Aysel takes the blame

Book:Mr CEO, Don't Love Me Published:2024-6-2

The day soon turned into night and it was time to leave the office.
I walked to the underground garage and I reached out to the doorknob of the car when a hand suddenly appears in front of my eyes, blocking my view.
What?
“Stay still.”he whispered.
I quickly analysed the position we are in.
He is two inches away from me and his face it close, propping down to my neck.
I hit his cheek with my elbow and grasped his neck.
“Woah.. woah.. I accept defeat.”he raised his hands up in the air in surrender.
He was putting on a face cap so I couldn’t see him properly but his figure looks rather familiar.
He slapped my hand off from his neck when he saw that I’ve lost focus and push me softly to the pillar.
“Nice one, Aysel.”now his voice was clear.
He removed his cap and I sighed.
“Johnny!”I rested my head on the wall.
He chuckled before letting go of me.
“How come you’re here tho? Shouldn’t you be in Manila?”I brushed my hair backwards.
“I rushed down here after the concert. I’m a little hurt to see you’re disappointed.”
I grinned.
“Of course not. I love you here.”I pecked his cheeks.
“Speaking of Manila, someone came to me and said his name was Kelvin. He introduced himself as a friend of yours and a die hard fan of mine.”
An alarm shrilled in my head.
Kelvin already met with him?
I suddenly found it hard to breathe.
I hit my chest before coughing out.
“Aysel, what’s wrong?”john asked.
“I’m… I’m good.”I lied.
“I don’t believe that. Your face looks pale and…. let’s just go to the hospital.”he held my wrist.
“I’m fine.. for real.”I flashed him a smile.
He sighed. He doesn’t look convinced.
“Is he a bad friend?, Kelvin, I mean.”he touched my cheek.
“Sort of. Just make sure to keep a distance from him.”
He opened his mouth to say something, but I quickly spoke up.
“I will you tell you the reason later, when.. I’m ready.”
He pressed his lips together and scattered my hair playfully.
I smiled before doing the same to him.
“That reminds me. You’re yet to ask me out and you’re already acting like my boyfriend already.”I frowned.
“Oh, but I already gave you my answer.”
I sneered at him.
“You only said you love me. You should ask me out, officially.”I pouted.
“Okay… Aysel, be my woman… no no, you’re mine already..”he tickled me and I giggled then he swept me off the ground, carrying me in a bridal style towards his car.

Mara’s pov.
“So, you’re Mara?, the princess?”he asked.
“Yes.”I grinned.
Heaven knows the number of butterflies that travels around in my stomach.
He adjusted his headphone and tilted his head to the side and opens his mouth slightly.
Alright, that sent me crazy…
His cherry pink lips looks so kissable.
“How come I haven’t been seeing you around?”he turned to me.
“I…. don’t go out often. I’m more of an introvert. And, don’t you listen to the news?, you don’t read them also?.”
“I don’t do that.”he replied.
I mouthed an ‘oh’ with a nod.
We were both in the garden, sitting across each other, a table being in our middle.
“So, why did the Queen asked us to meet?”
Omg. He looks so unreal. I sent my eyes to the floor, fighting hard the urge to blush but that was not irresistible as I finally did.
“Hey.”he snapped his fingers in my face.
“You hear me?”I looked up at him.
“I can.”
“Why aren’t you replying then?”
“Because…..”
“Because….”
“Because… because I didn’t heard what you said”I wanted to say *because I like him* but I restricted myself. I should take things slowly with us.
He scoffed.
“Well, if you would excuse me, I have to leave. I have a girlfriend to attend to.”he said and a cute smile appeared on his lips.
I wasn’t moved by it because it wasn’t for me.
“It’s quite late also, you know.”he glanced at his wristwatch then stood up.
“What about all this?”I stared down at the food I’d the maid prepared for him.
“All this?, you eat them.”he winked and rushed out.
I pray she cheat on him, betray him and break his heart.
I held tightly to the table cloth as I bubbled in rage.

Lisa’s pov.
It’s been two days already and the guy’s line wasn’t going through anymore.
I wasn’t concern about his safety but mine.. I hope he doesn’t let loose his mouth if he had already been caught.
I grabbed my phone, heading upstairs.
I felt a flash of a shawdow and before I could turn around, a bullet had been released in my skull and I fell flat on the floor as I breathed my last.
*
Queen’s pov.
We stood by the cars as we waited for their arrival.
I just couldn’t wait to see her.
I heard the sound of an incoming car and I looked at the direction.
“They are here.”the guard said to me.
When he got to our front, he stopped the car and beamed the headlights on our faces.
He marched down from the car before he went to get my daughter.
I stood riveted on the spot when I saw.
Oh, my. I can’t believe this.
Tears of joy prickled down from my eyes.
After.. after twenty one years, I’m finally seeing her.
He walked her towards me and I ran to her side and gave her a motherly hug.
She was rather slim but beautiful and petite also.
I pulled out of the hug and touched her face with my trembling hand.
“My daughter.”I bursted into tears again.
She looks so innocent.
“Is she truly my mom?”she turned to the man that brought her.
He gave her a nod and she turned to me with a smile.
“M.. mom. Where have you been all these years? I’ve been treated unfairly and..”a tear rolled out of her eyes.
“I’m glad. I have a mom, I am someone’s daughter after all. I’m… grateful.. mom.. I.. mom..”she sobbed.
I hugged her tightly to myself and patted her back.
“I’m sorry for taking too long. Everything is gonna be okay now, I promise.”
After moments of interacting and crying in each other’s arms, it was time to head back.
I told one of the guards to move her to my car while I go have a word with the man that brought her.
“Thanks for bringing back my daughter.”I said to him.
We were sitting in his car.
“Just keep to your promise.”he responded.
“I will. Keep to your promise of finding the people that did this to my daughter.”

Kelvin’s pov.
I moved inside the dark room and his voice stopped me.
“How was it?”
“She bought our lie.”
“Hahahahahaha”he laughs.
“Juliet doesn’t fail.”he added.
“Our deal?”
“Still intact. She would send the funds for the project tomorrow.”
“Sounds good.”
“She asked for our promise to reveal who switched her daughter with another, who do you have in mind?”
“Aysel….”
“What?”I blurted.
“Aysel takes the blame, oi?”
