The man’s eyebrows were razor-sharp; under his wolf-like eyes was a high nose bridge, and his thin lips were curled into a sneer. Although he was sitting in a wheelchair, he had an aggressive and intimidating aura around him, making him hard to approach.
‘So this is the rumored disgusting man?’
Charlotte was completely stunned, and only after the atmosphere tensed did she finally sit up on the bed while avoiding his eyes. Then she spoke in a guilty tone.
“O-Of course I’m Christina Wilson…”
“Heh.” Kennedy’s eyes grew icier as he pulled an envelope from his pocket and threw it at Charlotte.
She picked it up and opened it carefully, only to find that full of photos and information about her sister, Christina Wilson.
‘So, he’s known my true identity from the very beginning?’
Charlotte’s grip on the envelope tightened while she bit her lower lip. She glanced at Kennedy calmly with her shiny, black, impenetrable eyes.
“Did the Wilson family think they could fool me just because I’m a cripple?”
Charlotte lowered her eyes and responded just above a whisper. “I’m also a daughter of the Wilson family’s-”
“The daughter who recently got divorced? Does the Wilson family think of the Moore family as a recycling station?” Kennedy’s eyes turned cold again.
His sarcastic and straightforward words reminded her of the terrifying night a month before. She bit her lower lip so hard it bled, trying to use the pain to keep herself calm and composed.
However, before she could calm down, the man lashed out icily again. “I’ll give you five minutes to get out of the Moore residence.”
“What?” Charlotte looked up, and her jet-black eyes met his.
If they chased her out, the Moore family would hold grudges against the Wilson family indefinitely. Her entire family was counting on her. So, even if she was reluctant to stay, she couldn’t just stand and watch her family go up in flames because she couldn’t handle herself.
After calming down, Charlotte plucked up the courage to look directly at the man in front of her. “I know your parents arranged this marriage. You don’t care who you marry. Otherwise, you wouldn’t have agreed to this marriage. Rather than marrying again, you should let me stay. I promise I won’t get involved in your life or be an inconvenience in any way.”
As she spoke, Charlotte raised her hands in defense to prove her innocence. Her eyes filled with determination, but caution was written all over her face, as if she was afraid he wouldn’t accept her proposal.
‘She looks like…’ Kennedy narrowed his eyes as he looked at her.
After a moment, he curled his thin lips into a smile. “Do you really want to stay that badly?”
Charlotte looked at his grin, and alarm bells rang in her mind as her instincts told her something was off, but she nodded in response.
The corner of Kennedy’s lips curled up even more contemptuously. It wasn’t the first time he’d encountered a greedy woman like her, who was willing to replace their sister and marry into the Moore family in hopes of prosperity and wealth.
His gaze fixed on the person sitting on the bed as he spoke. “I will give you a chance to stay…”
As soon as the light of joy flashed across Charlotte’s eyes, the evil man in front of her finished his sentence. “… but you have to please me first.”
Stunned, Charlotte stared at the man beside the bed in disbelief.
“What’s the matter? Don’t you understand my words?” Kennedy sneered. “Don’t tell me that a divorced woman doesn’t know how to please a man.”
Understanding what he was meaning, Charlotte clenched her hands so hard her nails dug into her palms.
While she had been married to Aldrich for two years, he’d always used the excuse he was busy to avoid sleeping with her. Then, one night a little over a month ago, she caught Aldrich and a gorgeous pregnant woman messing around on their marital bed.
Her nightmares started from the moment she…
“Speak!” Her silence made Kennedy lose his patience. He reached out his hand to tear away the quilt she was holding in front of her, revealing the fair woman’s body…
“Ah!”
In a panic, Charlotte grabbed the quilt to cover her body before wrapping herself up as if she were a peasant in some far-off land.
Though Kennedy only got a glimpse of Charlotte’s alluring beauty, his eyes darkened even more, and his bitter voice sounded hoarse as he was filled with lust. He then chuckled. “You suck at acting innocent.” With an icy look in his eyes, he continued. “If you can’t please me, then get the hell out of here!” With that, he pushed the wheelchair and turned away.
“Wait a minute!”
Looking at Kennedy’s indifferent and ruthless back, Charlotte was so anxious she scrambled out of bed, dragging the quilt she was still wrapped in behind her.
She shouted at his back. “You can’t do it, anyway! Why are you torturing me like this? Isn’t it better for us to live in peace? It also saves you the trouble of remarrying.”
Her words caused Kennedy to pause as his wheelchair rolled to a stop. His body was statuesque, but his head turned slightly toward her. He then threw her a stern look from the corner of his eye as his devilish voice slithered toward her. “Who says I can’t do it?”
Kennedy’s eyes were raging flames like a dormant beast in the dark night.
It felt as if he would pounce and rip her throat out if she said another word.
‘What’s going on?’ How could a clearly disabled man be emanating such a powerful aura?
Kennedy had already turned his wheelchair around and was slowly approaching her, his eyes as dark as night.
Seeing his sudden change of demeanor, Charlotte, who was wrapped in a quilt, took two steps back subconsciously.
Before long, Kennedy, who was in his wheelchair, rolled to a stop in front of her. His hand darted out and clasped her thin, fair wrist while snatching the quilt away from her body with the other hand.
“Ah!” Charlotte immediately fell into his lap.
“What did you say just now?” Kennedy said through his cold lips, his sharp eyes fixated on her.
“It’s rumored y-you’re impotent…” In a panic, Charlotte tried to cover her body as her face flushed and she tried to wiggle out of his grasp. “Let me go!”
His sudden approach caused Charlotte to panic as his hot, masculine aura surrounded her. How vigorous, domineering, and dangerous! The feeling… reminded Charlotte of the man in the car. The aura from his body was as oppressive as the person’s lap she was currently sitting on.
Charlotte’s face turned pale. She would never forget that shameful night.
A month ago, after witnessing her husband’s betrayal, she was loitering on the streets dejectedly when she was caught and dragged into a car by a man. After that, everything went out of control.
She’d struggled and screamed, but all her resistance was futile under his giant, hot palms.
She was used and brought within an inch of her life like a rag doll.
Just like that, he stole her first time from her on a hopeless night. What was worse, she didn’t even get to see who the man was…
“So, you’re going to extreme lengths to become my wife, eh?”
The man’s voice in her ear caused her to snap back to reality, and her body stiffened as she found his manhood was pressing against her excitedly.
She’d experienced such a traumatizing event only a month ago, so how could she not know what this was about?
Suddenly, Charlotte’s forehead was drenched in sweat. Covering her chest with one hand while pushing against him with the other, she said, “Let me go first.”
His current lustful state is too dangerous!
“Heh.” Kennedy sneered, “Why are you so nervous? Is this your first time?”
Charlotte glared at him stubbornly and said, “Don’t push me to my limit!”
“For the last time, you can stay only if you please me.”
All color drained from Charlotte’s face as her lips trembled.
Looking into his resolute eyes, Charlotte finally mustered up the courage and tried her best to shake away the feeling of shame as she revealed her body to the man in front of her. She then reached out her trembling hands and unbuttoned his shirt.
One button, two buttons…
Suddenly, a wave of nausea swept over her.
“Blech!” Charlotte retched uncontrollably.
As soon as she finished, a sharp pain permeated her jaw; he grabbed her chin with one hand with a deathly aura emanating from his body.
“Am I really that disgusting?”
“It’s not that…”
Because of either the pain or her anxiety, Charlotte was tearing up.
I’ve already gotten this far. I can’t fail now! I must successfully stay in the Moore residence.
“I was just-argh!”
Before she could explain herself, Kennedy pushed her away. “I’m even more disgusted by bitches like you who try to act innocent!”
Without looking at Charlotte, who’d fallen to the ground, Kennedy turned around and wheeled himself away.
Seeing he’d left, Charlotte bit her lower lip gently.
He didn’t ask me to leave the Moore residence, so this means that I can stay, right?
She once again wrapped herself in the quilt and returned to the bed.
No one chased her out of the house after ten minutes had passed, and she breathed a sigh of relief. It seemed she’d succeeded.
