“Don’t want to know who she is?” Cristofer asked.
“No, it’s not necessary for me to know her identity. As long as she makes you happy, that’s enough. Besides, if she is the right person for you, Grandpa Gary will undoubtedly hold her in high regard as well.”
Cristofer nodded in agreement, a smile gracing his face. “I’m certain that Grandpa will genuinely like her,” he affirmed.
“That’s good,” Estelle smiled.
“Will you take the kids to visit Grandpa this weekend?” Cristofer inquired.
“Yes, I have made a promise to Grandpa Gary to visit him this weekend,” Estelle confirmed. “By the way, I will be relocating abroad soon. After I leave, I won’t be able to bring the children to visit Grandpa Gary every week. However, if he misses the children, you can arrange video calls with them whenever needed.”
After a brief pause, she added, “You can also reach out to them at any time.”
Hearing this, Cristofer said as his smile broadened, “Okay. See you this weekend.”
“Will you also go back to Hans’ Residence this weekend?”
“Yes, I’m going to visit Grandpa. And… I want to spend more time with the children. After all, I won’t have many chances to stay with them in the future,” Cristofer uttered.
Estelle expressed, “Once you remarry, you may have more children. As for Yohan and Yvonne, rest assured, I will take good care of them. Their status as your children will always remain unchanged. I won’t allow our divorce to impact your relationship with them.”
“Okay.”
“Then… I wish you happiness.”
“The same with you, Estelle. Wish you a happy life in the future.”
With his eyes full of gentleness and affection, Cristofer watched Estelle’s receding figure, thinking, ‘Estelle, for me, happiness is to be with you forever.’
“Mr. Hans,” Vincent came over and called him.
Cristofer snapped back to reality, only then realizing that he had been standing there absentmindedly for quite some time.
He looked away from Estelle and asked, “What’s wrong?”
“You need to go to the hospital to change the dressing now. Last night, you were in a hurry to go back to Rose Garden, and this morning you have been busy. Changing the dressing bears no delay. The doctor said that the wound was deep. And if it festers, your forehead will be scarred.”
Cristofer gently touched his forehead and felt a sharp pain than when he had initially been injured.
Frowning slightly, he had a bad feeling. “Okay. Let’s go.”

In the hospital, after removing the bandage from Cristofer’s forehead, the doctor spoke with a serious tone. “Mr. Hans, the wound has become infected. I’ve repeatedly advised you to change the dressing regularly without any delay. You should have come to the hospital last night. Unfortunately, now the wound has worsened.”
Upon hearing this, Vincent asked with a concerned expression, “Will there be a scar on his forehead?”
“It’s highly probable,” the doctor replied.
“I couldn’t care less,” Cristofer responded nonchalantly.
The doctor sighed helplessly and said, “Why didn’t you come last night? I understand that you’re a busy boss, always occupied with work. But no matter how busy you are, taking care of your health is essential.”
The doctor then proceeded to carefully clean Cristofer’s wound using cotton swabs and hydrogen peroxide, applied medication, and finally bandaged the wound.
Afterward, Vincent approached and covered Cristofer’s bandage with hair shadow powder.
“Mr. Hans, you look much better,” the doctor commented while tidying up the medical supplies. “And your mental state seems completely different now. Have there been any recent happy events in your life?”
With a softened expression, Cristofer spoke gently, “I’m getting married.”
“Wow, which lucky girl is going to marry you?” the doctor inquired.
“She’s the one I’ve loved for over ten years. I consider myself fortunate that she has agreed to marry me,” Cristofer replied.
The doctor nodded and asked, “I see. Did your forehead get injured because of her?”
“No, it was an accident,” Cristofer clarified.
“I can tell that you love her deeply,” the doctor remarked, unable to contain a smile.
“Yes,” Cristofer replied, taking a deep breath. “I love her deeply.”
“Do you remember when I told you that only what caused your mental distress could heal you? When you first sought treatment at the hospital, your mental state was poor and unstable. Despite taking various medications over the past six years, none of them have proven effective for you. It seems that the girl you’re going to marry is the only and best remedy to cure you. If only you had realized it sooner.”
Cristofer nodded and said, “Yes, if only I had realized it sooner…”
‘If only I had understood it earlier and hadn’t misinterpreted Estelle, none of the events of the past six years would have occurred, and she wouldn’t have divorced me.’
“Anyway, congratulations!”
“Thank you.”
“You should go to the psychiatry department for a thorough evaluation. If you have fully recovered, you can discontinue taking medication. Considering your stomach issues, it’s best to avoid medications that may irritate the stomach lining.”
“Actually, I have already stopped taking all the medication,” Cristofer revealed.
Upon hearing this, the doctor was surprised. “You’ve been able to fall asleep every day after stopping the sleeping pills?”
“In the first few days, I had trouble sleeping. But now, as long as she is by my side, I can sleep soundly,” Cristofer explained.
The doctor shook his head with a smile and marveled, “Love truly has incredible power! Amazing.”
Cristofer also smiled and expressed his gratitude, saying, “Yes, love is the best remedy. Thank you, Doctor. I must be on my way now.”
“Don’t forget to invite me to your wedding!” the doctor exclaimed, feeling genuinely happy for Cristofer.
“No problem,” Cristofer replied before leaving with Vincent.
After exiting the doctor’s office, Vincent spoke up, “Mr. Hans, Ron has been stationed outside Miss Hudson’s company. Miss Hudson is safe now. You can have peace of mind.”
“Estelle’s safety is important. Instruct Ron to remain vigilant. Also, make sure someone keeps a close watch on Uncle Nelson,” Cristofer instructed.
Just as he finished speaking, he turned his head and noticed a familiar figure at the end of the hallway.
Nelson, seated in a wheelchair, was slowly making his way toward them, accompanied by several individuals.
Dressed in a suit, his hair neatly groomed, Nelson’s face revealed no signs of emotion.
“Mr. Hans, he’s here for you. What should we do now?” Vincent asked Cristofer.
“Just go with the flow. If he’s willing to let me go, I’ll give him whatever he wants,” Cristofer replied in a hushed tone.
Soon, Nelson stopped in front of them.
