“Jon!” Bianca Wells grinned at the familiar barman, yelling above the insane club rock blasting through the club. Jon turned around with a pretty smile, recognizing her voice and waved to her.
Bianca returned both.
After attending to the person he was with, he stalked over to her. “Hey Bee!”
“Hi. Where’s Sam?” She casually glanced around. Jon’s hair which was dyed pristine white sexily fluttered as he shook his head.
“Not here. Big dawg didn’t come to work today.” He answered. Bianca’s face slightly fell. Sam was her favourite barman.
“You know what happened? He never misses his shifts.”
“I know, right? I’ll head over first thing in the morning after work though. My guess is, it’s got to do with that girl he hangs out with. It’s obvious she’s just playing him but dude’s head over heels, sis. Tsk!” He sadly clicked his tongue which had a silver ring in the middle.
Bianca pitied Sam. He was an awefully nice guy with multiple jobs daily because he needed the extra cash for college. And he combined his hectic life with a relationship at the same time!.
A one-sided one though.
Any girl playing him was simply a fool! The repentant redhead concluded.
“Oh well.” She breathed.
“Don’t worry, doll. While your boyfriend is away, I’ll fill in for him. Chin up, sis.” Jon flirtatiously winked and she smiled.
“So… the usual?” He guessed and she hummed a reply.
“Comin’ right up!” He breezed and got busy. Bianca took off her fur coat and dropped her purse, leaving her in a sexy little red dress.
As a model, she had to keep up with the trends every second of the day… or outings.
She turned around to watch the dancers but frowned when Damon Lorenzo, the sinfully beautiful international Casanova who refused to take the ‘Get the bloody hell away from my life!’ threats came into view.
He was standing directly behind her like a friggin’ leech!
A hot one though. Her subconscious muttered sultrily.
Forget that! Didn’t he have a life?? She fumed and took her gaze away.
“Thanks.” Bianca smiled at Jon and picked up her cocktail, ignoring him. Damon pursed his lips and ordered one too, not taking his wronged gaze away from her.
Jon shot Bianca a naughty wink after glancing at Damon and she tried not to roll her eyes.
Her photoshoot today was amazing! That is, if the hot leech…. stop that!…. didn’t have to distract her by flirting with all the friggin’ models present!
It was one of the biggest scenes of her rapidly growing career. The mega company involved dealt with limited edition, pricelessly rare perfumes and she almost blew it because of that certain person!
She tried not to glare at Damon with her side eye but failed and ended up doing it anyway! Damon’s drink went down the wrong hole and he gagged.
Ass!
She cussed and took out her phone. The shoot was held at a pool which overlooked a valley. The photographers were talented and both crews and models were professional.
But her own manager just had to be one of Damon’s many preys!
A single smile and the single mother of two was swooning!
Gosh! Did she wanna be a sugar mom?! And when Bianca whispered to her that Damon was distracting…. her crushing manager shooed her away, telling her to control her jealousy!
Bianca double scoffed and tapped her stilettos angrily at the memory.
The worst part of it all was when they were shooting near the cliff and Damon positioned himself across the pool, throwing his oh-so-sensuously-effective smirks for the vulture-looking female models to ogle for free!!
She almost fell off the cliff!
The birdbrains couldn’t stop giggling making her anger double!. And when Damon, as her supposed intern manager, bought lunch for all the models and crews, everyone practically crowned him a star!
Jerk!
Damon cringed looking at Bianca’s deathly scowl. Why was she so angry when he’s the one who’s supposed to be mad?!
First, it was the Italian photographer she kept ogling at with smokey eyes. Then those male models she poised with!
It wasn’t one, two or three guys but six of them!! The only thing missing was for them all to screw themselves on the stupid pool chair!
And when they were to poise in bikini?…. Damon scoffed and gulped his drink in one go, angrily tapping his boots at the memory.
Jon replaced it.
As if that wasn’t enough, the Casanova graciously escorted her all the way to the club to learn of Jon, Sam and the new freak she was smirking at across the dance floor!
“Hey!” He snapped his fingers but she ignored him. Damon walked over to her front and stood there. Bianca glared at him.
“Move!” She barked.
“This building ain’t yours, sweetheart. So I can stand wherever I want to.” He positioned himself there properly like a tree. Without arguing, Bianca picked up her stuff and paid for her drink.
“Bye Jon.” She spared him a smile and he nodded distractedly, helplessly enjoying the lovers cute little fight with a palm under his chin.
Damon slammed whatever money he snatched from his wallet on the counter and dashed after her.
“Bianca.” He called but she walked faster, strutting away on her high heels.
Like how does she do it??
“Bianca, wait!”
“Taxi!” She waved. Damon got to her and waved the cab away.
“You’re the most hardhearted girl I’ve ever met!” He stated.
“You don’t know me.” She snapped back, bringing out her phone to call her driver instead.
“Maybe I don’t. But can’t you forgive? I’ve told you how sorry I am for days now!” He snatched her phone when she kept ignoring him.
“Damon!”
“Why are you still so mad at me?!” He yelled, for the first time in his life. People turned to stare at the weird couple. Some even brought out their phones to live stream the first dramatic breakup of the new year.
Bianca noticed and hastily lowered her head. “Let’s leave…”
“No! We’re not going anywhere until….”
“Fine! I’ll tell you anything but not here. I just signed one of the biggest contracts of my career and I don’t want you ruining it!”
Damon looked confused.
“I don’t expect you to understand the power of the media with your silly tantrums, you dumbass!” She growled and tugged him over to his car, still hiding her face.
“Dumbo.” She furiously cussed again under her breath. Damon hid in a smile.
Now that was his Bianca!
“I thought you didn’t have a licence.” He mused when she took control of the wheels.
“Don’t be cute. The fact I don’t like driving doesn’t mean I don’t.” Damon rolled his eyes and remained quiet till they got to her apartment’s driveway.
”Hey! I thought we’re supposed to have a conversation.” He yelled when she got out of the car and smugly tossed him his keys.
“Make an appointment!.”
Damon’s eyes bulged in disbelief. “You…”
He groaned and jumped out of his car. And once again, the elevator doors closed before he could get to it.
“Dang it!” He swore and stomped his foot sourly before running up the six flights of stairs…. AGAIN.
By the time he got to her floor, Bianca was walking into her apartment dangling her keys.
“Bianca, I’m not leaving until we have this discussion.” He stated deadpan. She removed her coat and tossed it on a random couch.
“There are plenty of sofas if you want a sleepover.” She waved her hands nonchalantly towards the living room. Damon stormed after her into the bedroom.
“I already apologised for…”
“Don’t say it.” She gritted.
“Then forgive me!.” He was breathless.
“And let me guess, for also flirting with every single girl we passed by!” She kicked off her shoes.
“I didn’t!” He denied.
“You did!” She accused.
“So?”
“Get out!” She scowled venomously and yanked opened her door. Damon swallowed a grin.
“Why are we having this odd conversation?”
“Who started it?!” She retorted. Damon raked his hair and let out a tired sigh.
Yeah, he was tired of being a girl’s chaperone! That was the longest time the playboy had ever spent chasing a single girl! And for the record, that was too much attention any Casanova could give.
“Bianca, what do I have to do to make you forgive me?” He tried for the last time.
Bianca paused in the middle of the room and said nothing, somewhat feeling the difference in this particular replayed line.
Damon took his lip in. “I’m leaving the country tomorrow.” He whispered softly.
Bianca’s eyes suddenly whipped up, feeling the strange twinge in her heart at his words.
“And I don’t think I’ll be coming back to Cali, ever…” The pinch became worse.
“So I really need to know if you’ve forgiven me.” He raised his eyes to meet hers. Bianca silently stared at him with blank, cat-like ones.
“You’re joking.” She finally snorted getting the trick.
“I’m not. Bianca, you’re one of the reasons I haven’t left yet. If not the major. There’s something about you, something new, that makes me want to stay. But since you’re still so mad and refuse to forgive me…. there’s no reason for me to stay anymore.” He confessed and she looked away.
They stayed that way for a long time until Damon sighed out again and turned to leave. But Bianca side stepped him.
“If I forgive you…. mainly for flirting…” She pursed her lips uncomfortably.
“Will…” Her lips twitched. Damon’s ears pricked up instinctively.
“Will you stay?” She muttered and held his gaze. The playboy who was partially missing his missing-in-action old life thought for a while and shrugged.
“May…” He started but was cut off by her hot sizzling kiss…
