Ben wanted to take Jennifer and Stella out for a drink after the movie, but Jennifer politely declined and asked him to drop her off at home first. She was still feeling guilty about what had happened with Daniel, and each time she thought about how she had been acting, a slow flush ran up her cheeks. she never acted like that. Stella was the one who slept around. Before this date, she had only slept with three other guys, one of them being Mr. Harrison. And suddenly, in one day, her total was up to five.
Stella walked her to the door when Ben pulled up to her house, giving her a hug when they were around the corner of the garage and out of his sightline. “You really should come for a drink with us,” Stella said to Jennifer.
Jennifer shook her head. “He’s still your date,” she said with as much of a smile as she could. “And I really just want to be home. I can’t believe…” she stopped in mid-sentence, shaking her head.
“It’s okay, I keep telling you!” Stella exclaiherd. Jennifer sighed, knowing that stella didn’t understand that really, it wasn’t. “Come on,” she said softly, wrapping her arms around her and pulling her close to her. “Is this about Mr. Harrison?”
“What?” Jennifer asked, frowning as she hugged her.
She giggled. “Well, don’t tell me you feel like you’ve cheated on him or something. I mean, he had to be okay with you messing around, he let you go on the date.”
Stella’s words nearly made Jennifer’s heart stop beating. She had never even brought up the fact that she and Daniel had fooled around, nor had she considered that Mr. Harrison wouldn’t necessarily be okay with it. In fact, now that Stella had put the thought in her head, she had a feeling that he wouldn’t be okay with it.
She was furiously trying to stop the little voice that was telling her what she had with Mr. Harrison was something more, but the pangs of guilt that were running through her body were making her efforts a lot more difficult. All she could think was that she had probably completely messed up the wonderful thing Mr. Harrison and she had. She bit her lip as she frantically tried to figure out how exactly she was going to tell him, what she could say to make him forgive her for royally screwing up.
“Jennifer?” Stella asked when she didn’t respond. She pulled her away from her, keeping her hands on her shoulders, and looked at her. “Are you okay?” Jennifer didn’t say anything, but her face must have told Stella everything she needed, because she immediately let go of her shoulders. “Don’t tell me… he doesn’t know?” Jennifer shook her head. Stella didn’t say anything for a moment, just studying her. “Jennifer, are things getting a little more…”
“Don’t say it,” Jennifer finally said, her voice high and rushed.
“It’s about more than just sex.” Stella stated, not paying one bit of attention to what Jennifer had said.
Tears sprang up in her eyes and Stella pulled her close to her again. “What is wrong with me?” Jennifer gasped. “It’s only been a couple days, and he’s like… like my dad’s age… I think I’m just overanalyzing things but…”
“There’s nothing wrong with you,” Stella said. “Christ, there are way weirder things out there. But… just don’t rush into things. Just because it’s more than just fucking doesn’t mean you have to like, marry him or something. You can be friends, too.”
Jennifer took a moment to digest what Stella said, and mentally kicked herself for being so ridiculous. She had known Mr. Harrison for years, and he was a good friend of the family, so it was no surprise that after spending a few days together (fucking or not) that she cared about him. Like Stella said — they were friends. Just friends that happened to have an age gap of over 20 years between them and that also happened to have wonderfully hot sex. she almost laughed when she realized how messed up that sounded, and did giggle softly when she realised that Stella was right in saying that weirder things had happened. She took her soft laughter as acceptance of what she said and hugged her tightly. “Don’t worry,” she said. She still was — after all, she didn’t want to lose anything she had with Mr. Harrison — but she did feel a little bit better about whatever feelings she was having.
It still took Stella a little while to convince her to actually go into the house, but eventually she gave her a final hug and walked up the front steps. She waited until Stella had gotten back into the car and Ben had honked the horn to slowly let herself inside.
It was quiet when she entered the house. she figured Mr. Harrison was sitting outside on the back patio, as the sun was just starting to set and it was still fairly warm out. Her heart was pounding as she slipped off her high-heeled sandals and put her purse on the front table. She couldn’t believe how nervous she was. It wasn’t that she was scared that Mr. Harrison would do something to her. In fact, she would be grateful if she could just get away with a spanking — they both enjoyed that. But she had a feeling that a spanking wasn’t going to solve this.
She walked through the kitchen, her bare feet silent on the cool tile. Just as she thought, Mr. Harrison was sitting on the patio, reading a book with a beer on the table next to him. She had to stop and admire him for a moment as he took a casual sip before turning the page of his book. She had such a strong attraction to him that it seemed ridiculous to her that she was denying it. she was feeling so many things at once that her head was nearly spinning as she walked toward the man sitting on her patio.
Mr. Harrison jumped when she opened the patio door. “You’re back already?” he asked, putting his book down as he stood up. “It’s not even 9 yet.”
She laughed weakly as he wrapped his arms around her and kissed her on the cheek. “What’s wrong?” he asked, looking at her.
“I don’t think you want to know,” she whispered, looking away.
He dropped his arms from around her. “Did something happen?” he asked. “Did that guy do something to you?” she shook her head and he sighed. “You fucked him.” she didn’t answer, and Mr. Harrison took that as a yes. He sighed again and sat back down, taking a sip of the beer on the table. “Well, I guess I should have expected that… I can’t lie and say I’m not a little upset but it’s not like we ever talked about it…”
“It’s not just that,” she whispered. she could feel tears springing up in her eyes. Mr. Harrison had guessed the logical thing, and he was being reasonable about it, but she still had to tell him about Ben.
“No?” asked Mr. Harrison. she shook her head, trying to figure out how to tell him. she was terrified, and Mr. Harrison must have gotten that, because he stood up and pulled a chair out, making her sit in it. “Tell me, Jennifer,” he said softly as he sat across from her. she opened her mouth, but no words came out. Mr. Harrison took one of her hands, grasping it lightly. “Whatever it is, you have to tell me. You fucked the guy and…?”
“And…” she whispered, looking down at her bare feet. she took a deep breath. “And his friend,” she said, so softly that she might not have said it at all except for the fact that Mr. Harrison dropped her hand and sat back.
“Stella’s date?” he asked. she nodded. “She didn’t mind, I’m sure.” She shook her head. Mr. Harrison took a breath, and was silent for so long that she finally had to look up at him. He was staring at her with a look on his face that made her want to do anything she could to make it up to him.
“Mr. Harrison, I’m really sorry…” she started, her voice cracking a bit.
“Did they cum in your pussy?” he interrupted. Her mouth dropped open and she stopped talking. “Well, did they?”
“Why does that matter?” she asked quietly. The tears that had sprung up were close to falling over, especially from his last question.
“Did they?” he asked again, still looking at her with that hurt expression.
she tried to explain it, tell him what had happened, but she couldn’t seem to say anything more than a quiet “Yes.” Mr. Harrison looked away from her and stood up, moving past her to the patio door.
“I’m glad you had fun,” he said stiffly.
“I didn’t!” she exclaiherd, standing and turning to follow him. “Mr. Harrison, wait…”
He didn’t wait, just walked through the house and to the front door. She stood on the patio and listened as he slammed the front door, got into his car, and drove away.
It didn’t really seem real. She felt like she had stepped outside of herself and was watching some crappy, melodramatic movie that she and Stella would be making fun of. And really, the situation seemed ridiculous. Maybe if Jennifer and Mr. Harrison had been together more than two days, it would be a little more realistic for him to get offended by her actions. She started to get angry as she thought about that. Who was he to get mad at what she did? they were just… friends, She guess. He had no right to be mad at her. He didn’t own her.
