“So you’re really with our Nealagain now? I told you, our Neal is married! You …”
“He’s not happy!” Andrea Jones cut Christina Sanchez’s words off directly and decisively, “He’s your son, and you don’t know what he’s been like before?”
“You’re lecturing me now?”
“… I just want Neal Williams to have an easy time.”
“I’m Neal Williams’ mother… don’t I know what kind of life he’s leading?” Andrea Jones, if you hadn’t come back, Neal and Penny Brown would have been married by now.”
Andrea Jones doesn’t want to fight with Christina Sanchez. She’s Neal Williams’ mother! She loves Neal Williams and wants to love the house. But, she can really make her angry! A person who can even ignore her son’s happiness, even if she looks at Neal Williams again, she can’t love him.
Taking a deep breath, Andrea Jones said, “I’ve been gone for two years, they’ve been married for two years, have they made it right? You’re only fooling yourself when you say that!”
Christina Sanchez grunted, “Now you are a third party to destroy other people’s marriage, but also justified, Andrea Jones, you are no different from your mother, your mother is now gone, but still can make me and Zhigui to divorce, you are more shameless than one of these tactics!”
Andrea Jones was so angry that her body was shaking and her hand was holding the phone tightly as if she was going to shatter it.
“Mrs. Williams, my mother is gone, so please speak with respect! I don’t care what you say about me, but please leave my mother out of it!” Andrea Jones exhaled heavily, stared at the table, and said, “My mother is gone, but Uncle Jiang still wants to divorce you, why don’t you think about whether the reason is because of you?”
Christina Sanchez never expected Andrea Jones to say such a thing, and was so angry that her face turned blue and white at first.
“Okay, Andrea Jones, since we’ve come to this point, I’ll be honest with you – you want to be in our the Williams family, that’s impossible. Even if it has nothing to do with you, it has something to do with your mother! Just because you’re Charleen Davis’ daughter, there’s no way in hell I’m going to let my son marry you in this lifetime!”
Her husband had loved that woman for years, but her son had married her daughter, which was a direct slap in her face. How can Christina Sanchez choke on this anger?
Andrea Jones was holding her breath and feeling extraordinarily uncomfortable. She didn’t know what God had done wrong with her and Neal Williams, and why God always went out of his way to torment them like this.
“Mrs. Williams, I don’t really have to be in your the Williams family …” she took a deep breath, “but as long as Neal Williams still wants me I will not leave him!”
She is willing to stay as long as he wants!
Any more aggravation, she felt it was worth it.
Christina Sanchez sneered, “Yeah, I’d like to see how thick your skin can be! I’m telling you, there’s a difference between a married wife and an unmarried lover! You don’t have to wait for Neal Williams tonight, he’ll be spending it with Penny Brown – his wife!”
Deliberately, the word ‘wife’ was bitten very hard. It would be a lie to say that one is not jealous. That title has always been sacred. She still wants it!
“I’m not going to take your word for it again.” Andrea Jones wouldn’t fall for it again; she remembered the photo Christina Sanchez had sent her two years ago. “I’ll be here waiting for him until he comes back.”
“Fine! Then you can wait for someone else’s husband to come back!”
After hanging up the phone, Christina Sanchez calmly went back to the living room, where Bonnie Williams and Neal Williams were chatting around the house, talking a lot. Christina Sanchez stayed out of the way and just went about her business in the kitchen.
It was almost time to start the meal when Beck Williams came back. When she saw him, Christina Sanchez was overwhelmed with mixed emotions. It had been a long time, and he had lost weight again. She wanted to say this, but, for fear that he would find it offensive, she suppressed it. In the end, she only gave a dark look, said nothing, and went to the kitchen to prepare the birthday cake.
“Dad.” Bonnie Williams and Neal Williams greeted Beck Williams.
Beck Williams took the tea handed to him by the nanny and subconsciously glanced at the kitchen before turning his eyes to Neal Williams, “How’s the injury?”
“It’s not a problem, it’s all healed up now.” Neal Williams gave his arm a token shake, moving carefully without pulling the wound.
Bonnie Williams sat on the arm of the sofa where Beck Williams was sitting and half leaned over Beck Williams’ shoulder, smiling, “Dad, Andrea’s back, he’s healing faster than anything, so you don’t have to worry about it. ”
Beck Williams had known for a long time that Andrea Jones was back. Although she hadn’t met her directly, she had seen fresh bouquets of flowers on Charleen’s grave. Taking a sip of tea, Beck Williams looked across at her son with a serious face, “You were with her?”
“Hmm.”
“You know exactly what you are now.”
“Dad, they’re going to get a divorce.” Without waiting for Neal Williams to speak, Bonnie Williams had taken over. “Anyway, they’ll be able to file a complaint for dissolution after two years, and Neal has already hired a lawyer.”
“Does Andrea know about your marriage?” Beck Williams asked his son.
Neal Williams nodded again, “Well, yes.”
“And happy to just follow you around?”
“I’m the one who’s wronged her.” Neal Williams pursed his lips, and he felt nothing but guilt and heartache for Andrea Jones. Beck Williams sighed, seemingly thinking back to the old days, “It’s hard enough without a child, since you’ve already made up your mind, don’t hesitate to give her a hard time.”
Bonnie Williams breathed, “If only Mom and Grandparents were as supportive of Neal and Andrea as you are. I see that even if Neal and Penny Brown are divorced, it won’t be so easy to get in the door in the future.”
“Your mother is the king of the underworld, the old man and the old woman there, now at such an old age, still care so much?” Beck Williams looked at his son and patted him on the shoulder encouragingly, “Don’t be foolish to be kidnapped by those affection. neal, life is only so long, living a little bit of self is not a selfish thing.”
In his life, many regrets have been destined to be irrevocable. So, naturally, he does not want his son to follow his path.
“Sir, Miss, it’s open!” The nanny came over to call them.
Beck Williams got up first and Neal Williams and Bonnie Williams went over together. Christina Sanchez ordered the cake herself, so naturally she had to eat it. she gave Beck Williams a piece and Beck Williams took two token bites. She ladled another spoonful of chicken soup and handed it to him.
When Beck Williams didn’t move, Christina Sanchez said, “You’ve lost a lot of weight. You live out here alone, and you can’t eat as well as you do at home. Have some soup.”
Christina Sanchez looked at him with such eagerness that Bonnie Williams and Neal Williams looked at each other, but their hearts were not in it. “Dad, Mom has ladled it out to you, so even if you can’t drink it, drink a little bit. Mom’s right, you’ve lost weight.”
Beck Williams moved the spoon, but all knew that he was looking at the face of his daughter. Those things in the past, he may not be able to count today, but the biggest regret in this life is more or less their cause, every time he thinks about it, he still feels nagging.
Christina Sanchez was relieved to see Beck Williams move her chopsticks, and a smile finally appeared on her face. She was just a poor person who had spent her life hoping for her husband and children, and she wanted everything to be as she wanted it to be. However, her husband loves someone else, and he loves her for life. Even the son has to be involved with those people.
“Neal, this is your soup.” Christina Sanchez served a bowl to Neal Williams, a thick soup with quite a few ingredients and supplements, and Neal Williams recognized one or two of them.
He didn’t really like them, he always felt they were too mushy. However, early in the morning Christina Sanchez said that she had made them for him with her own hands. I’m afraid I can’t do without it.
Neal Williams reached for a spoon, and Bonnie Williams took a spoon and said she wanted to take a couple of bites, but Christina Sanchez tapped her hand with the tip of her chopsticks.
“Mom, are you still biased?”
“That’s for Neal, you’re not allowed to touch it.”
“What soup is so precious that I’m not allowed to touch it?” Bonnie Williams was unhappy and tried to try it with a spoon, but Christina Sanchez stopped her with a glare. The nanny brought out two bowls of papaya and snow clams from the kitchen, and Christina Sanchez personally brought one bowl to Bonnie Williams, “Mom has done all the math, one for each of us, and she won’t favor one over the other.”
That’s true. Four people, each one different. bonnie Williams looked at his mother with some emotion in his heart. For so many years, my mother had been a devoted wife in this family. Take care of dad, big and small things are not a problem. When the daughter-in-law is no words, respectful to the two elders, what holiday will not forget them, sometimes a little more heart than the father. Not to mention when the mother, to bring up their siblings, the worry is naturally not less.
Only, in terms of feelings, acerbic some, drilled the bull’s-eye. After living for more than 50 years, she still hasn’t learned to let go …
Neal Williams took a sip of the soup, which was thick but not too bad, and ladled another sip while asking, “Mom, what is this soup?”
“You just drink it, mom will not harm you. What are you afraid of?” Christina Sanchez adds another dish to Beck Williams’ bowl as if it were natural, and Beck Williams gives her a sidelong glance.
“Mom, you are so secretive. What is it that I can’t drink?” Bonnie Williams was curious.
“It’s not for you girls to drink, so don’t get involved.” Williams Beck looked askance at his daughter, “Your mother gave it to your brother to tonic his body.”
“Tonic body?” Bonnie Williams understood at once and suddenly burst out laughing, the snow clam in her mouth hadn’t been swallowed and almost sprayed on Neal Williams’ face. “Neal, I didn’t expect you to need this kind of stuff at your young age.”
When Bonnie Williams made a scene, Neal Williams couldn’t drink any more. Who knows if the soup contains bullwhip, lamb kidney or other things?
“You stop it Neal, and eat your food properly.” Christina Sanchez slapped her daughter in a bad mood and turned to Neal Williams and said, “Neal, this is what Mom has been boiling all day, don’t waste it.”
Neal Williams guessed that his mother had given him this stew for the baby, but all he could think of was Andrea Jones, and he was already happy with himself, and if he drank this, shouldn’t he be worried about some little woman tonight?
“Neal, what’s wrong with you? Drink up.” Christina Sanchez called out again.
Bonnie Williams put her lips to Neal Williams’ ear, “Mom is giving you and Andrea a boost, so drink up and try to get her a little grandchild out tonight, and see if she has any more comments.”
Neal Williams drank up and Christina Sanchez smiled with delight.
Bonnie Williams was picked up by Ingram Gray and was supposed to take Neal Williams with her, but Christina Sanchez said there was a broken light bulb in the upstairs room that needed to be changed. This kind of thing, naturally, can not be excused.
