“Why would you?!” He yelled and she flinched in fear.
“Why would you?” He continued on a softer tone. “Natalia, I… I thought…. thought I had a chance with you. I thought you liked me as much as I like you. Everything we did together, I… i’ve tried to show you how much I love you…. b… but didn’t they mean anything to you? Was it out of sympathy? W… was I that pathetic that you had to agree to every date out of pity?”
Natalia hastily stood up, huge tears threatening to pour out.
“Leo, i’m sorry. I’m so sorry for being selfish and not considering your feelings. I didn’t know. I like you, Leo. But it’s only as a friend.”
“But I don’t want you to like me only as a friend! I’ve always had to deal with my pains alone but this one… This one hurts so much! Natalia, I’m in love with you. Don’t you get it? I can’t let go!” He half yelled and raked his hair.
Natalia wiped her tears.
“Leonardo, I am sorry… but I can’t be more to you.” She whispered and turned to leave but he twirled her back.
Natalia gasped at how close they were. Usually, she felt nothing but the look in his eyes reminded her of those times she’d flippantly laughed it off as nothing.
She bulged her eyes and tried to break free.
“I’m sorry as well… But I won’t let go.” He vowed and captured her lips.
It took a couple of seconds for Natalia to figure out what was going on.
Leonardo was kissing her!!
She wriggled in his hold but his grip was too strong for her. She clamped her lips and tried to push him away but he wouldn’t let go! He wasn’t the Leonardo she knew anymore and it scared her.
Tears began to fall again as she struggled but only whimpers came out. All of a sudden, a greater force tore him away from her. Natalia stumbled from the impact and fell on her side. Leonardo De Luca was tackled to the ground by a hot, furious French!
Arian didn’t give him a chance to break free. He hit him repeatedly till Leo bled from all angles! Natalia increased her tears seeing his bloodied face and called out to Arian to stop but he only hardened his hits.
The rage in his eyes showed a murderous aura. One that wouldn’t stop untill someone died.
“Arian!!” She screamed out her lungs and that broke the spell. He stopped and shoved Leo’s collar away.
Arian turned to her and Natalia’s heart froze.
That wasn’t the look of the person she was in love with!
She whimpered and began crawling away on her butt as fast as she could seeing him storm over. He pulled her up and out of the garden. Natalia looked back at the slight opportunity she got and noticed Leonardo wasn’t moving at all.
Her fears increased.
Arian pulled her into his car and drove off to God knows where. She stuck to the car door and cried herself insane. They were either gonna die or get arrested with the speed he was driving at.
Within minutes, they were outside the city and tearing through the highway. He didn’t stop accelerating till they got to an isolated manor.
“Please take me home.” She whimpered as more tears fell.
Arian weakly raised his head from the steering wheel. She could see the gruesome wounds on his bleeding knuckles.
“I’m sorry. I’m sorry. I’m sorry.” He breathed like a psycho.
But the princess wasn’t ready to be sorry-ed. She just wanted to go home and cuddle her pillow like she does whenever she’s scared.
“Please just…”
“I said I’m sorry!” He yelled and hit the wheel. She screamed and squeezed her frightened self further away from him. Arian got out of the car and pulled her into the mysterious house.
They kept on walking till they got into a large bedroom. She scrambled away the moment he let go. Arian walked to a corner and raked his hair insanely.
“I know it wasn’t you. It wasn’t your fault. They caused it. They don’t want our happiness. Darn it, they don’t want us together!” He yelled and pushed the contents on a table to the floor.
Natalia almost dashed to the door but the fear of what he’ld do to her rooted her to the ground.
Suddenly, Arian turned to stare at her.
“Please forgive me, my love.” He muttered and hugged her. She didn’t dare move. She just hugged herself and cried.
“I wanna go home.” She pleaded.
“No, you can’t! They want to tear us apart. They want me to…” He couldn’t bring himself to finish his statement and hugged her tighter.
“Who wanna tear us apart?” She asked tearily.
Arian nodded emphatically. “Them… All of them.”
“I need some water.” Natalia stuttered and he let go, wiping away her tears.
He placed a kiss on her forehead and walked out. Natalia rushed over and locked the door.
Whatever he’s going through was obviously making him unstable and it freaked her out. She kicked off her shoes and climbed on the bed, hugging a large pillow. The door knob rattled a bit.
“Natalia, please open up.” She nodded as if he could see her.
“Please go away.” Her tears continued to fall. He hit the door and she flinched, burying her face deeper in the pillow.
“I’m sorry if I scared you. Please just open…”
“Go away!” She screamed, and didn’t hear his voice after that.
She thought of calling Elva to come get her but her phone had dropped in the garden. She laid on the bed, still hugging the pillow and closed her eyes…

Arian slid his back on the large door and sat on the floor. He stared at thin air and fisted his hair in frustration.
*(A couple of hours ago)*
“… Bye mom.” He kissed her and headed to the door.
“Um… pumpkin. Your dad wants to speak with you.” She smiled, but underneath anyone could see her hesitance.
“What does he want now? Force me on a date with the President’s daughter?” He frowned irritably.
“Go see him. I love you.” She kissed his head before leaving.
“I’m here.” He breathed the second he barged into his father’s study. Sir Argent temporarily looked up from the files he was going through.
“Oh.” He closed the document. “Just in time.” He said as Selena walked in through the door.
“Good morning, Uncle.” She breezed and sat on one of the guest chairs.
“Why aren’t you sitting?” She cocked a brow at him.
“Mind your darn business.” He snarled coldly and she shrugged.
“There’s been some adjustments.” Sir Argent started. “… concerning you two.”
Selena looked flippant. He turned to Arian.
“Henceforth, you’ll be involved with the company. Since you’ve been lackadaisical with your education lately, keeping you in a tight spot will remind you of the responsibility you have as my heir.” He rolled his eyes.
“An also, your wedding has been fixed.” He announced.
“What?!” Sir Argent ignored him and turned to Selena.
“Your father and I concluded that you’ll both get married immediately after high school.”
“Dad, I can’t marry her!” He yelled.
“You can and you will.” His voice was tight, leaving no room for further discussions.
“No, I won’t! I have every right to disagree with this abominable union! I’m not a simple minded dummy you can boss around. I’m not even in love with her for Christ’s sake! ”
“Then find some!” His father snapped, his impatience reaching its limits.
Arian choked on disbelief.
“How can you be so calm selling out your son? Are you really such a terrible father?!” He spat.
“Put your words under control!”
“Or what?!” Arian raged.
“I’m your father! Have you no respect?!”
“Father my ass!” He snarled.
“Arian!” Selena flew up.
“Shut up!” He barked.
“Have you no shame? Haven’t you overstayed your welcome? Your dirty little tricks won’t work on me! You can tell your father to move up the wedding to this weekend for all I care but just know that there’d be no groom available! I’m insanely in love with someone else and there’s no space for a disillusioned dead weight like you!”
“Arian, you’re hurting me! You don’t mean it. You’re just mad, right? Okay, i’m sorry. She’s seducing you. You’re just distracted! She won’t be by your side forever but I will. Arian, I love you so much! Can’t you see that?” She teared up and tried to touch him.
“Stay away from me! Don’t be so shameless and have some self respect!” He spat and jerked away.
“What’s so special about her, huh? Can’t you see she’s just playing you?!”
“Say one more word about her and I might just forget you’re a girl!” He growled. His aristocratic training all going down the drain at that moment.
“Arian Antonio Dé Argent! Have you totally lost it?!” His father was furious.
“Yes!! As long as you two are involved, then yes!” He yelled.
“In this house, my word is law and you’d better forget about that girl and learn to love your new fiancée.” He stated, dangerously calm.
“And if I don’t?” He viciously dared.
“I will not only disinherit, but also disown you.” The C. E. O icily snarled…
