Aaron took Vanessa to a steak restaurant.
After the steak was served, Aaron carefully cut the steak and then handed it to Vanessa to make it easier for her to eat.
Vanessa refused at first, she had a pair of hands. But Aaron told her gently, “I’m your man, and this is what I could do for you.”
“Fine.”
Vanessa reluctantly accepted the steak cut by Aaron.
The dim light shone on the side of the girl’s face, gilded with a layer of gentle light, and the small face that was usually cold also became a few more vivid. Aaron watched it and got a little dumbfounded for a while.
His Lamb looked so pretty.
Aaron was admiring her, but she suddenly raise her head and asked, “Did you poison the steak?”
Aaron, “???”
Vanessa continued with no expression, “Why do you keep staring at me?”
The corners of Aaron’s lips twitched.
Sure enough, flirting with Lamb was harder than seeing Jesus.
Vanessa continued to take a few bites of the tender steak, put down the knife and fork again, and looked at Aaron.
“What’s wrong?”
“What exactly do you do for a living?” Vanessa had a serious face.
Aaron responded with an ambiguous answer, “Ordinary jobs that don’t earn much money.”
Vanessa quietly looked at Aaron and did not speak.
Aaron looked at her clear eyes and realized something. How could an ordinary person with an ordinary job know Scarlett?
But now Lamb can’t know his identity.
Aaron was in some kind of dilemma. After a while, he raised his head and looked at Vanessa, “Lamb, do you trust me?”
“No.”
Aaron, “…”
Vanessa stopped eating, simply kept staring at Aaron, waiting for him to confess.
Aaron said helplessly, “Lamb, I really do have a job, but, I can’t tell you now. But I will tell you what you want to know when the time comes, okay?”
Vanessa’s face was full of why-can’t-tell-me look.
Aaron thought about it and said, “Everyone has secrets, just like you. You have so many secrets of your own that you can’t tell me either, don’t you?”
“I will tell you eventually, okay?”
‘trust me.”
Meeting the man’s sincere and clear eyes, Vanessa finally nodded. But her brow furrowed again when she remembered Aaron’s comment that he didn’t make much money at his job.
No wonder he kept asking her for money, it turned out he really didn’t have any.
Vanessa lowered her head, continued to eat her unfinished steak, and said lightly, “You can work in my company.”
“What?”
Vanessa looked at him seriously, “Since you can’t make much money in that job, come work for my company.”
Aaron, “No, thank you…”
Vanessa, “Send me your resume.”
“No need, really…”
“Then I’ll send someone to check it out.”
Aaron had no choice, “Fine, I’ll go.”
Vanessa raised her lips and said, “Good boy.”
Aaron raised an eyebrow.
Why did he feel he was kept as her gigolo?
Next, Vanessa started to arrange work for Aaron.
But she did not expect this man was very difficult to deal with, and he wasn’t satisfied with a few jobs she arranged for him.
In the end, Vanessa gave Aaron a company.
“You can try to run this company,” Vanessa glanced at Aaron, “It’s okay to have losses.”
Once again, Aaron refused.
Vanessa felt an inexplicable emotion piling up in her chest. She wanted to hit someone so badly, and this feeling made her extremely uncomfortable.
“Then what the hell do you want?”
