Gabriele’s POV
Arianna had ways of just bringing up demands without giving as much as a warning. We were headed home from the hospital and suddenly she blurted out a new demand.
“Babe I know you are concerned about me and I won’t even argue if you say you want to assign me with guards and security and everything… But I can’t stay indoors all the time again, please. I need to be out and receive fresh air…” She insisted before I could respond.
I wasn’t comfortable with this idea of hers. I would readily give her the entire world if I could but her safety was out of the question. I couldn’t jeopardize that.
“Arianna, my love,” I cajoled as I brushed my fingers along her chin.
“It isn’t safe out there…”
“But Gabriel you are no longer doing mafia stuff, why isn’t it safe?” She argued.
She had a point there. My casinos and other businesses I have decided to focus on were very much legal but I still had a problem with Gianni. What if he decided to harm her?
“Arianna, I will find a way for you to work and we will make sure you are safe. Okay? But for now, let’s just focus on your health. Please,” I pleaded with her.
I didn’t want to argue it out with her right now. She just left the hospital. It wasn’t the right time to even talk about it.
She nodded, accepting my offer and I pulled her into my chest.
“I promise to always make you happy Arianna… I promise,” I whispered and I meant it.
She was the light that came into my life and brightened up all the dark spots. She raised me from the pits of pain and suffering of the heart.
I thought love was a curse -only ever given to people to break them apart when the love left, but she came and changed that.
She thought me a different side to love. I was a better man knowing that I had her by my side.
I could never put her in harm’s way or do anything that saddened her. If she wanted to work, I would have to find one of my close businesses that had very few risks involved.
This way, she would be happy and I would be satisfied that she was safe enough.
The vehicle we were in stopped and I looked out the window to see that we had gotten home.
I only ever came to this place when my mum and sister were alive. I thought there was nothing worth staying here for but finding love, I realized there was more to sharing serenity with the right people.
“Waoh! It’s so beautiful!” Arianna whispered as she looked out of the window.
My home in the suburbs was like a mini resort. It had everything required. From the large swimming pool to the beautiful gardens at the back that blended with the environment like it was natural.
It was peaceful enough to provide her with an environment that enhanced her quick recovery for her.
I stepped out of the vehicle and reached out for her hand. Together we walked in. Arianna’s smile was a precious gift to my heart.
As she admired the interior, I couldn’t help but smile as well.
It was a large five-bedroom house with an even larger kitchen and two living rooms.
“Gabriele! There is a freaking cinema house in here!” She yelled as she found the room just beside the game room.
I leaned on the wall and folded my arms across my chest. It brought me peace to see her so excited about the whole place.
I made a promise to myself to never make her cry or give her a reason not to smile anymore.
“And the chairs are so soft! Oh, God!” She cried out as she tested the seats.
I never truly appreciated the house since I barely ever came here after the incident with my family.
“We are going to start having movie nights every Friday now!” She exclaimed running to me.
I held her waist and kissed her lips.
“Anything you want my love…” I whispered and she giggled against my lips.
“Thank you so much!” She screamed wrapping her arms around my neck.
“Agostino had told me about this place and I thought I would have to threaten you before you brought me here but look! I didn’t have to do anything at all!” She added and I chuckled at her excitement.
“Aren’t you tired Arianna… You need to rest,” I said with concern. She was so excited about the house, she had completely forgotten about her health.
“I am not tired but…” She drawled staring at me with dazzling eyeballs. “I really can’t wait to see what the room looks like!”
“Come with me,” I said offering her my hands.
She placed hers into mine without hesitation and I walked her to the master bedroom far down the corridor.
The room was as large as four standard living rooms. If it were in the United Kingdom, one could easily convert it into six sleeping spaces with enough space for wardrobes.
“Oh, My God!” She yelled as she walked into the room.
Her eyes were dazed with tears of awe.
She moved to the large circular bed and tested the strength under her fingers.
“They could put twenty-five of me on this bed! Fuck Gabriele this is amazing!”
Watching her sitting right there on the bed with her hands spread across it, made my cock twitch and as she spoke, all I thought of was what it would feel like to have sex with her on that same bed.
My legs started moving toward her but before I could get any closer, she got up and moved to the glass walls that surrounded the other half of the room.
She leaned against the glass wall as she searched for the lock.
“I know it’s here somewhere… How else can you access those chairs out there?” She mused as she felt around the wall.
She was right. There was a hidden glass button buried somewhere in the wall but I refused to point it out to her as I yet again imagined myself pressing into her as she leaned on the glass wall for support.
My cock twitched again, this time even licking a few drops of juices.
Her ass was round and perfect as she arched it backward. If I didn’t know Arianna, I would have said she was teasing me but I knew her. She was clueless about the things she stirred up within me.
“Found it!” She cried out as the door opened slowly welcoming the fresh evening air into the room.
She spread her arms around her and skidded out.
“This is so amazing!” She exclaimed as she stood on the small porch enjoying the blend of nature and artificial architecture.
I wasn’t interested in all of that. I was only interested in her.
I started moving towards her once again, as her sexy body, pulled me closer and closer.
I was at arm’s length when a knock broke through the room and I held back once again.
“We’ve brought her clothes and food is ready boss…” A muffled voice said from outside.
Since I was closer to the room, I returned in and unlocked the door.
“Good evening sir,” Niko said with a bow.
“Hello sir,” Sofia echoed behind him.
A grin spread on my face as I knew Arianna was going to skin them alive for never visiting her in the hospital.
“Come in,” I told them.
With heads still facing down, they streamed into the room and I watched as Sofia slowly walked to the side table and placed the bags she was carrying on it.
Niko also stepped forward and placed a tray, which I presumed contained food.
“Sofia! Niko!” Arianna sneered as she turned and found them in the room.
She came into the room and rushed at them.
“Sofie, I thought you were my friend! Why didn’t you ever visit and now you come when they discharge me? I thought our relationship was more than just work-related!” Arianna blurted out.
I could see the pain in her eyes and I didn’t like it. My heart became restless for I never wanted to see her troubled for anything.
Sofie lowered herself to the ground and held on to Arianna’s dress.
“I am sorry Arianna. I didn’t come because… I felt so ashamed… I should have been the one to call the fire service and scream at you to run but…”
A single tear fell from her eyes and I watched as Arianna’s pain subsided.
“I didn’t even call unto you. I feel so ashamed to even stand before you… Arianna, you could have died and I failed to save you. I failed to tell the men to go back up and get you!”
“We are sorry Arianna, we are not worthy to be called your friends anymore…” Niko whispered.
Arianna walked closer to Sofia and pulled her up. “How can you blame yourself for not calling out to me? Sofia it was an emergency incident. Normally, you thought about your safety first!” She turned her gaze to Niko and held his shoulder. “I can never hate you for that, never!”
