Chapter 239: I’m Not Inferior To Him

Time flew by, and when Estelle finally completed her work, she realized she had been working throughout the night. It was already six o’clock in the morning, and the late October morning brought a slight chill to the air.
As Estelle rose from her seat to close the window, her gaze fell upon a familiar figure standing downstairs.
The man, dressed in black attire, was reclining on a motorcycle seat, with one foot planted firmly on the ground to maintain balance. His thin clothing suggested that he felt the cold as he tightly folded his arms for warmth.
Is that Mr. Mysterious… or Cristofer?
Estelle felt a little numb after working the whole night and couldn’t tell whether the man she saw was Mr. Mysterious or Cristofer.
Maybe it was because there was chemistry between the two of them that when she looked downstairs, the man opened his eyes and saw her. Then he got off the motorcycle, looked up at Estelle with a smile, and called her name.
“Good morning, Estelle.”
‘It’s Mr. Mysterious. Only Mr. Mysterious will call my name in such a gentle way.’
Then she ran downstairs in a hurry, even forgetting to put on her coat.
Today, Mr. Mysterious looked quite different from before.
Previously, whenever she saw him, he was either in a suit or in a white shirt and suit pants, looking handsome and noble. But today, he wore a black T-shirt and black jeans, looking younger and reminding Estelle of Cristofer’s image when he was in high school.
“Good morning, Estelle,” Mr. Mysterious said in a husky voice that was familiar to her.
Estelle walked over and asked, “Why didn’t you go into the house? It’s cold outside.”
Mr. Mysterious put his arm around her waist and joked with a smile, “I was afraid that I would come across your mother again, and she would hand a box of condoms to me.”
Upon hearing his words, Estelle lightly pushed his chest and said, “Did you stay here all night? You could have called me, and I would have come downstairs to meet you. By the way, why didn’t you drive a car here? It would have been warmer to stay inside the car.”
“I have to go to work later. It’s more convenient to ride a motorcycle to work than driving a car in the morning rush hour.”
“I didn’t know you could ride a motorcycle,” Estelle remarked, her voice tinged with surprise.
Mr. Mysterious raised his eyebrows and said meaningfully, “Some annoying guy gave up the motorcycle race just to see you before. Whenever I thought of this, I felt jealous. I want you to see that I can also ride a motorcycle well. I’m not inferior to him.”
Hearing Mr. Mysterious’ words, Estelle couldn’t help smiling and said, “Sir, I feel that the two of us have become childish recently.”
“It’s not a bad thing to be childish. The best time in one’s life is when he or she can be childish and carefree. When one grows up and is not childish anymore, troubles and problems will come one after another. Therefore, it can be said that childishness is the most precious thing in one’s life,” Mr. Mysterious said slowly and gently. His words could always give Estelle peace of mind.
With a smile, Estelle nodded and uttered, “I see. I’ll stay here with you before you go to work. I can’t bear to watch you suffer from coldness alone here.”
Pulling Estelle into his arms, Mr. Mysterious caressed her hair and said, “Get on the motorcycle.”
“Are we going somewhere?”
“Yes.”
“Where are we going?”
“You’ll know when we get there.”
Before Estelle could say anything else, Mr. Mysterious bent over, carried her in his arms, and let her sit on the pillion.
Then he straddled the motorcycle, put Estelle’s arms around his waist, and then held the handles.
“Hold me tightly,” he said in a gentle voice.
“Okay,” Estelle wrapped her arms around his waist, holding him tightly and resting her head on his back.
With a roar of the engine, the black motorcycle rushed forward like a swift and vigorous panther.
As the wind blew, Estelle’s long hair flew back, and the hemline of her dress waved, making her look more beautiful.
Estelle looked most beautiful as a graceful beauty with a good appearance and remarkable temperament when she wore a floral dress. At this moment, she was wearing a white dress with light purple floral patterns.
Looking at her dress from the rearview mirror, Cristofer couldn’t help smiling.
The dress was bought by him many years ago. But at that time, Estelle thought that it was too loose and couldn’t fit her perfect figure, so she stored it in her wardrobe and never wore it.
He didn’t expect that it would be worn as a nightdress by her now.
“Estelle.” Mr. Mysterious called her name gently.
However, his sound was almost drowned in the howling wind, and Estelle could only vaguely hear his voice.
“Sir, did you call me?” she raised her voice and asked.
“Yes. Estelle, I have something to tell you,” Mr. Mysterious mentioned while his eyes were on the road.
Estelle still couldn’t hear clearly what he was talking about.
“Sir, I can’t hear you,” she explained.
She felt that Mr. Mysterious was a little unusual today. He was always gentle and steady no matter what he did. But today, he rode a motorcycle and whizzed down the road at a high speed.
There were few cars on the road in the morning. The motorcycle kept accelerating, and the wind was roaring in her ears in a louder voice.
Estelle wanted to tell Mr. Mysterious to slow down, but as soon as she opened her mouth, the hair whipping around her face flew in it, so she forcefully shut her mouth.
Soon, the strong wind even made her unable to open her eyes. She held Mr. Mysterious’ waist more tightly, fearing she would be blown off the motorcycle if she loosened her grip.
She knew he was talking to her from the slight vibration of his chest.
Estelle tried to listen to him carefully but still couldn’t hear his words clearly.
Later, the road became rough and bumpy, and Mr. Mysterious gradually slowed down.
When Estelle slowly opened her eyes, she was scared by what she saw.
At this moment, the motorcycle was bumping along a narrow twisting mountain road, and the edge of the cliff was less than a foot away from them.
Estelle broke out in a cold sweat and immediately closed her eyes again. And at the same time, she held Mr. Mysterious more tightly in fear.
Feeling that Estelle was trembling slightly, Cristofer grabbed her hand and asked, “You are still afraid of heights?”
