Chapter 872: I’m Worried About You

Book:Married To The Most Powerful Man Published:2024-5-1

Alice’s face turned pale as she hurried to turn off the water.
Alice bends down to touch Kennedy’s shoulder, and checks that he was cold all over; after so long under the cold water and the effects of the drug, he should be in agony now.
His clothes were heavy on his body, and Alice could only awkwardly reach down and unbutton him, removing his waterlogged coat.
It would not have been impossible if she had been allowed to use cold water, but she believed Kennedy would have had to soak until morning.
Now, in the dead of winter, he would have to freeze in the cold water until morning.
-The water-filled jacket was really heavy and Alice struggled to push on Kennedy’s shoulders.
Kennedy, who was leaning expressionlessly against the wall, finally opened his eyes and his gaze fell on her face.
-Didn’t I tell you not to come in?
His voice sounded as if it had little force and a slight trill.
Alice did not have to look up to feel that his gaze was now as deep as that of a wolf lurking in the night, and without looking him in the eye, she repeated the words he had just uttered.
But Kennedy still did not move, but slowly raised his hand and grasped her wrist, his voice hoarse, -Do you know how much I have endured?
Alice looked up in shock, -I know, I know, I know…..
I certainly knew.
He had already been drugged by others, so she naturally knew the pain he had to endure, but she knew exactly why he didn’t want her to suffer alone.
-Do you know? -Kennedy narrowed her eyes, a dangerous light in them, and with a shove of her hand, Alice collapsed uncontrollably onto her chest.
-If you knew, how dare you come in?
Alice blinked nervously a couple of times, her eyelashes fluttering continuously like two little fans, and she bit her lower lip before saying, -I’m worried about you.
When she finished, she lowered her eyes and pursed her lips as if she was making a big decision. After a long moment, she raised her head again and her eyes met his.
-I want to help you.
At those words, Kennedy breathed harder and looked at her through gritted teeth, -What did you say? Say it again.
His look was so intimidating, his eyes so fierce that they seemed ready to eat her alive, that Alice cringed unconsciously, but she had to dismiss those fears as she saw his thin, pale lips and stoic gaze and approached him.
-I know it’s hard for you, it’s winter, you’ll get sick if you soak in cold water all night.
Alice, wearing only a nightgown, had heeded Kennedy and put on a jacket, but the clothes she had worn during the kiss in Kennedy’s arms were already wet and now clung to her body, revealing the curves of her body.
He didn’t need to do anything, just standing in front of her was enough for the usual Kennedy to lose control.
Now, in this position, she said she wanted to help him.
How much stamina did he need to turn her down? Kennedy’s eyes were cloudy and shadowy, and he reached up to grasp the back of her neck, his voice low and muffled, -Are you sure?
Alice nodded without hesitation and Kennedy’s kiss fell.
It was very cold, very cold, and landed hard on her lips.
Only Kennedy quickly pulled away again, his gaze locked on her with a deadly stare, -If you say no now, there’s still a chance.
Alice pursed her red lips and reached up to unbutton it.
This behavior said it all.
The lump in Kennedy’s throat stirred as he watched her movements.
It looked as if he might not be able to escape tonight.
As Kennedy lifted Alice up, Alice wrapped her arms around his neck and whispered in the man’s ear, -Be careful.
Kennedy gently kissed her earlobe and replied softly, -Good.
The in the bathroom had disappeared, but the wet clothes of the two fell to the floor, replaced by two other figures in the dimly lit room between the soft blankets of the bed.
A warm yellow light over the bed illuminated the lovely room.
The moon hid in the clouds and, after a long while, the clouds faded away again.
After tonight, everything would become different.

Alice woke up very early.
When she opened her eyes, she saw an extra layer of gray outside the window, and looking at the time of day, it must have been a little after six o’clock.
Her whole body was now sore after a night of tossing and turning, Alice bit her lower lip before gently moving to remove the man’s large hand from around her waist and getting up to get dressed.
Then she looked back up at Kennedy.
Probably from the effects of the drug, he was sleeping soundly and Alice blinked, getting up and heading for the bathroom.
Throwing all the wet clothes she had left in the bathroom the night before into the washing machine, Alice felt something happen in her body.
She had to close the door to check, only to find blood between her legs.
There wasn’t much blood, but the scene was shocking enough.
Alice turned sharply pale and used a tampon, after which she opened the door and stepped out.
She was no more than three months pregnant, and although she had asked Kennedy to be careful the previous night, and he had heeded her, she had been unable to restrain herself in the heat of the moment.
What to do?
Alice was scared to death, but she couldn’t tell Kennedy.
Alice thought and came out of the bathroom to get her coat, just in time to see Raquel calling her on the phone.
Raquel …
Auntie.
As if clutching a life preserver, Alice hurried to grab her cell phone and ran to the balcony to answer the call.
-Aunt Raquel.
Raquel heard the anxiety in her tone on the other end and, instead of saying why she had come, asked, -What’s wrong? You sound so anxious, has something happened?
Alice bit her lower lip, she wanted to say something but found it hard to do so, but thinking about what had already happened, what else couldn’t she say?
In the end she could only say stiffly, -Aunt, Kennedy was drugged last night.
Hearing these words, Rachel’s heart fluttered, -What did you say?
She was so angry that she slammed her palm on the table at that very moment, -Why did this happen and what has happened now?
Alice bit her lower lip and whispered, -It’s all right now, don’t worry.
Aunt Rachel was relieved to hear that she was all right.
-That …
-Although he’s fine, I …. -Alice hesitated.
-Then what are you still waiting for, get dressed and I’ll take you to the hospital to get checked out.
Rachel, a former doctor, said so and Alice didn’t dare to wait any longer, and hung up the phone and went back to the living room to change her clothes.
