Chapter 22: Caught in the act

Book:Enslaved To The Ruthless Mafia Published:2024-6-2

Gabriele’s POV
As I stepped into my office, it looked strange. I couldn’t put a finger on it but I could feel something wasn’t right.
Then my eyes fell on the light bulb and I turned my narrowed eyes to Basilio.
“How many times do I need to tell you to switch off the lights when you come into my office?”
Basilio opened his mouth to speak but then stopped and a frown morphed on his face.
“You switched it off before you left?” He asked me.
I rolled my eyes and walked to my chair. “If I did, would I be asking you about it?” I scoffed.
As I sat down, I noticed one of the drawers with my guns was slightly open.
Then the feeling I felt when I stepped in returned. Someone has been here and it wasn’t Basilio.
Basilio wouldn’t touch my guns.
“Someone was here!” I said as I went through the content of the drawers to see what they must have taken.
Basilio’s frown deepened as he looked through the office.
“I think whoever came here didn’t come for guns,” he whispered.
I raised my head and saw what he was looking at.
It was a safe where I kept most of my business files. Every deal I did in the mafia and my actual legal business was stored in there and it looked like someone had tampered with it.
The door wasn’t closed properly and a file of stinking out.
“Shit!” I cursed as we both rushed to it.
As Basilio pulled the door open, a pile of files collapsed to the floor and we didn’t need to be told that whoever came here was trying to sell me out.
Why else would they come into my office and go through my work files?
“Call the freaking guards! I need the security footage right now!” I roared at Basilio.
There was no way I could tell what exact file was missing or if they even took it with them to start with. They could have taken pictures of all my files!
“Of course!” He said.
Basilio ran out of the office and I started pacing as I waited for his return. Then something clicked in my head.
Demyan might have been a distraction for whoever came here to do what they wanted. I thought as I tried to figure out all that had happened.
My uncle couldn’t have possibly thought I cared about Arianna. That was too much of a guess for him to do.
Besides, I didn’t care about her! It must have been a diversion.
Her kidnap must have been a diversion.
A creaking sound came from behind me and I turned sharply with a gun ready in my hands.
The sound came from the empty shelves on the wall. I usually kept my stack of rare wine in there and at the moment there wasn’t anything there that could have caused a creak except someone was in there.
“Come out now!” I ordered.
I cocked my gun and took a deep breath. As much as I wanted to torture and question who had dared break into my office to incriminate me, I wouldn’t hesitate to empty the fucking barrel on them.
“If you don’t step out at the count of three, I will shoot,” I said as I started taking slow calculated steps to the shelves.
“One…”
The creak came again and the door opened to reveal…
“Arianna?!” I wondered aloud in surprise.
She had her hands in the air and my eyes squeezed shut.
“Please don’t shoot me!” She cried out.
Her hair was glued to her head by her sweat and her hands trembled slightly as she waited for my next move.
I observed her quietly for a few seconds. I could let it pass but not at this point. Anyone could be a threat.
If Sara could be bought, how much more a woman who wanted by all means to leave me?
“What are you doing here Arianna?” I growled.
I dropped the gun on the table and moved toward her.
She peered her eyes open and dropped her hands when she saw that I didn’t have the gun with me anymore.
“Ermmm… I was-” she started to say and I picked up the gun again.
I wasn’t going to shoot her. I just needed her to speak up before I resulted in torture.
“I didn’t come here to steal anything!” She yelled when she saw that I had picked up the gun again.
“What then did you come here to do if you were innocent you wouldn’t have locked yourself up on my shelves!?”
“You are not going to shoot me,” She said glaring at me.
This woman was just impossible.
I could never predict her moves. One moment she was scared and shaking. The next she was defiantly responding to my questions.
“I will be leaving now,” She dared to say and started walking past me to the door.
What audacity?
Yes, I couldn’t shoot her. That would be too much of a waste. But I could torture her in so many ways she would have wished I had killed her.
“Ahhh!” She screamed as I grabbed her roughly by the arm and pulled her towards me.
“Where do you think you are going?” I growled into her ear.
“Gabriele you are hurting me!” She retorted, trying to pull herself away.
I dropped the gun and used my free hand to cage two of her hands behind her. Her torso was glued to mine and I felt my cock twitch at the softness that pushed against me.
“Let me go!” She yelled.
“I will advise you to stop yelling nonsense and tell me what you came to find in my office!” I growled.
She stopped fighting and stared into my eyes. For a second I thought she would give in.
But her chest rose faster as her stubbornness only increased.
“Fuck you!” She spat back.
I narrowed my eyes at her foul word and squeezed her hands tight. She was daring me because she thought I wouldn’t hurt her. But she was wrong.
I watched her. I waited for her to scream for mercy as I painfully forced her hands closer than natural. Yet she fought back the cries.
Her eyes reddened but she bit down her bottom lip and stared hard into my eyes.
My eyes fell to her lips and there was only one thing on my mind.
Without a second thought, I crashed my lips against hers and violently sucked on them. Surprisingly, she kissed me back.
Our harsh breathing filled the air as neither of us wanted to let go. Kissing her was therapy for my angered soul yet I couldn’t let go.
“Fratello, I have-” Basilio’s voice suddenly filled the room and Arianna pulled her lips away from mine.
“I have found the criminal,” I said, still glaring at her.
How could one person be so beautifully alluring, yet so stubborn?
“Yeah, I was just about to say that…” Basilio trailed from behind me.
An awkward silence filled the room, with me still gripping Arianna’s hands and Basilio boring his confused eyes into my back.
“I’ll be outside,” He suddenly said.
“Whatever you hear, do not let anyone in here,” I told him as I heard his feet move on the floor.
I recognized the fear flash in her eyes but it was gone before I could focus on it for too long.
“Er- of course,” Basilio said with hesitation.
As the door closed behind me, I released her hands.
“You do not scare me,” she said, rubbing her hands together. “I am going to leave here and there is nothing you can do to stop me!” She hissed.
My anger returned at her rudeness. She didn’t know what I was capable of. I could kill her right now and no one would question me.
But I couldn’t.
There was something about her that made her exquisite. It wasn’t just about the sex.
It was much more, but I still couldn’t let her get away with her rude behavior.
I started pulling off the buttons of my shirt slowly as I watched her and she blinked her eyes in surprise.
“What are you doing?” She squeaked.
“Showing you that there are a million things I can do to you that you have no control over.”
I took off my shirt and threw it to the side. Then I pulled out my belt and chunked it as well.
The sound made her jump and I started coming at her.
She took unconscious steps back and I smirked. We would just have to see how fearless she could be.
I took off my pants and I was left with my brief and a very intimating cock waiting for the action to start.
“Gabriele, you promised -not to touch me,” she stuttered as she continued moving back.
“Why do you think I asked Basilio to stay out there?”
