Estelle was dumbfounded when hearing Yvonne sing the song, thinking, ‘I’ve only let you listen to this song once. How did you memorize the lyrics, Yvonne?’
“Yvonne, did you learn this song?” she asked.
Yvonne shook her head and said, “No. You played this song for me before.”
“But you’ve only listened to it once. How did you memorize its lyrics?”
“I don’t know. I listened to the song and then memorized the lyrics,” Yvonne smiled softly.
“Then do you know what the lyrics mean?”
Yvonne nodded and said with a sweet smile, “Yes. It means you miss Dad. I miss Dad too. When he comes back, I will sing this song for him!”

Somehow, Cristofer was always terribly upset these days.
Last night, he was sleepless. He wanted to focus on his work but could not calm himself down. Finally, he sat in front of the window and watched the rain all night.
Then he became more upset.
The next morning, he went to the cemetery to visit his parents’ graves.
“Dad, I miss you so much!!!”
The innocent voice from nearby caught him off guard, causing his heart to skip a beat.
Eva, who had also overheard, let out a heavy sigh and commented, “It’s truly unfortunate for the kids. They’ve had to bear the loss of their father at such a tender age.”
Cristofer cast a sharp look in her direction.
Startled by his gaze, Eva quickly clammed up, refraining from saying anything further.
“Is she getting better?” Cristofer inquired in a hushed tone.
Cristofer’s low voice caused Eva to misinterpret his question. Believing he was asking about her own health, she responded, “Absolutely. Look at me, Mr. Hans. I’m fully recovered. I could even run a marathon!”
“I was inquiring about HER condition, not yours,” Cristofer clarified.
Eva realized her misunderstanding and corrected herself, “I went to the Grand Hotel of Hadale City this morning with some health products to visit Miss Hudson, but she wasn’t there. Mrs. Hudson was the only one in the room, and she mentioned that Miss Hudson was doing much better.”
Cristofer pressed, “Where did she go?”
“Miss Hudson took the children to visit Mr. Hudson. I wonder why Mr. Hudson and his family live separately in two countries… Mr. Hans, where are you headed?”
Before she finished her words, Cristofer ran to George’s gravestone.
It had been rainy these days, and the air was heavy, moist, and sultry.
From afar, he saw three vague figures in front of George’s gravestone and could hear Yvonne singing in a sweet voice.
“Dad!” Yvonne suddenly screamed and pointed in a direction.
Hearing this, Yohan was surprised and immediately looked in the direction that she pointed. Then he saw a vague tall figure in the distance.
“Dad! Dad is back!!!”
The two children ran toward the figure, pleasantly surprised and excited.
However, when they got closer to the figure, Yohan found that the tall man was not their father but the administrator of the cemetery.
Looking at his receding figure, Yvonne asked in a low voice, “Yohan, is he our Dad?”
With his voice full of disappointment, Yohan shook his head and said, “No, our Dad is very tall and handsome. He is always dressed in black, and he is very powerful!”
“I have never met him,” Yvonne said, also feeling disappointed.
“You’ll get the chance to meet him. When you were a baby, Dad always held you in his arms. You’ll see him when he comes back.”
Cristofer, noticing them from a distance, slowed his pace. After a brief pause, he started walking toward them.
In the next moment, Yvonne and Yohan, who were about to return to George’s gravestone, turned around and spotted him.
Continentally, Cristofer, tall and handsome as always, was dressed in black today.
“Dad?”
Yohan hesitated and then walked a few steps toward Cristofer, taking in every detail of his appearance.
Yohan burst into tears the next moment and rushed into Cristofer’s arms, hugging him tightly. His voice muffled against Cristofer’s shoulder, he said, “Dad, why did you come back so late? I missed you so much!”
Observing the scene, Yvonne also dashed toward Cristofer. However, in her hurry down the steps, she missed a step.
Estelle noticed Yvonne was about to fall, but she couldn’t reach her in time to prevent the fall.
Luckily, Cristofer had quick reflexes and agility. Still holding Yohan, he swiftly moved forward and caught Yvonne’s arm, stopping her from tumbling.
Yvonne was startled and teary-eyed, looking at Cristofer with a mix of surprise and nervousness. She seemed at a loss for words.
Yohan told her that their Dad had gone to beat the bad guys when she was a baby. And it was the first time that she had seen her Dad ever since she could remember.
Cristofer was also a little nervous as he hadn’t seen his children for three years.
Looking at his children, he realized they had changed a lot.
Yohan had grown taller and looked more like him. And Yvonne had grown into a little girl with a chubby face. She wore a pink gauze dress, and her hair was coiled into two buns tied with two cute bows.
At this moment, Yvonne was looking at Cristofer curiously with her head tilted.
Cristofer slowly squatted and carefully put Yohan down.
Squatting down, he adjusted his height to be closer to Yvonne’s level, trying to make her feel more at ease.
“Hi, Yvonne.”
Blinking her big eyes, Yvonne waved her hand and said shyly, “Hi…”
“Do you know who I am?” Cristofer asked.
Yvonne nodded and then shook her head.
“I’m your Dad,” Cristofer said gently and opened his arms.
Still not sure if Cristofer was her Dad, Yvonne turned to look at Yohan with a hint of hesitancy in her eyes.
Seeing Yohan nod excitedly at her, she opened her mouth slowly and called Cristofer in a low voice, “… Dad.”
“Can I hug you?” Cristofer asked as the rims of his eyes turned red.
Yvonne then walked toward him and put her little arms around his neck.
Hugging her gently, Cristofer could smell the sweet scent of her body.
When Estelle trotted over, she was surprised by what she saw.
Cristofer, kneeling on one knee, was holding Yvonne in his arms in an extremely gentle way as if holding a priceless treasure. He looked both nervous and excited, and his whole body was trembling.
And Yohan, who always showed his feelings directly, held Cristofer from behind and sobbed in a low voice.
“Dad,” Yohan called Cristofer in a choked voice.
“Yes?”
