Chapter 60
Three days went by in a flash and before they noticed it, Ashton and his pack were already at the borders of the ash band pack.
Their journey had been smooth and they had not faced a lot of dangers on their way. They only had some rogues and a few wild animals that pack members took care of with ease. Ashton did not even have to lift his finger.
“If we go for about one hour, we will be able to make it in time before the challenge began,” Theo told Ashton, who was resting with his eyes closed.
“That is good. We will wait until they tire themselves out then can begin our operation.” Ashton said. He knew that even if he did not use the opportunity to expose Kelly, he would still have a lot of chances. But he did not want to waste too much of his energy.
Since he had such a great opportunity to expose himself to the whole world, he will not waste it.
At the ash band pack fighting arena….
Although it was still early, the arena was already fully packed. Since they said that only the two alphas will be facing each other, and the rest of the pack members would not be implicated, everyone wanted to join the fun.

In the fighting arena, Matthew had already arrived with his gang. He was eagerly waiting as he sat in his chair. He looked at people from the ash band pack and smiled with disdain.
Wait till he defeats that arrogant brat, he will deal with them one at a time.
The elders of the ash band looked at the arrogant and conceited Matthew with grave expressions on their faces. Only if superman were excited in their time, they would have already summoned him to beat the crap out of him.

Soon, Kelly joined them. He was even more arrogant than Matthew. He walked as if victory was already his. Lily was walking beside him with her head held high.
Mark, who was already in the arena watching, did not have much changed in his expression. He just watched her act as the host and made a few prayers in his heart for her. She wanted to play with fire, so he will not stop her. Since he decided to betray him, he will only watch as Ashton destroyed them.
The only thing that he was looking forward to, was seeing Maya. It had been a long time and he did not how much she had changed. Had she grown taller, was she more beautiful? Will she be shocked upon seeing him, will she forgive him?
The will she questions occupied his mind making it chaotic. What will he do if she doesn’t forgive him?
Mark did not dwell on his thoughts much because the battle was going to begin soon.
“The battle between alpha Kelly of the ash band pack and alpha Matthew of the blue blood pack. Fight to the death!” The person in charge announced.
The arena was in an uproar as both Matthew and Kelly stepped on the ground. The members of both packs held their breath as they prayed that their alpha emerges the winner.
The moment the battle started, Ashton received the news from Tom who was already seated in the arena. If not for the fact that Ashton wanted to make an appearance, they would not have wasted their time coming and watching this stupid challenge.
The battle was intense, and just as they were at each other’s throats, a pack of wolves came out of nowhere and stood in the middle of the fighting ground.
Both Matthew and Kelly were shocked as they thought that the other had played a trick.
“How could you summon your pack here?” Kelly barked at Matthew angrily. If he were to fight the whole pack, even if he had ten thousand, he knew that he won’t be able to win.
“I thought it is your pack!” Matthew said, confusion appearing on each other’s faces.
“Of course not!”
They were still arguing when the wolves who had entered shifted to their human form. The shock that Kelly and Matthew received after seeing the leader of the pack was no less than the shock everyone in the arena received.
Everyone was shocked to see Ashton leading the pack. And the woman beside him, both Mark and Lily stood up at the same time after seeing her.
Although she had changed a lot, Lily thought even if she turned into ashes, she would still be able to recognize her.
As for Mark, tsk… his expression was more animated and he stopped breathing for a few seconds.
Kevin fell on his chair upon seeing Ashton. “It is over. We are finished?”
He regretted not being born a wizard as he would have disappeared with the snap of his finger.

The elders were shocked at the sight of Ashton and immediately jumped over to the ground. Although they were glad that he had come, they were still mad at how unrepentant he was.
How could he walk here as if nothing happened? He even dared to bring a group of weaklings with him.
“Ashton, you traitor, what are you doing here? Have you come to answer for your crimes?”
“Elders, I hope you have been well!” Ashton did not mind their attitude and even smiled at them.
“Bastard, you killed your grandfather and you still dare to come here?”
“Aiya my elders, I haven’t seen you for a long time, I am only offering my greetings, seems like I am not welcomed here.”
“Yes, you are not!”
“Oh my goodness, I am so heartbroken!” Ashton said, putting on a dramatic expression.
Maya could not take it anymore and pinched him hard on his arm.
“Can you get down to business already? I am damn tired!” She mind-linked with him.
“But it seems like you have gotten old. After all that time, you haven’t found my grandfather’s real killer, he must be disappointed in you!” Ashton said.
Kelly who had already returned to his senses, had a bad feeling when he heard Ashton.
“Brother, what are you talking about? You killed our patriarch and now you want to shift the blame to someone else, who are you trying to kid?”
“I am not trying to fool anyone. I have just come to uphold justice for my grandfather.”
“Catch him!” Kelly shouted. “He will face his punishment today!” No one moved. The aura that Ashton was emitting was so oppressive that no one dared to move.
“Brother, aren’t you tired of acting or are you waiting until you have sucked the blood of every member of the pack before you get satisfied?” Ashton asked, unfazed by his brother’s outburst.
“What are you talking about?” Kelly’s heart skipped a bit.
“I am sure the smell of fresh blood is tempting right now, isn’t it?” Ashton said with a small smile although his expression was very cold.
The moment his words fell, Kelly felt the beast inside him struggling to come out. And in front of everyone, he transformed into the blood-sucking monster, and just as he was about to place his fangs on Matthew’s neck because he was the nearest, he noticed that he could not move…
His legs had someone been chained and he could not move. Matthew immediately ran away, inhaling deeply. He thought he did not fear death, but just a moment ago,….
“That is the consequence of killing someone more powerful than you. Did you think that you will leave unscathed?” Ashton asked as he walked over.
Kelly looked at him and trembled in fear. He has never felt someone so powerful as his brother right now.
“I feel pity for you and for all the people that you have fooled.”
He then turned and looked at the elders, who had their mouths wide open, “I will leave him to you!”
They came back to their senses and immediately ordered people to take Kelly away. They looked at Ashton, with only respect in their eyes. They had thought that they will never see this side of him again.
Ashton did not care about what they thought. With his pack, he made his way to the top of the arena. He shared his dream with everyone present and urged those who saw it fit to join him on his mission.
The people shouted and cheered, especially those at the bottom of the food chain.
The alphas who were present made a circle and shouted at the top of their lungs, “to the United land!”
“To the United Land!” Their members shouted back.

“As the alpha association, we are very proud to announce alpha Ashton as our only true king! Without him, we would not have reached this far!”
Ashton was astonished by the surprise but he did not shy away from it as he accepted the honor bestowed upon him.
“It is my honor and pleasure!”
“To the Alpha King!”
“Cheers!”
“Cheers!”
“I love you baby and our little one. You came as a blessing and I will cherish you for the rest of our life!” Ashton turned to Maya who was already heavily pregnant and kissed her deeply.
“I love you too darling. I am proud of you and all that you have achieved!” Maya happily returned the kiss.
