsley hung up his phone.
Kingsley was silent for a while and then said, “Nora.”
