This little girl, stubborn look, all make him feel so cute.
But he wouldn’t say that the only reason he didn’t come forward immediately was because – he was waiting for her to refuse herself!
“Wipe your tears and come with me.” He handed her a square towel.
She hesitates, bites her lip, and for a while, she reaches out before taking it, but still stands still.
Without giving her a chance to refuse, Neal Williams took her hand and walked away. The heat of that palm wrapped over and sent a thrill through her heart.
“Mr. Williams…” her fingers instinctively shrank, only to be wrapped tighter around him. Thinking about what she had just experienced, she was not without alarm, “Where exactly are you taking me?”
Neal Williams was silent as he led her straight from the dark hallway into the elevator.
The bright light hit her so hard that she squinted a little uncomfortably.
Dropping her eyes, only then did she notice her hand, still held tightly in his palm. The image of two hands holding each other, so that she immediately reddened her ears, tentatively jerked her hand, wining and whispering: “You … first let go.”
Neal Williams pressed the number of the top floor, heard her words, then lowered his eyes towards her. The eyes are deep, the light and shadow floating, those eyes are so complex that they seem to be covered with a veil of ambiguity, looking at her heart pounding.
Even the palms of each other’s hands are burning hot and uncomfortable.
Andrea Jones struggled again before Neal Williams slowly let go of her hand.
The temperature of each other, in the palm gradually disappeared. Heart, for a moment all become empty, but, each other are not aware of.
In the narrow space, you can clearly hear each other’s breathing.
Andrea Jones turned her face away from him, and Neal Williams just looked up at the flashing numbers on the LEDs.
Neither of them spoke again until the elevator reached the top floor.
Neal Williams led the way out and turned around, seeing her still hesitantly leaning against the elevator, he pursed his lips, “Come here.”
She knew she couldn’t get too close to him, but it was as if she was compelled, and her legs were even more disobedient.
When he returned to his senses, he had already followed him obediently.
The heavy glass door was pushed open and he led her to the open terrace on the top floor.
The evening breeze was so cold that she cowered. However, the shimmering night scene downstairs was gorgeous and psychedelic, accompanied by the evening breeze, which instantly removed most of the gloom from her heart.
In an instant, she fell in love with this place, with the feeling of looking down from high above. She was so absorbed in watching that her whole body was lying on the terrace.
“Be careful.” Neal Williams warned, silently draping his jacket over her shoulders.
As the warmth hit her, she suddenly remembered the jacket Lewis Brown had left behind, and the tip of her nose instantly sank again.
“Why did you bring me here?” Sucking in her nose, she asked.
Glancing at her, Neal Williams pockets his hands in his pockets. And then, dropping his eyes far into the night, before answering, “Soon the fireworks will be visible from here.”
“Really?”
Instead of Neal Williams answering her question, there was one ‘pop’ ‘pop’ sound after another.
A gorgeous fireworks, suddenly burst through the night sky, blooming from afar, bright and colorful.
The sky, instantly dyed into a rainbow of seven colors.
Andrea Jones raised her little face in surprise, watching with fascination, but her clear pupils were filled with more and more tears.
She watched the fireworks as Neal Williams watched her intently.
The tranquil, soft side face is more and more moving under the dreamy light and shadow.
“Andrea Jones,” he called out to her.
“Hmm?” Only then did she turn her face with intent. His eyes did not avert and locked on her with a searing gaze. With his right hand spread out and hanging in the air, he proposed, “That dance you just finished, do you want to continue?”
Heart, beating wildly.
She was stunned for a moment.
Xu is compelled by the brilliant fireworks behind him, the slender hand slowly raised. Still in mid-air, has been his slightly domineering grip, wrapped tight.
Warmth hits your waist.
Having just experienced the Lewis Brown incident, her fears had not subsided and her body tensed uncontrollably. The man’s strong body was so close that she almost instinctively tried to back away.
The hot palm held her firmly by the back of the waist, blocking her space to retreat.
“No retreat!”
“But I …” she was uncomfortable, uncomfortable, and uneasy!
How could he not understand?
The voice was much softer, “Relax, I won’t hurt you …”
Andrea Jones looked at him in disbelief, and his reassuring gaze gradually settled her.
Under the fireworks, the man’s handsome face is so charming that she can’t move her eyes.
He was like a prince from a fairy tale, high above the world, perfect, and she seemed to live in a different world.
However, at this moment, it is close to her like this. So close that even the breath is sprayed on the ear. Hot, confusing …
A loss of concentration, forget the pace. Accidentally stepped on him, she was embarrassed, then came back to her senses, red face, low apology, “I’m sorry …”
He lost his smile and deliberately asked, “What are you looking at?”
“…” She closed her lips and only dared to shake her head, not even daring to look at him again with her eyes.
His smile deepened as Neal Williams took her around the waist and moved closer to her. His breath was filled with her soft scent, a wisp that wrapped around all his senses, and it gave him a sense of comfort he had never felt before.
Under the brilliant fireworks, men and women dance with the wind. Snow-white satin fluttering in the wind, like that winter quiet through the snowflakes, tangled.
Like a light dance, but more like a strong embrace.
At that moment, it was as if a beautiful wisteria had sprung up in her heart, suddenly and slowly tickling her heart …
…
Lewis Brown walked slightly drunkenly through the ballroom and out the door, and Olivia Scott caught a glimpse of it.
She immediately dropped the glass in her hand and started to follow her out.
…
In the car, Lewis Brown did not immediately start the car, just tired and chagrined leaned back in the driver’s seat. In his mind, back and forth is Penny Brown and Andrea Jones in the overlap.
Damn it!
What the hell did he do? ! Andrea Jones was so innocent, how could he hurt her?
Just thinking, suddenly a cool breeze poured in. He opened his eyes suspiciously, and at a glance, he saw a flamboyant figure.
Sitting up straight, he frowned slightly, “We’ve met?”
Some strange, but it seems to have seen somewhere before.
Olivia Scott ruffled her fluffy hair, “I’m Andrea’s colleague, I met her just two days ago in front of the company. Mr. Ruan forgot?”
Lewis Brown inclined his head in thought for a moment before nodding his head, “Yes, come to think of it. But is this …?”
He expressed his disbelief.
“Can you give me a ride? It’s too cold outside.” Olivia Scott said cringing.
Lewis Brown couldn’t help but look at her twice more.
The temperature outside is getting colder and colder, but if guests really want to leave, the hotel will help call a taxi beforehand. So, this excuse of hers is too pedestrian.
“Where to?” He was gentlemanly enough not to poke.
“Well …” Olivia Scott thought for a moment, “Go to ‘Moonshadow’, the clean bar on the north side of town. ”
It wasn’t a side trip, but Lewis Brown didn’t refuse. The car, sliding into the bustling street.
Instead of going back to that empty house, it would be better to find something for yourself to do.
This way, at least that shadow in the mind can fade a little.
The pain in the heart will not be as obvious.
“Mr. Ruan doesn’t seem to be in a good mood?” Olivia Scott hugged herself and struck up a conversation with him.
Giving her a sideways glance, the gentleman turned on the car’s heater and responded only detachedly, “It’s okay.”
This small gesture made Olivia Scott look at him twice. The lights outside the window swept by, and in the dim light, his features became more and more three-dimensional, although distant, but could not cover the warmth.
Olivia Scott’s heart inexplicably palpitated, such a feeling, called her feel embarrassed, busy to turn away from the eyes to go.
“Did you … have a fight with Andrea?” She struggled to find a topic.
Lewis Brown didn’t return her words, but simply asked rhetorically, “Do you know each other well?”
“Hmm.” She nodded, “We’re not simply colleagues, we’ve been old classmates for several years.”
“Is that so?” Lewis Brown turned his face and forced a smile, “Now that you’re working for the same company, you’re kindred spirits.”
“No.” Olivia Scott quietly glanced at him and spoke tentatively, “I know all those embarrassing things about Andrea as a child.”
“Oh.” He was distracted and didn’t follow up.
This left Olivia Scott at a loss for words. After a pause, she continued to herself, “Don’t you want to hear about her past?”
“What’s past is past.”
He only returned her a simple remark, clearly lacking in interest. Tonight, he was not interested in anything.
Olivia Scott is a bit stifled.
He has made it so clear that if he goes on, he will look nosy and insensitive. And, under the circumstances, if she were to talk about her past rape, Lewis Brown would definitely think she was chewing the fat.
Looking at his side, Olivia Scott said with no small amount of jealousy, “Andrea is so lucky to have found a boyfriend like you.”
Is it?
However, today … he hurt her …
It was a jerk, but, admittedly, he was kissing her like she was Penny Brown!
The night, gradually deepening.
The feast of fireworks in the city is also gradually coming to an end. The entire rooftop of the building is darkened, leaving only the stars of the night scene.
The wind was blowing, and even with his jacket on, Andrea Jones, who was wearing only her dress, was cowering in the cold.
Neal Williams shook her hand, and the prickly coolness made him frown slightly.
Stopping the dance, he suggested, “The night is getting cooler, let’s go downstairs?”
“Hmm.” She nodded, glanced at him, and moved her hand quietly away from his. Taking a slight step back, Neal Williams’ large palm that had landed on her waist hesitated and slid down with it.
The fireworks extravaganza ends, and their dream ends.
Giving her a deep stare, Neal Williams took the lead and turned around, “Let’s go, I guess it’s all over downstairs.”
She didn’t answer, just walked quietly alongside him. His jacket was still on his shoulders, but it was no longer his body heat.
It appears, cool and refreshing.
Removing her jacket, Andrea Jones handed the clothes over, “Mr. Williams, your clothes.”
He didn’t reach for it, just gazed at her, “Isn’t it cold? Put it on.”
“Or not.” She obstinately refused to take back her hand, lifting her eyes to look at him, her eyes slightly dark, “Lest there be others who see the misunderstanding.”
Misunderstanding?
Afraid Lewis Brown will get the wrong idea? Yes, too.
After a moment of silence, Neal Williams drew his shirt back. It was not put on, but just casually rested on the arm.
Following that, sinking steps towards the door that left. The look, suddenly became a little cold.
Andrea Jones couldn’t figure out what was wrong with him, but he was always like that – hot and cold.
Wearing high heels, I had to walk fast to keep up with his big steps. When I reached the door, I saw him pause there and did not move again.
“What’s wrong?” She asked curiously.
He turned around and leaned his form against the door panel.
“Locked.” The reply was crisp and clear.
“What?” She gaped.
Neal Williams wrenched the door handle, but it wouldn’t budge.
Apparently, it was the hotel that locked the door!
“Do you have your phone on you?” He asked.
“No. Stored my handbag at the bar while I was dancing.” Andrea Jones shakes her head.
Instead of panicking, Neal Williams laughed low, “Then it looks like we’re really going to have to stay on the roof tonight.”
“You don’t have your phone either?”
