Thinking about this, Estelle couldn’t help smiling.
“You are smiling so happy. What’s so funny?” Derrick’s voice came from the driver’s seat.
“Well, nothing,” Estelle said as her smile faded slowly.
“Have you found a suitable liver donor?” Derrick swiftly shifted the topic.
“Yes, I’ve found one.”
“Wow, you are so efficient.”
“Someone had helped me; otherwise, I might not have made it so soon,” Estelle said softly.
Derrick nodded without asking further questions. When they reached the airport, Christina’s flight had just landed. After waiting a few minutes in the international arrival hall, Estelle spotted a stewardess approaching with a suitcase, and Christina was seated on it.
“Mom!” Christina waved at Estelle with excitement.
Estelle hurried over and lifted her daughter up. “Christina, were you scared on the plane?” she asked, her concern evident.
Christina reassured her, saying, “No, Mom. This lady took good care of me during the flight.”
With a warm smile, Estelle genuinely thanked the stewardess. “Thank you so much, Miss.”
After saying goodbye to the stewardess, Christina noticed Derrick, who was standing behind Estelle. Looking at Derrick with a hint of hostility in her eyes, she asked Estelle, “Mom, who is he?”
“This is Uncle Derrick. He’s an excellent doctor,” Estelle said, pinching her daughter’s cheek.
“Mom, is that your new husband?”
Hearing this, Estelle felt embarrassed and quickly explained, “No. He’s just my friend.”
“Okay. Mom, the teachers in the kindergarten said that Mom should be with Dad forever,” Christina said seriously. When she spoke, she emphasized the word “Dad”.
Hearing this, Estelle glanced at her daughter. Due to her congenital liver condition, Christina appeared thinner and smaller than most children, with some visible veins under her pale skin.
Derrick asked gently, “Miss Hudson, is she your daughter too?”
Estelle replied, “Yes, this is my youngest daughter, Christina.”
Derrick complimented while smiling at Christina, “She has a lovely name and looks adorable.”
Christina, being straightforward, chimed in, “Uncle Derrick, you don’t have to compliment me. My Mom won’t be with you.”
“Christina.” Estelle frowned at her daughter, motioning her not to talk in such an impolite manner.
“Mom, I can see that Uncle Derrick likes you, but you don’t like him. So, I was making it clear to him for you,” Christina pouted her tiny lips.
Derrick was surprised by Christina’s words. “Miss Hudson, your daughter is quite articulate. She doesn’t seem to take after you in that regard.”
Christina chuckled and explained, “I take after my Dad! Many people have said I don’t resemble my Mom much because I take after my Dad in both personality and appearance.”
Raising an eyebrow, Derrick glanced at Estelle and said with a laugh, “It seems she’s inherited Mr. Hans’ temperament as well.”
With an embarrassed smile, Estelle changed the subject, “Well, Christina must be hungry after the long flight. Let’s go have lunch.”
“Okay.”
Christina, who was not in good health and got tired easily, had been excited and talked a lot since just now. By the time they arrived at the restaurant, she had been asleep.
As Estelle focused all her attention on Christina, she didn’t notice the doorstep and nearly stumbled when she followed Derrick into the restaurant while carrying Christina. Thankfully, Derrick quickly reached out, held her hand, and helped her regain her balance.
“Miss Hudson, are you okay?” he asked.
“I’m fine. I didn’t see the doorstep just now. Thank you, Dr. Carrey. Let’s go inside,” Estelle replied.
Not far away, in a car, a camera clicked several times as a man took numerous pictures of the scene. He looked at the photos on his camera screen and sneered, “Tsk-tsk, we finally found this guy, Jerry. Just as Estelle said, he’s nobody. His car is a cheap Lexus, and he doesn’t seem to have much money.”
The other man in the car, named Jerry, leaned over and commented, “Let me see the photos, Carl. Well, he does look quite ordinary. But his profile reminds me of Cristofer.”
“Maybe Estelle’s aesthetic standard is fixed, and she prefers men of this type?” Carl laughed.
“But Cristofer is obviously much better than this man. What does this ordinary man have worthy of Estelle’s love?”
“Haha. Maybe it’s because he is better than Cristofer in a sexual capacity?”
“Hahaha!”
“We finally finished the task Mr. Klein assigned. Mr. Klein said he would teach him a lesson if he found the helmet man. This man beat Mr. Klein twice and made him seriously injured. Mr. Klein won’t spare him,” Carl said as he looked into the picture.
“Haha, this guy is so unlucky. Mr. Klein can’t afford to offend Cristofer and Tim, so he can only vent his anger on this guy. Eh? Carl, didn’t you take the photo of his left hand? If there is no wound in his left hand, then he is not the helmet man!”
Hearing this, Carl snatched the camera and looked at the photo carefully. Then he frowned tightly and said, “Damn it! I didn’t take a photo of his left hand. Now we can only wait until they come out and then take some photos of his left hand.”
“But I’ve sent Mr. Klein the photos…” Jerry exclaimed.
Beep! Beep! A message suddenly came.
“Mr. Klein replied to my message!” he said loudly.
“What did he say?” Carl asked and looked at Jerry’s phone screen.
Jerry then clicked on the voice message from Jimmy immediately. The next moment, they heard Jimmy’s unmusical voice.
“It’s hard to tell whether he’s the damn helmet man. But it doesn’t matter. You two listen carefully and do as I say…”

There were few guests in the restaurant at noon. To enjoy the lunch in a good atmosphere, Derrick considerately reserved a private box yesterday.
“The roast lamb chop and Chicken Soup with Coconut Milk here are tasty. Would you like to have a try?” he asked Estelle.
Not caring about what they would eat at all, Estelle said, “Thanks. You may order the dishes. Don’t order too much, or we will not be able to finish the food.”
Derrick nodded, then beckoned the waiter over and ordered three specialties. After that, he said to Estelle while smiling, “I didn’t expect you to be so frugal. After all, you used to be Mrs. Hans, the wife of the richest man in Hadale.”
“It’s a virtue to be frugal. My being frugal has nothing to do with who I am.”
“You’re right.”
Estelle had been holding Christina in her arms for quite some time. Although Christina wasn’t heavy, Estelle’s arms began to ache from fatigue. She gently adjusted her posture to make Christina more comfortable and then flexed her sore and numb left wrist.
