Rebecca responded warmly, “You’ve always been beautiful, but today, you look absolutely stunning in this dress. It suits you perfectly as if it was tailor-made for you.”
Estelle chuckled at the compliment and pointed at the dress, saying, “This is a ready-to-wear dress from Chanel. It’s not custom-made for me.”
Rebecca continued to praise Estelle’s fashion sense, saying, “You really have an eye for fashion. Everything you’re wearing matches perfectly. Could you teach me some fashion tips sometime?”
“No problem, but…”
“But what?” Rebecca was confused, looking at Estelle.
“But the outfit Miss Hudson is wearing now was not chosen by herself, but by Cristofer,” Justin suddenly said before Estelle could say anything more.
“How do you know that? Did Cristofer tell you?” Rebecca asked.
“No. But Cristofer has always bought Miss Hudson clothes since they knew each other. No one knows better than him what style of clothes looks best on Miss Hudson.”
With a disapproving look, Rebecca immediately retorted, “He’s not the only one knowing Estelle well in this world. Mr. Mysterious also…”
Before Rebecca could finish her words, Estelle immediately pulled her hand, shaking her head and motioning Rebecca not to continue. Rebecca then pressed her lips and stopped talking.
Estelle knew that Rebecca wanted to say that Mr. Mysterious also knew what style of clothes looked best on her very well. Back then, it was Mr. Mysterious who chose the outfit she wore at Melody’s birthday party, and Rebecca knew about that.
With a faint smile, Justin said, “Miss Hudson, have you heard a saying that sometimes, an encounter is actually a reunion after a long separation.”
“Mr. Roberts, I don’t understand what you mean,” Estelle snapped and deeply frowned.
“You will understand it one day in the future,” Justin replied meaningfully.
Hearing his words, Rebecca was displeased. “I hate it when others keep me in suspense. What on earth are you talking about? Can you stop beating around the bush?”
Justin shrugged and said helplessly, “I can’t tell Miss Hudson what I was talking about. She had better discover the overall picture of this matter by herself.”
Biting her lower lips gently, Estelle hesitated for a while and asked, “Mr. Roberts, may I ask you a question?”
“Sure. Go ahead.”
“I… I know I shouldn’t be trapped in the past. But it takes time to let go of it. Um… I know you are Mr. Mysterious’ friend. Is he living a good life now?”
With mixed feelings, Justin said, “I… I’m not sure.”
“Haven’t you seen him recently?” Estelle asked.
“I met him once before you came back from abroad. He was not in a good condition then,” Justin briefly explained.
Estelle nodded gently and said, “How is he now? I just hope he can live well.”
Justin chuckled, “Miss Hudson, no matter what happens, you can always believe that you are Mr. Mysterious’ one and only. This will never change. He did not come to you, not because he is angry with you or because he doesn’t want to be with you. He has his own reason.”
“Then will he come back to me in the future?” Estelle asked and was a little excited.
“I don’t know. But Miss Hudson, as his friend, I have a word for you.”
“What is it?”
“Cherish the present.”
“What do you mean?” Estelle asked in confusion.
Adjusting his glasses, Justin said, “Miss Hudson, cherish the people and things around you and enjoy your current life. Mr. Mysterious also hopes you can live well.”
Hearing that, Rebecca folded her arms and snorted. “Oh, I see. You want Estelle to forgive Cristofer and be back with him, right? Forget the thought. I won’t let Estelle go back to that bad guy!”
With a helpless look, Justin rubbed his temples and said, “It’s up to Miss Hudson whether she will reconcile with Cristofer. Don’t make a decision for her, okay?”
“No. Estelle is too softhearted. Suppose that the bad guy apologizes to Estelle with a pretending, pitiful look and uses the children to put moral pressure on her and ask her to go back to him. In that case, Estelle will definitely forgive him and agree to reconcile with him. I won’t allow this to happen. I’ll protect Estelle from being hurt by your bad friend again.”
As they chatted, Gary approached with Luke’s help, both of them wearing joyful smiles, especially Gary.
Gary playfully remarked, “This young lady is quite eloquent, Justin. You better not argue with her in the future.”
Justin, seeing Gary approaching, rushed over and linked arms with him. He jokingly replied, “I wouldn’t dare argue with her. She’s the love of my life.”
Gary chuckled warmly and said, “It’s wonderful to see you younger folks so happy. Speaking of which, Cristofer and Estelle already have three kids. You and Cristofer are around the same age. Have you considered having children?”
Justin smiled wryly, “Grandpa Gary, my family nags me about marriage and kids every day. It’s becoming quite a headache. Let’s drop the topic. By the way, where’s Cristofer?”
Luke quickly interrupted with a smile, pointing to the door and saying, “Here he comes!”
In a black suit and a black shirt, Cristofer came over with a light purple plaid tie in his hand. He walked straight to Estelle and handed her the tie, saying, “I can’t tie it well. Help me tie it, will you?”
The next moment, Estelle found that everyone around was looking at her. Rebecca’s big eyes widened in astonishment. When she was about to say something, Justin pulled her into his arms and kissed her to stop her from speaking.
“Mm… Mm…” Rebecca struggled hard, but it was in vain. Carrying her in his arms, Justin directly took her to another area of the villa.
Seeing this, Estelle was stunned. In her impression, ‘Justin used to be gentle and reserved.’ She didn’t expect him to do such a shocking thing in public, regardless of the presence of others.
“People will change,” Cristofer said, knowing what she was thinking. His voice pulled Estelle’s mind back to the present.
Putting the tie into her hand, he lowered his head, leaned over, and whispered to her, “Tie the necktie a little higher to cover the band-aid on my neck.”
‘It turned out that you asked me to tie the necktie for you because of this,’ Estelle thought. Then she reached out her hand, skillfully wrapped the tie around his neck, tied a beautiful Windsor knot, and drew it up to his Adam’s apple. But then she found that it looked strange that she drew up the necktie too high.
