The next day.
Vanessa went to school as usual.
She had just walked into the classroom when there was a sudden silence around. She frowned, walked to her seat, and sat down.
Yolande, sitting on her seat, had red eyes, and a trace of resentment flashed in the depths of her eyes. She suddenly slumped on the table, her shoulders shrugging as if she were crying.
Vanessa heard whispers as she opened her book at ease.
“She had forced a girl to jump and still got the nerve to show up here…”
“Yeah, Yolande, that poor girl…”
“Vanessa Simmons is a murderer!”
Someone shouted, and suddenly, a pencil box was thrown at Vanessa.
Immediately afterward, all kinds of pens and books came towards her.
And the girl who sat beside Yolande tugged at her sleeve and whispered, “Yolande, don’t be sad. Look at Vanessa!”
Yolande raised her head just in time to watch a water glass smash on Vanessa’s desk.
“Is this because of me?” Yolande’s face looked blank. Then, as if she remembered something, she hurriedly stood up to stop the classmates, “I’m not upset because of Vanessa, stop treating her like that!”
She even had tears in her eyes and looked very pitiful.
There was a moment of silence in the classroom.
Then a student said, “Yolande, don’t speak for her! She is nothing but a girl from a rich family. Don’t worry, we’re all on your side!”
“That’s right. If it weren’t for her dad, she”d just be a nobody.”
“I never liked her. She has that poker face wherever she goes like we all owe her money…”
Yolande was secretly delighted. She squinted at Vanessa from the corner of her eyes but found that Vanessa was still calm.
As if sensing Yolande’s gaze, Vanessa looked back with doubt flashing in her eyes.
She just didn’t understand why Yolande had such animosity towards her.
Yolande framed her, shouldn’t she be the one who should be angry?
Why did Yolande look so aggrieved?
At this time, the teacher walked in and her face became gloomy as she saw this scene.
“What are you all doing?”
The troublemakers scattered instantly.
After order was restored to the class, the teacher’s gaze fell on Vanessa and said gently,
“Vanessa, come with me.”
Immediately afterward, the teacher added, “And Yolande.”
All eyes were focused on the two.
Vanessa only said indifferently, “No, let’s just talk here.”
The teacher glanced at Vanessa with some headache and was about to say something when she heard Vanessa speak again.
“It’s about me and Yolande,” Vanessa said, “You don’t have to get involved.”
The teacher, “…”
Yolande despised her in her heart and then started to get excited.
If she could make this matter clear in public, how could Vanessa stay in school in the future?
Thinking of this, Yolande was so happy that she simply said, “I agree. If she has something to say, say it here.”
The teacher only had to invite the man who was waiting in the office.
Not long after, a man, who’s in a black suit and with a briefcase, walked in.
The man was wearing a pair of gold-rimmed glasses, his eyes glimmering a wise light under the thin lenses. His face was cold and stern, and his thin lips were slightly pursed as he walked to the front of the stage.
The classroom was quiet.
All eyes fell on the man.
The man stretched out his slender hand, opened the briefcase, and inserted the flash disk into the computer, then the large projection screen in the classroom slowly fell.
“Before I show you something, please allow me to introduce myself.”
“My name is Laurence Brown.”
