Sunshine Primary School.
At the door of the second-grade classroom, Vincent and Ana heard the cry coming from inside. The familiar voice made them feel sad and distressed. They immediately marched into the classroom.
When the teachers saw Carrie’s parents had come, they immediately made way for them.
“Mom, dad.”
Carrie, crying, saw her parents arrive and jumped into their arms.
“Carrie, what’s going on?” Ana squatted down and asked with concern in her eyes.
Carrie shook her head slightly, but did not answer. She looked as though she was in a very low state of spirits, but was secretly pleased. She was not ill, and she was only trying to use her insanity for her parents to be together.
“Miss Ward, I’ll take my daughter home first and ask her for a half-day off.” Vincent gently rubbed Carrie’s head and said to Nadia.
“Ok, ok, take the child to have a check-up. I will give her a make-up lesson some other day.”
“Thank you!”
Three people walked on the City S street. The handsome man and beautiful woman as well as the lovely baby had attracted many people’s attentions.
“Carrie, I’ll take you to the hospital to have a look.”
Ana picked up Carrie and looked at Vincent. “I’m taking half a day off today to take the kid to the hospital.”
“I’ll go with you.”
“No.”
“I’m her father. Why can’t I go with you?”
“I wouldn’t let you come with us.”
In other aspects, Ana would compromise with Vincent, but when it comes to Carrie, she wouldn’t give in.
That was why she signed the 80 million performance contract without hesitation.
Carrie was unhappy to see them arguing again. She pursed her lips and whispered, “Mom, Dad, I’m fine now, but I want to go to the amusement park. My classmates would go to the amusement park on Saturday with mum and Dad, but I haven’t been there once.”
When Ana and Vincent heard that, their hearts twisted.
Over the years, Carrie had never had the same happy childhood as other children. She didn’t have a complete family, and coupled with Ana’s moodiness, her favorite hobby was probably collecting bottles and selling them for money.
“Mom and Dad will go with you.”
Ana held Carrie in her arms, her bright eyes turning red, and she felt guilty for not giving her child a happy childhood.
“Come on.” Vincent glumly lit a cigarette.
“Dad, don’t smoke.”
Vincent shook his hand, snuffed out the cigarette, and gave Carrie a smile.
Merry-go-round!
Roller coaster.
The ferris wheel!
The bumper cars.
All kinds of games made Carrie excited, and Vincent and Ana took Carrie to play them one by one.
Now Vincent and Ana were not like the boss and employee. Carrie was like a chain that tied them together, but also like a hub that linked them together.
At the beginning, Vincent deliberately pretended to be serious, but he gradually relaxed in the laughter of the children. Ana was having fun, forgetting about the two hundred million of contract. For the sake of the child, she pretended to have a good relationship with Vincent.
At dusk, the game was over. They sat on the bench for a short rest.
“Oh my God, it is a perfect image.”
Suddenly, a girl with long hair wearing black glasses appeared in front of them, looking surprised.
“Sir, Miss, little girl, may I ask you for a favor?”
