Chapter 40

Book:Romance With The CEO Published:2024-6-2

Velia ran. She hurried when the clock struck seven, but she could not anticipate the unexpected traffic jam that made her late to the apartment.
The elevator seemed to move slower than usual. Velia panicked, with all the worst possibilities spinning in her mind.
Is Lucas looking for me?
Velia checked her phone. Strangely, there were no messages or calls from Lucas. Not like before when he would always inquire about her whereabouts.
Her anxiety escalated. Velia could not calm down and immediately rushed out when the elevator door opened.
With trembling hands, Velia entered the password. She quickly entered and spontaneously called out Lucas’ name.
“Luc?”
There was no response for Velia to hear. She rushed to the workspace, but it was empty. There were no signs of Lucas being there.
Now Velia headed to the bedroom, but it was the same. The room was silent.
“Lucas hasn’t come home yet?”
The oddity followed Velia. As she placed her bag and shoes in their respective places, an uneasy feeling settled. Even after taking a shower, her restlessness increased. Lucas still had not contacted her.
“Where is he now? It’s unlike him. He hasn’t come home until this time without a single word.”
*
Like a butler of a medieval English servant, Andreas poured vodka into Lucas’ small glass with utmost politeness. He was so careful that not a drop of the drink touched the glass walls.
Andreas smiled with satisfaction. For him, alcohol and women were two things that deserved a perfect touch.
Suddenly, Lucas snatched the glass and quickly downed its contents. Andreas’s pride instantly vanished, replaced by natural shock and anger.
Apparently, Lucas could not appreciate the drink like Andreas could. Honestly, it unsettled Andreas’ feelings.
However, there was something else that bothered Andreas more than Lucas’ poor way of enjoying the drink. Something that made a mischievous sparkle appear in Andreas’ eyes.
“Wait,” Andreas held back as Lucas handed him his empty glass again. “I feel like I’ve been thrown back in time.”
Lucas blinked. “What did you say? Thrown back in time?”
“I remember the last time I saw you like this was when you found out Velia had left. Her house in Crestdale was empty when you were on your first business trip. You felt betrayed and used the success of that tender as an excuse to drown your sorrows.”
Lucas was taken aback. It seemed that now, not only Andreas was thrown back in time but himself as well.
Andreas swiveled his chair. His position changed, and his eyes briefly met a group of women across the room.
A mischievous grin appeared on Andreas’ face. He winked, and in response, he received a wave of their hands.
“Is that happening again now?” Andreas asked, returning to the topic. “Tell me. Did Velia run away again?”
Lucas took a deep breath, causing his shoulders to dramatically rise. He twirled the empty glass with a vacant stare.
“Velia didn’t run away. Besides, now she won’t be able to escape from me again.”
“So, what’s the problem then?” Andreas pressed, curious. “You’re not the party type who likes to have fun like this. We’re different, so it’s strange for you to drag me to a club. Especially on a workday.”
The mischievous sparkle in Andreas’ eyes disappeared. Now he saw Lucas with utmost seriousness.
“What’s really going on?”
Andreas waited. Unfortunately, all he received was a shake of Lucas’ head. Unintentionally, it made Andreas shake his head as well.
Giving up, Andreas decided to tempt the woman again. He lifted his glass, and across the room, the woman did the same.
“Reas.”
Andreas had to postpone his intention to take a sip. “What?”
“Tell me, what can make a woman willingly stay with us?”
The glass landed on the bar table. Andreas stared blankly, as if needing time to digest Lucas’ question. Then he chuckled.
“You know, Luc? Everywhere, it’s always the women who think about how to make us, men, stay with them. Not the other way around.”
It was not the answer Lucas had hoped for. He growled and grabbed the vodka bottle. Without hesitation, he drank directly from the bottle.
“Damn it!”
Andreas snatched the vodka bottle from Lucas’ hand. He moved it out of Lucas’ reach, glaring at him.
“That’s not how you enjoy a drink!”
Lucas ignored Andreas’ exclamation. Also, the drops of vodca in his mouth.
Andreas sighed. It seemed he could not joke now. Lucas was displaying an unusual behavior. His usual composure and calmness, which were always his defining traits, were nowhere to be seen.
“Listen, as far as I know, women will stay with a man if all their needs are met.”
Lucas glanced at him. Andreas continued speaking.
“You know what I mean, Luc. No woman rejects it when a man provides everything for her. Money, jewelry, a house, a car, and of course, cosmetics. All women like that.”
Lucas pondered Andreas’ words, but he felt somewhat unsure.
Andreas could sense the hesitation in Lucas’ eyes. His answer did not fully resolve the question.
“Besides, there’s one crucial thing that can make a woman stay with us, even if we’re jerks.”
Lucas furrowed his brow in curiosity. “What is it?”
Andreas sighed deeply. He glanced at Lucas meaningfully, and a grin appeared on his face, indicating a different impression.
“You don’t know?” Andreas replied without waiting for Lucas’ response. “Children.”
Lucas was stunned. He contemplated Andreas’ answer.
“It can be said that almost all women in the world can’t go far from a man when she thinks about their child. You’ve seen the news, right? A wife chooses to stay even when she’s cheated on or abused for one reason. She doesn’t want to see her child grow up without a father.”
Andreas scoffed at his own words. He seemed perplexed as his logic immediately responded to the situation.
“Isn’t that stupid? I mean, what can be expected from a father like that? He couldn’t even educate himself. So how can he educate his son? Isn’t that true? Or… is the wife hoping that their children will imitate the father’s behavior?”
Lucas ignored the satire in Andreas’ statement. He was done with the conversation.
“Okay,” Lucas suddenly said. “I’m going home now.”
All the satirical thoughts in Andreas’ head vanished. It was replaced by an overwhelming surprise.
“What did you say? You’re going home now? You invited me to the club at nine, and now you’re leaving at half past nine?”
Lucas stood up and patted Andreas on the shoulder. “I’ll go first.”
“Wow!”
Andreas was so shocked that he could not find words. Lucas really left him alone.
“You’re crazy, Luc!”
*
Velia could not sleep. Despite lying down for an hour and attempting to close her eyes, sleep eluded her.
Why hasn’t he come home by now? Did he go back to his own house?
That possibility could be true, but it was strange that Lucas had not given any updates. Consequently, it wa not surprising that negative thoughts circled in her mind.
Velia could not endure her restlessness. She got out of bed and grabbed her robe. She left the room and heard a familiar voice.
“Luc?”
Velia ran towards the door. She arrived just as Lucas was closing it.
Lucas looked disheveled. He appeared tired and sweaty.
“Oh, God. Luc!”
Velia rushed forward and hugged Lucas. At that moment, a strange scent assaulted her senses, the smell of alcohol.
“Ve.”
Velia pulled away. She stared at Lucas with clouded eyes. Her fear had dissipated, but it did not mean that her anxiety had been appeased.
“Y-you came home late. You didn’t contact me. I thought something bad had happened to you.”
Lucas looked at Velia expressionlessly. “Something bad?”
“I thought something bad happened to you, Luc,” Velia trembled as she spoke. “You should have called me.”
Her heartbeat raced. Her voice trembled. Coldness spread across her skin. Even her lips turned pale. Velia’s fear was clearly not something trivial. And Lucas could sense it.
“I’m sorry.”
The gaze in Lucas’ eyes came back to life. He cupped Velia’s face and spoke again.
“Andreas invited me out, and I forgot to call you.”
“Andreas?”
“Yes,” Lucas nodded. “You still remember him, right?”
“I do.”
“So, he met me at the office and asked me out. I’m really sorry for forgetting to inform you.”
A small lie in Lucas’ words would not diminish the truth of his regret. Softly, his thumb moved to caress Velia’s cheek.
“I’m sorry.”
Velia blinked in confusion. “I-it’s okay, Luc. It doesn’t matter if you go or maybe don’t come back here. I just…”
There was a struggle in Velia’s eyes. Two sides warring against each other. She appeared tormented as she tried to be honest.
“… worried.”
The caress of Lucas’ thumb stopped. Velia’s gaze dropped. She looked down and hid her face from Lucas’ gaze.
Velia closed her eyes. She took a long breath and could not do anything else. The anxiety was so tormenting that Velia believed honesty was the answer.
“I know. You worry about me.”
Velia bit her lower lip and tried to calm herself. “Oh, right. Are you hungry? Do you want something to eat?”
“No,” Lucas declined. “I just want you.”
Lucas’ answer brought confusion to Velia. However, Lucas’ kiss came first, dissipating the questions she was about to ask.
Velia closed her eyes. Her hands gripped Lucas’ waist and pulled him closer. She erased the nonexistent distance and made it impossible to exist.
Velia’s face lifted. She welcomed Lucas’ kiss with parted lips. She allowed Lucas to enter and gave him an unexpected sensation.
It felt strange. Foreign. Velia had never tasted that sensation before.
But it did not mean Velia disliked it. On the contrary, her curiosity arose, making her want to savor it.
Velia’s hands released Lucas’ waist. Slowly, they crawled and continued upwards. They slithered across Lucas’ chest, finally reaching his neck.
Velia embraced. And faintly, she ventured as her curiosity led her to open her mouth wide and move towards Lucas. Like a lost soul in a desert, she tried to find the oasis she needed.
One drop. Two drops. Three drops.
Velia needed more than that to quench the thirst that parched her throat. She wanted to drink in more relief than could be obtained.
Velia’s desire jolted Lucas. He responded with the most favored attitude by men. The same intense passion burned within him.
Lucas did not see anything better than giving Velia what she wanted. What he truly wanted to give her. Since they locked eyes earlier, a spark had ignited within his chest. It grew in an instant.
Lucas’s lips enticed with an unwavering temptation. He knew exactly how to make Velia surrender.
From nibbles to exchanging kisses, intertwined with bites, Lucas gave it all. Velia moaned femininely. Her primitive instincts ignited with every touch Lucas bestowed upon her, provoking a rapid response.
It was not just Lucas who could indulge in such a manner. Velia was equally seductive and skilled. The rhythm was gentle yet urgent, the pace slow yet fervent. Velia skillfully combined the grace of a woman’s touch with pure passion.
The result? It goes without saying. Lucas became breathless, grasping for air from Velia’s lips.
Velia’s embrace turned into a firm grip on Lucas’s hair. She writhed in pleasure, reciprocating his actions.
Velia stole Lucas’s breath, and they competed, not wanting to lose in this game of temptation.
There was no winner or loser. In the end, they both writhed together as their heated kiss reluctantly took a pause.
Velia sighed, moving like a dancer in a rain of melodies when Lucas caressed her neck. She tilted her head high, moaning softly as the warmth met her.
In the form of kisses. In the form of licks. In the form of all the mischief Velia enjoyed.
“Luc.”
The heat spread, enveloping Velia’s entire body. She yearned for fresh air and a cool breeze, and Lucas provided just that.
Lucas’s fingers roughly tugged at Velia’s robe and nightgown. In one swift motion, the insignificant clothing hung from one arm.
Velia freed her hand from the clothing trap. Half-naked, that was the freedom she desired now. And Lucas too.
Lucas’s attention immediately focused on Velia’s breasts. He devoured them hungrily, causing Velia’s moans to grow louder.
Velia was tormented by his seduction. She could no longer resist. She raised one leg, gripping Lucas’s waist.
Lucas’s growl rebelled against the invitation Velia extended. He pressed and pushed Velia to lean against the wall.
Velia was trapped. Between the cold wall and the heat of Lucas. Along with the ten fingers that roamed her body.
“Luc.”
Velia’s head landed on the wall. She held onto it as she reveled in every touch she received.
On her breasts. On her buttocks. Across her skin.
On her breasts, Lucas made sure not to forget. He kissed and massaged them, savoring their beauty with his mouth and hands. Alternating. Repeatedly, in movements that were truly intoxicating.
On her buttocks, Lucas could never forget. It was unseen, but he made sure to give it equal attention. He squeezed, lightly spanked, and then caressed the right places.
Along her skin, Lucas would never forget to leave every trace of red. He sucked and savored every sensation, happily leaving marks of possession that fueled his ego.
Amidst all of that, one thing truly made his blood surge and continue surging. Increasingly surging.
Writhing. Moaning. Eyes rolling unfocused. Along with bites on the lower lip and cheeks stained with a blush.
Velia truly fed Lucas’s ego with pleasurable intimate fantasies. She appeared completely surrendering and enchanted. She was captivated and yearned for more.
Lucas showed his kindness. He pushed her hips and deliberately tempted Velia with proof of his desire.
Velia shivered. Her head moved restlessly, and her legs tightened their grip. She was truly controlled by her desires as she pushed Lucas’s jacket off his body.
Lucas swallowed hard. His Adam’s apple bobbed up and down, astonished by such audacity.
The suit fell. Followed by the tie. Then, each button of the shirt came out of its hole.
Velia’s fingers moved again. She pulled the shirt out of his pants. Then she hurriedly unbuckled his belt, freeing his masculinity from its confinement.
Lucas’s nibbles on Velia’s breasts intensified. It felt as if he wanted to consume her soul entirely.
Velia moaned. Lucas groaned. Because down there, Velia’s fingers wrapped around Lucas’s masculinity.
Lucas’s body tensed. Velia’s touch was like an electric shock that jolted him. He jerked, and as a result, his grip on Velia’s breast tightened.
Velia felt insane. Her body’s urgency was overwhelming. She caressed, stroked, and played with the moistness there.
“Ve.”
Tongue of Lucas caressed Velia’s nipple. It teased with a tickling touch that reached down to her toes, eliciting a giggle that made Velia offer herself.
It seemed not just crazy, but Velia no longer recognized herself. It was impossible for her to be so bold, but she blamed the worries that had made her restless while waiting.
There was an uncomfortable feeling demanding retribution. Like compensation for the anxiety she felt.
“Luc,” Velia helplessly whispered. “I beg you.”
Not only Velia, but he himself also pleaded for the same thing. Lucas’s body rebelled, demanding a journey of pleasure that now lay before him.
Velia took a deep breath. Her courage became more apparent as she hesitantly reached for Lucas’s masculinity.
Getting closer. Closer.
Lucas closed his eyes. The soft and gentle touch of Velia made his body shudder with anticipation.
“Ve.”
Lucas issued a warning. Unfortunately, Velia interpreted it differently due to a memory engraved in her mind.
Lucas enjoyed her touch. Lucas wanted her to keep touching. To caress and then-
Lucas’s hand restrained Velia’s fingers. He halted that intoxicating touch, causing Velia to open her eyes and look at him in confusion.
“Luc.”
Lucas’s face appeared stern. He seemed fierce. He conveyed a passion that had reached its peak.
“You’ve ignited me, Ve.”
Lucas slipped beneath Velia’s nightgown. He ran his hand along her thigh, successfully making Velia hold her breath.
Lucas’s smirk emerged with meaning. He found what he was looking for. Triangular in shape and made of silky fabric.
Lucas pulled down Velia’s panties with one swift motion. Ripped and intangible. The underwear became insignificant as he threw it in any direction.
“You truly ignited me.”
Lucas’s whisper echoed in Velia’s ears. Just before his words turned into a bite on her earlobe.
Velia moaned. Not only because of the nibble on her ear, but also because Lucas’s fingers made the first contact with her femininity.
Caressing. Circling. Then applying a slight pressure with deep emotion.
Velia was more than ready. Even without Lucas examining her so thoroughly, from her demeanor and movements, it was already apparent.
Not just ready. Velia was eagerly anticipating. She whimpered, and Lucas decided to end their waiting.
Lucas adjusted his position. He repositioned Velia’s legs around his waist. He also guided Velia’s hand to hold onto him.
One of Lucas’s hands gripped Velia, lifting her slightly to align their waists. Lucas directed his masculinity towards Velia’s femininity and penetrated with a powerful thrust.
Velia let out a long moan. Her head tilted back, and her fingers gripped Lucas’s shoulders tightly.
Lucas did not move immediately. He needed time. And so did Velia. They needed to calm themselves from the trembling sensation that reached deep into their souls.
It did not take long. Shortly after, the anticipation truly came to an end. Unleashed by the pull of Lucas’s waist, followed by a deep thrust.
Velia’s moans resounded once again. Met with Lucas’s groans. Their voices echoed back and forth like a relay race.
No more waiting. No more hesitation. Now was the time for fiery passion.
The movement began. Not preceded by gentle and rhythmic thrusts as usual, but Lucas immediately pursued with intensity from the very first moment.
Velia startled, but she did not object at all. On the contrary, she accepted it eagerly.
Moans and sighs continued to flow melodiously from Velia’s throat as evidence. Like criminal traces that kept intertwining until the surrounding air was filled with sensual sounds, whispering teasingly.
“Oh, Luc.”
Velia’s response provoked a killer instinct within her. The challenge was unnecessary, only exacerbating the situation. The sparks that emerged only intensified the state of affairs.
Lucas was triggered. The warrior within him rose with full force. He surged, ready to demonstrate a passionate form of lovemaking.
With deep penetration. With rapid urgency. With strong thrusts.
Lucas’s powerful thrusts shook Velia. He unleashed waves of passionate desire that engulfed her. Ripples and splashes continued to splash and create a whirlpool.
Sweat emerged. Perspiration flowed.
Like the lubricant that united the two bodies, creating a slippery sensation that allowed them to slide. Embraces and hugs surpassed all boundaries. Going deeper and deeper.
They were no different at all. The desire and passion that dominated their minds caused them to move recklessly. Not just Lucas, but Velia as well.
Responding and reciprocating. The lovemaking grew hotter as each touch received a response. The passion blazed brighter as each caress received an answer.
Lucas thrust. As he pushed his masculinity forward, Velia responded in kind.
Collisions occurred. There was a slight pain, but Velia relished it.
Lucas saw it clearly. It was not just the influence of the vodka he had just sipped. Impossible. It was inconceivable that his eyes could deceive him in witnessing this sight.
Velia’s face appeared flushed and surrendered. She was captivated and carried away, desiring more as Lucas could clearly feel what was happening. Velia underneath moved in harmony with the thrusts she received.
No vodka could be more intoxicating than this. No type of drink could surpass even the slightest sensation that Lucas was experiencing now. It was not just intoxication and addiction. Instead, it was an array of feelings he never thought could exist, all present without exception.
Lucas’s hand rose. His five fingers stretched out and caressed Velia’s disheveled hair. He stroked, then brushed her red lips that parted.
Their lovemaking was no longer just a fulfillment of biological needs. Lucas could sense something building up inside, a feeling of suffocation. An empty vessel that had suddenly been filled.
In the depths. Hidden far away. There was a pulsating beat within unfamiliar rhythms. Thrilling. Loud. Very noisy.
Lucas leaned down. His tongue slipped and Velia devoured it.
Only briefly. Not for long.
Lucas leaned down again, and his embrace grew stronger. His tongue played with her ear while the thrusts continued to rain down.
Velia’s eyes spun dramatically, then closed. She continued to welcome Lucas’s advances while the caresses on her ear made her body feel weightless.
Velia soared. No longer grounded. She held on and relied completely on Lucas as the waves of pleasure consumed her.
Gradually, it became more and more intense. Initially faint, then becoming more distinct. Everything culminated in a single moment.
Moans arose. Velia’s grip tightened. She could no longer hold back as Lucas’s thrusts not only made her float and soar but also propelled her.
Velia’s cry erupted. Beautiful and truly melodic. Like the song of an angel filling paradise.
Perhaps Velia had transcended to another realm. No longer in a world full of cruelty, but in a nirvana adorned with beauty everywhere.
Beautiful touch. Beautiful caress. Beautiful sensation. Beautiful love.
Velia opened her eyes with a gaze that pierced the heart. She looked at Lucas with a colorful haze in her eyes.
There was pleasure. There was satisfaction. However, there was one part that resisted.
Velia cupped Lucas’s face. She kissed him while a realization slapped them simultaneously.
It was always there. No matter how hard they tried, that part would always be there.
One part that had truly frozen within years of longing. The part that Velia thought didn’t exist, but it had only been hiding.
Velia’s kiss conveyed various emotions that should never have existed. Unfortunately, this is what was happening now.
Not only worry that should not exist. Surrender and submission should not be given by Velia.
“Ah!”
Velia exchanged the kiss for a surprised cry, thanks to Lucas’s unexpected thrust.
Lucas’s face hardened. Just like Velia, there were many things he could feel. Including the turmoil that was now raging in Velia’s eyes.
Lucas would erase it. When it came to them, there could not be any doubt. On the contrary, there could only be certainty.
Just like Lucas’s movements that did not know the slightest doubt. He continued to thrust as pleasure flooded Velia. Adding wetness and warmth that enveloped her.
Lucas groaned. Velia’s pleasure was like a black hole sucking him in. As if it had its own gravitational force that could not be avoided.
Lucas should have been aware of that. Velia possessed an irresistible allure that he could never deny. Even when it came to lovemaking and pleasure, he could not expect much.
Velia’s sensual voice. The intimate sound of their genitals colliding. It was all a perfect combination.
Lucas’s hands clasped in a different way. They wrapped around Velia’s body tightly. Squeezing her back, making Velia think she would shatter.
Velia whimpered. She endured the pain. The discomfort and ache meant nothing. Instead, she reached for Lucas’s neck and returned the embrace, knowing what he wanted.
Lucas pressed on. His movements became more uncontrollable. Fierce and blind. He surged forward, demolishing Velia’s already shattered defenses.
Velia’s moans were heard. Each thrust disrupted her feminine nerves. The muscles tightened and convulsed.
Lucas suddenly could not breathe. His masculinity felt trapped within Velia’s grip. Just as he heard his name being called out explosively.
“Luc!”
Lucas was helpless this time. If he managed to withstand the first onslaught, not this time.
The surge of pleasure from Velia did not just engulf him but also dragged Lucas down. Waves and tides crashed in a tsunami of rolling waves.
Lucas sank. He delivered one final thrust, and now there was no going back. He was buried and submerged in his own pleasure.
Breaths were gasping. Lucas opened his eyes, which had been closed for who knows how long. For that, there was one sight that made his heart squeeze.
Velia held him in a tight embrace. And she kept on gasping.
“Oh, Luc.”
Lucas kissed Velia’s lips. Soft and lingering. Trembling and filled with emotion.
Velia was stunned. The look in Lucas’s eyes adorned her tongue-tied. Somehow, it felt so right.
Lucas didn’t say anything. He just gave a faint smile that Velia couldn’t decipher.
A moment passed. Lucas reached for Velia’s other leg to wrap around his waist.
Velia shifted slightly in Lucas’s arms. Her body floated as Lucas began to walk. For that moment, the only thing that crossed her mind was to cup Lucas’s face and gently kiss his lips.
Worries were no longer present. Now, calmness and serenity filled Velia’s soul.
It felt right indeed.
