Natalia quickily side stepped him.
“Let’s just leave, okay?!” She picked her bag and dragged the raging French away.
“What the hell was that about?!” He yelled the second they were at his car parked outside the gate.
Natalia flinched and looked at him. “Ari, I…”
“Firstly, you lied about having nowhere exactly to go, then screwed my call just so you could visit that bloody bastard??”
“Arian, I didn’t lie to you. I had to see him and talk things over. We were gonna have to meet again sooner or later. I apologized, didn’t I? Your call came at an unexpected time and I had to hang up.” She explained.
“Of all places, why did you freaking have to meet him at his damn house! Darn it, Natalia! How could you even think of coming here alone? What were you thinking, huh? I thought you were smarter. What if he’d tried something much worse than he did the last time?” He yelled and kicked his car.
Natalia finally lost it.
Why did everyone kept thinking the worst about another victim because of a single mistake?!
“Arian, stop yelling. Yes, I was smarter to have come here alone! God knows what hospital one of you would’ve ended up in if i’d brought you along! And like I said earlier, it wasn’t what you saw. So please excuse me. I obviously can’t talk with you in this condition!” She snapped and turned to board a cab.
“I wouldn’t be so surprised!” He spat and she turned around.
“After all, you were both having the time of your lives and I had to ruin it for the second…” He couldn’t finish his words because she slapped him!…
***
“Mhm.” Natalia groaned lazily and stretched out to slam her alarm shut.
Gosh, she felt tired. She pouted and groaned again as her phone began ringing.
“Morning.” She mumbled sleepily as she connected. It was six in the morning.
Who calls that early?!
“Sugar, i’m…” She instantly cut it and tossed her phone away.
If she’d known it was him calling, she wouldn’t have picked in the first place.
Feeling the sleep gone, Natalia pulled her duvet aside and strolled into the washroom. She splashed water on her face and wiped it with a towel before picking up her tooth brush.
She had eye bags and a headache because she’d cried all night because of the fight she had with Arian De’ Argent yesterday.
Their first real fight.
~~~
“… Don’t show your face to me till the boy I fell in love with returns to his senses.” She blinked away the huge teardrops clouding her eyes and walked away.
Natalia could hear him calling out and running after her but she didn’t stop walking. Arian caught up with her and enveloped her in a tight back hug, whispering an intense apology in her ears. But she didn’t want to hear it. She tried to break free. Unfortunately, his grip was too strong.
“Arian, let go!” She whimpered and broke free. He’d hurt her and the pain crushed her heart. Arian’s heart squeezed in regret and pain as he held her again.
“My love, i’m sorry. I was so stu…”
“Is there a problem here, miss?” A policeman on patrol asked as he approached the couple.
Natalia hastily wiped her tears and moved away from Arian.
“There’s no problem. We were just talking.”
“Are you sure?” He asked again, feeling the awkward tension between the two.
She nodded. “Do you mind helping me to the bus stop, sir? If it’s not such a bother.”
“Sure thing, miss.” He helped her into the patrol car and Natalia kept her teary gaze ahead, ignoring the hurting look on Arian’s face…
~~~
Natalia walked downstairs to get a cup of coffee and explained to Elva why she was skipping. After telling her to rest well, the fussing royal assistant finally drove to school
Of course, she told her the reason. It’s not like Elva wouldn’t have found out herself.
Natalia didn’t dare eat a sandwich or she’ld have thrown up. She stopped sulking with her mug and went back to her room. Walking over the countless apologetic flowers he’d been sending every thirty minutes, she fell on her bed.
The princess picked up her phone to order Chinese when she noticed his voice messages, calls and dms. She pursed her lips and listened to some of them till she fell asleep, forgetting to order…

If Arian De’ Argent could turn back the hands of time, he’ld do it in a heartbeat.
Saying he was the world’s biggest fool would be an understatement! He let the anger of seeing that jerk touch his woman get the better of him. He was frustrated and took out the frustration on everyone… and everything, since she left with that nosy cop!
He recklessly drove into school and sighted Elva with Nicky. They were in their sport uniform and were going in to play ping-pong.
Elva spotted him and made to pass by, not doing much to hide the scowl on her face. But Arian side stepped her.
“I know you’re also mad but I really need to see her. I was silly and said things I shouldn’t. Please help me.”
“You didn’t need me to hurt her. So deal with it yourself!”
“I will if you tell me where she is! She’s not picking my calls and…”
“Isn’t it obvious enough? Natalia doesn’t wanna talk to…” Nicky gently nudged her, playing the mediator. The best friend was clearly upset and the boyfriend was helpless.
Elva bit her lips.
“She didn’t sleep well last night and wasn’t feeling well this morning. So I told her to stay home.” Arian pressed his temple.
Now she was ill?? He groaned and raked his hair.
After rushing out a thanks, he ran back to his car and strapped his seatbelt. As he drove out of the third gate, his phone buzzed. He connected it to ear pods.
“What?!” He impatiently barked.
“U.. um.. s.. sir? The se.. securities.. Uh.. I was prevented from delivering more flowers.” The flower boy the young heir had personally hired stuttered.
“So?” He snarled and accelerated.
“S.. sir, I won’t be allowed in.. into the c..”
“Make use of your dumb brain and throw it over the fence! So useless!” He snapped and tossed the ear pods away.
Freaking wuss!
Arian drove into the homely gates some minutes later and pulled over, ignoring the vibrating flower boy on his way in. He skipped up the stairs into the porch and rang the doorbell.
His nerves were all over the place!
After another ring, the door swept open and a fragile, innocent figure came into view. Dressed in white from head to toe like a bride… or a ghost… Natalia was stunned seeing Arian.
The white bathrobe was secured firmly around her waist with a head towel and slippers. She looked weak like a baby bird drenched in rain.
Arian’s heart warmed at the sight and he lost his voice. The apology he’d memorised on the way here vanished completely as he simply drooled.
The air around was thick with remorse and desire. Minutes passed without anyone saying anything. And they didn’t need to. Their eyes told how much they missed each other.
Natalia lowered her Bambi eyes and it broke the spell. She took her lips in nervously as Arian cleared his throat.
“Na…” He began but was cut short by a familiar male voice.
“Natalia, it’s perfect. The next time you’re in there, you’ll feel like you’ve died and gone to heaven!” A brunette appeared behind her, looking a bit sweaty.
Arian looked in shock at him and then at her, and then back at their clothes before his fists balled automatically…
*( Reverse.)*
Natalia woke up an hour later feeling much better. It should be no secret by now that the princess had a fragile health.
Her appetite returned but she craved pizza instead and ordered. After the package came, she only had an appetite for a slice and dumped the rest in the fridge.
She skipped into her bathroom and stripped her clothes to have a shower, but the water acted funny.
Thankfully, Jake was ‘multi talented’ and helped out. While he worked on it, she ordered security to stop the flower boy because her room was slowly turning into a florist’s shop!
The door bell sounded and she went over to get it. Arian’s glum but gorgeous figure appeared behind the door and her heart skipped a thousand beats. Natalia was hurt and happy to see him. Despite how upset she was…. she’d missed him.
“Na…”
“Natalia, it’s perfect. The next time you’re in there, you’ll feel like you’ve died and gone to heaven!”
She turned and smiled in gratitude at Jake while feeling a cold chill crawl down her neck.
Arian was dangerously silent as Jake nodded at him in acknowledgement and walked away.
He didn’t return it. Rather, he kept up that cold look.
Natalia cleared her throat and fiddled with the doorknob. “Did you want to say something?” She mouthed.
“Can I come in?” He asked instead. She flushed at her manners but hid it with a casual shrug.
“If you want to.” Natalia walked into the house.
She went straight to a couch in the living room and sat on it, crossing her legs. But on second thoughts, she dropped them immediately and sat well remembering what she was putting on.
Arian pursed his lips and walked in, shutting the door gently. She almost rolled her eyes.
He carefully sat next to her and made to entwine their fingers but she shoved her hands into the pockets of her bathrobe.
“Sugar, i’m sorry. I feel like a… No, i’m a complete idiot for what I said! I was mad and… and a bit jealous and I let it get the best of me. Please forgive me?” He muttered and she looked at him.
“I’m sorry too for not telling you where I was going… and for hitting you.” She apologized. Arian chuckled freely.
“It’s the first time I’ve gotten hit… but I deserved it.” Natalia giggled back.
Rich spoilt kids!
‘As if we aren’t one.’ Her subconscious snickered and rolled her eyes.
“So…. Am I forgiven?” He whispered nervously, looking at her.
”I might think about it if you be my escort to a birthday party tomorrow night.”
“Why must it be a party? You know I hate parties.” He pouted. Natalia stood up and pretended to be angry.
“Fine! Then this conversation is over.” She turned to walk away but Arian hastily held her back.
The force made her trip and tumble onto his legs. Natalia’s heart fluttered gazing into his mint green eyes.
“You know i’ll do anything for you.” He whispered and softly connected their lips…
