Kennedy found Alice before Rachel, George and the others, after which he took her straight to the hospital. When the doctor finished examining her, he told her,
-Excessive panic leads to fainting.
Kennedy was relieved to know that all was well.
But the doctor’s words immediately afterward lifted his heart again.
-You’re the patient’s husband, aren’t you?
Kennedy nodded silently.
The doctor suddenly showed a somewhat disgruntled expression.
-What kind of husband are you? How did you take care of your wife? Don’t you know she’s pregnant?
Pregnant?
This news came as a shock to Kennedy.
-What’s that look on your face? She’s almost three months and the baby is showing signs of miscarriage and you’re a husband who doesn’t know anything about it?
Husbands didn’t take care of their wives, something that went a long way in hospitals, but this doctor’s temper couldn’t help but tell Kennedy.
Kennedy was slow to come to her senses.
-I’m sorry, I know, thank you.
Her voice was deep and cold, and smelled different from before. The doctor narrowed his eyes and told him to check in.
The reason was that Alice’s body was too weak and she had to stay in the hospital for a while to recover and keep the baby alive.
Kennedy’s lips were pursed the entire time he was checking in, and his aura of indifference almost froze people so that others on the street automatically avoided him.
As he finished the paperwork, his cell phone rang and Kennedy looked at it, it was Alice’s number.
Alice’s phone was in Rachel’s possession, so this call must be from Rachel.
After a few moments of silence, Kennedy picked up the phone.

Raquel arrived at the hospital followed by Dylan, both with anxious faces, and from a distance she saw Kennedy standing against the wall.
Only when she got closer did Raquel realize that Kennedy’s aura was different than usual.
He was currently standing against the wall, but his lips were pursed in a straight line, his lower jaw was tense, and his eyes were covered by his eyelashes, although she can’t see his eyes clearly, she can sense from his breathing that Kennedy’s eyes must have been clouded at this moment.
Something was not right.
Rachel’s pace slowed.
In fact hearing him say the hospital Raquel sensed something wasn’t right, how could he send her to the hospital, and thus how to keep the pregnancy a secret?
Now Kennedy had no memory of the past, and he and Alice hadn’t been together long, and Alice’s baby was about to be three months old, so how could he think it was a misunderstanding?
So was Kennedy now aware?
What was he going to do? Rachel approached him with an uneasy, unsure heart.
Before she could say anything, Kennedy raised his eyes and his gaze rested on her face.
-Aunt Rachel, you are here.
The voice was cold and clear, neither joy nor anger could be heard.
Raquel wasn’t quite sure if Kennedy knew of Alice’s pregnancy, and only asked first about Alice.
-How is Alice?
-She’s unharmed,” Kennedy said indifferently:
Was it just shock? There were no injuries, so that should mean she was fine.
Rachel breathed a sigh of relief, and even Dylan, behind her, felt a little more relieved.
If something had really happened to Alice, then the Carlos family was really going to be in deep water, and Alice was really pregnant.
He hadn’t even known about this before.
Then, an eerie silence took over the scene as the three men had different thoughts.
***
Alice felt as if she had been asleep for a long time, so long that she tried to wake up but her eyelids were still heavy and she couldn’t keep them open. Someone was examining her, lifting her eyelids to see the whites of her eyes, and then several people said something to each other.
She could not hear clearly and her consciousness dulled again.
When she regained consciousness, silence was total around her.
Alice slowly opened her eyes, the sound of instruments in her ears, and turned her direction to see Kennedy sitting with his eyes closed.
As soon as the handsome features met her eyes, Alice thought of what had happened earlier.
Kennedy caught her when she thought she was going to fall, but she too suffered a great shock and then fainted.
Now she was in the hospital.
Hospital…
Alice abruptly remembered something and unconsciously put her hand to her lower belly, then sat up violently, but fell backwards with another dizzy spell in front of her eyes from the effort.
Kennedy, who had her eyes closed, opened them to see the scene and quickly went over to help her.
-Wake up?
His voice was hoarse, but with a confused.
Alice was slow to regain normalcy, grabbed Kennedy’s hand and opened her mouth to ask, -I….
She wanted to ask how the baby was, but when she met those deep, dark eyes, the words stopped, and she couldn’t utter a sound.
Kennedy looked at her with a torn expression, wanting to say something, and the words the doctor had told her echoed in her ears again.
She was pregnant…
Kennedy made a lump in her throat before saying.
-You’re all right, the doctor said you were just in shock, you’ll be fine as soon as you get better.
Alice unconsciously bit her lower lip and held back a moment before saying, -Didn’t he say anything else?
At her words, Kennedy raised her eyes and his gaze took hold of her.
The look was hard, but without any malice. It made Alice’s face turn a little paler.
-Anything else? -he asked, his warm breath hitting her face shallowly, his two hands coming up to her, placing them behind to cushion the pillow for her, and then simply catching her in his arms, his gaze turned to stare at her.
With that look and that posture, it was as if Alice had been held captive.
Alice wasn’t sure if he knew, and she was afraid she’d be exposed if she said so herself.
But if they were on good terms, he would know of her pregnancy sooner or later, and she kept it to herself at the time in the hope of sharing this joy with him when this man’s memory returned.
And now, would he be disappointed in her if he already knew?
Thinking about it, Alice bit her lower lip and decided to take a chance and tell him the truth.
To her, Kennedy was not that kind of person.
He would have given himself a chance to explain, even if it was up front, if she had said so. Perhaps it would have stimulated her memory.
-Actually…
