Due to Estelle’s injury and the heavy topic surrounding Cristofer’s brother, the once-happy atmosphere in the dining room had dissipated.
Observing Cristofer’s worried expression and Gary’s somber demeanor, Alexander felt that it was no longer appropriate to stay. He stood up and said, “Cristofer, thank you for your hospitality and the delicious dinner. I’m going to take my leave now. By the way, I’ve decided to cooperate with you. We can sign the contract on Monday.”
Cristofer also rose from his seat and responded gently, “Okay, I wish us a successful partnership.”
“Likewise,” Alexander replied with a smile as he shook hands with Cristofer. “Oh, one more thing, I had a feeling that I’d met Estelle somewhere. She looks familiar.”
“Have you ever been to Randaw?”
“No, never.”
“Then you might have encountered her in Lanster. She pursued jewelry design studies there.”
Hearing this, Alexander lightly tapped his forehead and exclaimed, “No wonder she seemed so familiar. She’s the designer of the Star Rings, isn’t she?”
“Yes.”
“I can’t believe your wife is the designer of the Star Rings! Why didn’t you mention this earlier? If I had known that, I would have partnered with you a long time ago.”
“You know about the Star Ring?” Cristofer asked, clearly surprised.
“Of course! It’s famous in the jewelry design industry,” Alexander replied enthusiastically. “Did Estelle design those rings specifically for your wedding?”
Cristofer hesitated, unsure how to respond. After all, he and Estelle hadn’t had a traditional wedding. Changing the subject, he grabbed the car keys and suggested, “Let me drive you back to the hotel.”
“No, thank you. It’s better for you to stay here and take care of Star,” Belle interjected. “I’ll drive Alexander back.” With that, they bid farewell to Cristofer, and as they left, Alexander continued to speak enthusiastically with Belle, his face lit up with excitement and joy.
After watching them leave, Cristofer returned to the dining room. “Grandpa, I’m going to check Estelle. Enjoy your dinner.”
“Alright. Go ahead,” Gary replied before returning his attention to the delicious dishes Estelle had prepared. “The food Star cooked is truly delightful. I’m enjoying it.”

It took Estelle a long time to calm herself down in the guest room. Suddenly, her phone rang.
‘It is so late now. Who would call me at this hour?’ Estelle wondered when seeing the unfamiliar caller ID.
“Hello?”
“Miss Hudson, I saw you on TV today. Congratulations! It seems that you will start a new relationship soon.”
“Mr. Lopez, is that you?” Estelle asked.
“Yes, it’s me. I’m glad that you listened to me and moved on, Miss Hudson. It’s good for both of us. Dr. Carrey seems like a nice man. Wish you happiness.”
Estelle frowned and asked, “You called me this late just to say these words to me?”
Nelson swiftly answered, “Of course not. You’ve kept your promise, and so have I. I’ve found a suitable donor for that child.”
Estelle’s excitement was evident as she quickly stood up. “Really? Who is it? Is the person in Hadale? How can I contact him?”
Nelson tried to temper her enthusiasm, saying, “Calm down. I have indeed found a potential donor, but it’s not certain whether he will agree to donate his liver.”
Estelle’s voice grew serious as she asked, “What can be done to persuade him?”
Nelson replied, “Well, you should contact him and discuss it in person. I’ll send you his address and phone number later. Miss Hudson, I’ve fulfilled my promise to you. I hope you’ll keep your word as well.”
After a moment’s hesitation, Estelle asked, “Mr. Lopez, there’s something I’m curious about.”
Nelson responded sharply, “What is it?”
Estelle continued, “Since I’ve promised you I won’t be with Mr. Mysterious anymore, why do you want me to leave Hadale?”
Nelson’s tone was stern as he snapped, “I told you it’s because I don’t want to see you again!”
Estelle persisted, saying, “I don’t believe that’s the real reason. Mr. Lopez, the only logical explanation is that you don’t want Mr. Mysterious to see me again. He’s in Hadale as well, isn’t he?”
Nelson appeared annoyed as he responded, “Miss Hudson, I’ve clearly underestimated you. You’re not as simple as he portrayed you. You’re like a sly fox, always knowing how to control to get what you want. Quite a cunning person, I must say.”
Estelle confronted Nelson directly, saying, “Mr. Lopez, I’m not a fox, but it seems you are. Have you forgotten your previous actions? To separate me from him, you even orchestrated a car accident, causing him severe injuries, and then forced me to write that letter. You are not only cunning but also immoral.”
Unbothered by her words, Nelson declared, “I don’t care about your opinion of me. What’s important is that he doesn’t want to see you. Yes, he’s alive and well. But as long as you stay in Hadale, I’m concerned he might cross paths with you. I’ve known him for many years, and I’m well aware of how tender-hearted he is. I won’t let him make the same mistake again.”
Estelle attempted to continue, “But he-”
Her words were cut short by a sudden knock at the door, followed by Cristofer’s voice from outside. “Star, may I come in?”
Hearing this, Nelson expressed his surprise, “You’re with Cristofer now?”
Estelle explained, “His grandfather wanted to see the children, so I brought them to visit him.”
“Miss Hudson, I may be old, but I’m not senile. Don’t try to manipulate me.”
Estelle responded earnestly, “I have no intention of manipulating you. I’ll do as you wish and give up on Mr. Mysterious. I’m satisfied just knowing that he’s alive. My main concern now is finding a suitable donor to save Christina.”
Nelson responded in a cold voice, saying, “She isn’t your biological child, and her parents aren’t your friends. Why are you so determined to save her?”
“Since I’ve adopted her, I am responsible for her. Mr. Lopez, I have my reasons, and they are none of your concerns. I don’t need to explain everything to you,” Estelle asserted.
“Suit yourself,” Nelson retorted, “Leave Hadale as soon as possible. If you break your promise and attempt to find Mr. Mysterious, don’t blame me for being ruthless. I can easily harm not only him but also your two children. Miss Hudson, you’re an intelligent person. I believe you know what you should do.”
After these words, he hung up the phone.
Moments later, Estelle received a message containing the contact information of the suitable donor. The address indicated that the man was in Hadale. Estelle was stunned when she saw the man’s name.
‘The man who can save Christina is York? What a coincidence!’
