“I won’t give it to you.” Ana looked stubborn.
“Oh, are you going to take the black card? I tell you, it wasn’t easy for me to raise you up, and…”
Before Alannah finished speaking, Ana directly handed the black card to Vincent and dragged Alannah onto the BMW sports car. After Alannah sat on the sports car, she immediately cheered up and forgot about the black card.
“Hey, Ana, you got a car? Vincent bought you a car? It’s a nice car, but it is a bit small.”
“Mom, tomorrow we’ll get a new car, the kind that can contain a lot of people.”
Vincent immediately came to the car and said.
“Look, how thoughtful Vincent is!”
Alannah suddenly thought of something and said,”Vincent, let’s buy the nanny car and you can find a driver and take your father- in- law and me on a trip.”
“No problem.” Vincent agreed.
“Mom, it is enough? It’s a company car. What does it have to do with Vincent?”
Alannah didn’t listen to Ana, pointing at Vincent, she shouted,”Vincent, give me your card. Give me your card.”
“Here.”
“No.” Ana stepped the gas and ran off with Alannah.
Looking at the fast leaving BMW sports car, Vincent, with a black card, looked helpless.
Ana’s got a tough temper.
However, when Vincent thought of Alannah calling him son-in-law, a satisfied smile appeared on his face. As long as Alannah helped him, he had the confidence to take Ana.
“Mom, it is enough! The black card belongs to Vincent. What does it have to do with us?” Ana said helplessly as she drove.
Alannah curled her mouth and kept stroking the BMW sports car,”How does it have nothing to do with us? Vincent is my son-in-law, and you have a child. Why can’t I call him son-in-law? Besides, I have a good relationship with Vincent. Could you control it?”
“You’re not that into money, are you?” Ana was on the verge of madness.
Alannah calmed down immediately and looked at Ana straightforwardly,”I put up with all kinds of hardships to raise you, not for you to educate me. Let me tell you Ana, if I like money, I would have run away with the rich old man next door. Why should I stay at home and serve you, Carrie and Honda?”
Suddenly Ana was silent.
Yes.
If Alannah liked money, she wouldn’t have stayed in the shattered family.
Over the years, Alannah acted as a mother and father, serving both lame Honda and Carrie.
Alannah liked money. That way, she could keep her family together.
Alannah didn’t like money, because she didn’t give up her family for money.
Over the years, Alannah worked with all walks of life. From wealthy women to peddlers, she fought with them with her wits. For extra money, she walked 40 kilometers to pick up her groceries.
And then she would go home in the truck pulling vegetables. She got frozen just to save five of the bus fees to support the family.
After all these years, it wasn’t easy for her to support the family.
“Yes. I love money. How can we eat without money? How can Carries have milk without money? Now you’re driving a sports car and you start to dislike me, don’t you?” Alannah’s eyes turned red, looking out of the window.
“Mom, I’m sorry.” Ana stopped the car and hugged Alannah in her arms.
“I like money, but I like you better, too.” Alannah cried,”Vincent has hurt you, but he could give you a happy life. I want my daughter to be happy, too. After all these years, I don’t want you to suffer anymore.”
