Chapter 37 : Let The Game Begin.

Book:Beverly Hills Academy : The Royal Affair Published:2024-6-2

Bianca got ready for school with a smirk on her face. She couldn’t wait to execute the plans her girls came up with. Nothing else mattered to the queen anymore!
If she couldn’t have Arian, then no one else could! Especially the bitch who wanted her popularity as well.
She did her morning routine which included screaming at the ‘clumsy idiotic maids’ who couldn’t do their darn jobs well! After which she sashayed downstairs to meet her dad at the table having breakfast with her girls. Of course he knew everyone of ’em. Probably because of their parents’ status or whatever.
Senator Wells was dressed casually. So Bianca knew he was gonna work from home today. His personal guards were standing behind him while the rest stood outside, looking intimidating in black.
“Morning pàpà.” She smiled and kissed him. He smiled at her.
“Morning sweetie. How was your night?”
“Better than ever.” She took his sandwich and a bottle of water and told her girls it was time to leave.
Models always had to be hydrated. It was good for skin glow. And Queen Bee, as usual, lived everyday to glow!
Tiffany paused but she blushed and stood up after her eyes met with dad’s? Weirdo! Bianca rolled her eyes. Her dad was still youthful and her silly friends couldn’t keep their bitch little eyes away!
“So are the things in place?” Bianca asked as they strutted out of the fort.
“Yup! Locked and loaded.” Rihanna chipped, looking through her tablet. Allison rolled her eyes and scoffed.
Imp!
Bianca seethed, seriously considering restraining the bitch before she went out of control!
“And let the game begin.” She smirked to herself before entering her limo which the B. R. A. T. S drove to school everyday…

To Elva, Monday was as boring as heck! She detested Mondays!… more of school days…
They had English class first which was fun because it was her favourite. Being the Royal assistant to a future Empress required a whole lot of it. So she kinda had to like it.
Then they had math class and she almost dozed off!
She wondered how Natalia and Nicky loved the sound of it. To her, it sounded like ‘kill me!’.
Elva was an A plus student by force, not by choice. Her royal status required her grades to be perfect at all times.
Sighs.
Mid-term was approaching fast and she had to be prepared. Then the group got to P. E theory class.
“I’m gonna pass out if we take another class!” She groaned and crashed her head on her locker. Natalia exchanged smiles with Leonardo.
“You should’ve stayed home if you’re bent on being lazy.” Leo taunted. She shot him a dirty glare.
“Guys, have you heard??” Nicky gushed excitedly, twisting herself to face them. She sat at Natalia’s front while Leonardo was at the Princess’s left and Elva was at her right.
They were kinda flanking her.
“What now?” Elva drawled.
“We’re having some kind of trip outside the city!” She squealed happily.
“How sure are you?” Leonardo was skeptical.
“She’s Nicky. The fastest Minister for Information! Why wouldn’t she know?” Natalia whispered to him and the trio chuckled.
The wronged strawberry blonde humphed, flung her butterfly pen at them and faced her front just as the door flew open.
Natalia’s smile dropped as Bianca and her crew dominantly walked in. The bubbly class which was still chattering about the Argent’s party stopped at once and swallowed their words.
Why were they so afraid of her?? The Princess thought it was getting stupid by the day. Apart from being immature bullies, they were also regular human beings for crying out loud!
Bianca waltzed by and threw Natalia a twisted smile which Elva found suspicious. Natalia didn’t notice. Rather, her innocent eyes were zeroed in on something else.
What kind of mechanical legs did she have? Was she seriously wearing heels on uniform?? No, no, didn’t she ever get cramps???
The P. E teacher came in next and announced a trip after all!
Nicky raised her chin smugly and shot them a mocking look.
Silly girl!.
“The trip is going to be on a beach in a secluded island. Sportsmanship shouldn’t always be restricted to a safe environment only. A person, whether aiming a career in sports or not, need to be prepared for the worst case scenarios of life. So the training is gonna be adventurous and a bit more tougher than you’re all used to.” He announced.
The whole class whistled and yelled happily. Natalia was so happy that she squealed too. Maybe it was the good feelings she had earlier that morning.
The Princess had never been to a beach or an island before. So she was counting it as part of her adventure.
“I hope that excitement remains because your performance at the trip will be scored as your P. E test this midterm.” He continued and over half the class groaned while the rest disapprovingly murmured.
“The camp is in three weeks so get prepared. Emails will be sent to every parent and guardian informing them of the trip and other necessary informa…”

Class was over and it was lunch break.
“Guys, I’m gonna head over to the ladies room. Meet y’all in a bit.” Natalia waved and walked away after dropping her books.
“Kk! Be back soon.” Elva called out.
“Sure thing!” She yelled over her shoulders…
*****
“Y’all go ahead without me. I’ll catch up later.” Arian picked up his bag pack and stuffed an exquisite box of cream chocolates in.
“Hmn… I smell someone’s good fortune coming up.” Jeffrey smiled wickedly, swirling around in the swivel chair he was sitting on.
“Yo, don’t be such a pest. I’m sure she’s gonna love it… since it’s coming from the heart.” Ricky smirked and crossed his legs. He was chillin’ on the couch with his phone.
“Vous êtes des idiots!” Arian De’ Argent helplessly swore at them in French. (‘you idiots are crazy!’ )
“They’re not from me. They’re from….”
“But you’re happy being the messenger.” Ricky pointed and Jeffrey gave him a stupid hand clap.
“Since when did the mighty Arian De’Argent, heir of a multi-billion dollar conglomerate… become an errand boy?? ” Jeffrey teased.
And they shared a chuckle.
“Jeez, what year is this?” …. and the dumbasses continued.
Arian scoffed and stomped away angrily.
Jerks!!
It was lunch break and he was hoping to catch up with Natalia before she got into the cafeteria… where a lot of other jerks would misunderstand.
Not that the young French really cared. He just didn’t want her in any more scandals because of him again.
As Arian rounded the corner, he caught Natalia hurrying through the hallway at the extreme end.
“Hey…” He started, but stopped and looked at the few students, ogling him at the hallway. He would’ve called out but they would’ve turned to look as well. So Arian just followed behind.
Arian really meant it when he said the chocolates weren’t from him. They were from…
The young master couldn’t complete his thoughts because what he saw ahead shocked the living daylight out of him!…
*******
“This is weird!” Natalia muttered under her breath.
How could all the female restrooms have maintenance issues at the same time? Wasn’t it some kind of five star school or something??
She huffed out disapprovingly and walked towards the last one in the senior building. It was on the first floor and virtually empty. No student was within. The corridor was quiet, creepy and a little bit dark.
Natalia suddenly gasped.
What if a ghost pops out or zombies crawl out or…. No, no, no!! She mentally slapped herself.
Stop this stupidity, Natalia Alexis Santiana!
You weren’t trained to show weak emotions especially silly fears! Stop this, right now!
She hyped herself and took slow, steady steps.
As she entered the last corner, she kicked some kind of string and nearly tripped!!
“What kind of silly prank is this?!” Natalia frowned. She bent to take a picture of the crime scene to report to the school authorities when someone yelled her name from behind.
She flipped around to see Arian running over and wondered what he was doing there. Was he stalking her? Cornering her down there?? Her heart started its crazy beats again as a million bad thoughts ran through her head. The naive Princess instinctively hugged herself.
Anxiety almost made her run away when a loud noise, like a pile of metals clinging together, caught her attention.
Natalia paused and looked to her left. And the next second, her eyes bulged open!
The metal chairs made for prep, which was stacked high up the walls were falling over… towards her!
She froze!
Natalia couldn’t breathe or move. She was terrified! So terrified that she couldn’t hear Arian yelling at her to move any longer. Her legs were stiff and frozen!
She closed her teary eyes expecting the worst when he pulled her away and covered her like a shield.
The chairs finally made contact and they crashed on the floor due to the impact… Then everywhere became silent.
*****
Natalia must’ve passed out for a couple of minutes before she regained consciousness. She painfully rolled off Arian with the heavy chairs still around them.
Her vision became blurry. She was slammed hard and her entire body ached all over. But that wasn’t her priority.
.
Arian was.
.
She immediately turned and saw him in pain. Arian’s head was covered with blood!
The Princess shrieked and choked out tears. The bloody mess dripped from his hair and ears, flowing down his collar.
“Thank God you’re safe.” He painfully whispered before passing out.
Seeing his beautiful face as pale as death, memories of her parents lifeless body at their funeral flashed across her mind, and the Princess didn’t realize when she let out an agonizing scream…
