Zoe recovers faster than everyone’s expected, around ten days, she can walk already. While, her moving space is only in her room, due to her weakness body. Everyone’s happy for her. Wendy comes to treat her today, she prepares many snacks for Wendy to eat. She sits on her bed, with a white dress, and a pink plum blossom coat with silver edge. She looks better these days, her face turns more natural.
“Doctor Wen, I want to thank you for saving me. Without you, I would still in deep sleep.” Zoe thanks with grateful. Wendy smiles and feels her pulse, “I am a doctor, it’s my duty to save people. By the way, the majesty pays my well, hah.” Suddenly, Zoe becomes serious, “May I ask, how you knew my brother?” Wendy replies, “Hmm, we are just friends!” Zoe looks up, feeling happy, “Then can we be friends too?”
Wendy nods, “Of course, you are like my little sister!” She likes Zoe’s innocent. It’s not easy to see an innocent girl here, during this complicated world. “Really?” Zoe laughs happily like a kid. Wendy nods, “I’m very glad to have a beautiful sister. It’s my luck!” Zoe bends down in front of Wendy, “Sister, very pleasure to meet you!” Wendy pulls her up in a rush, “We are sisters! No need to be modest! Soon, when you recover, we can hang out together.”
Zoe sighs, “I want to go out so badly! Sister, and I want to eat so many delicious foods! I want a big piece of pork! Brother Zhuge always feeds me porridge and soup. So bored!” Wendy laughs, “Silly, you will recover soon. It’s good for you to take some light food as porridge or something now. She takes her chopsticks to have some white sugar cakes. “Is it delicious? I will eat a lot after several days!” Wendy nods, she begins to adore this girl now.
“I used to dream to have a sister, now it came true. I feel so good!!” Zoe cheers for herself. Sung hears from outside, replies coldly, “Well, you have a sister now. Then what about me? Don’t you like your brother anymore?” Zoe teases back, “No, I will forget anyone except you, my brother! You are the best!” She looks at Wendy, “By the way, who knows what I would call you later, my sister? Or my auntie!” Her teasing make Sung very please, “Wow, why you think so much in your small head? If I want to marry, then our Doctor Wen won’t agree maybe.” He sits near Wendy and hugs around her neck. Wendy gets him away, “Hey, your sister’s watching.”
“He has a thick skin, sister. He doesn’t feel any shy at all! Do you know, he used to like Cyan, but she liked brother Cain.” Zoe keeps teasing Sung and tells Wendy about Sung’s old love story. Sung hits her little head, “Hey, why you mentioned those old things? How about them now? I didn’t see them for a while. Hope they are fine…”
“Who is Cyan?” Wendy asks with curious. “She is another student of my father, a sister of mine, she’s very kind and pretty. My brother used to love her, so much…” Zoe raises her voice. Wendy peeks at Sung, “Wow, seems like you are very romantic, your majesty.”
“I didn’t, I just feel she’s funny. And I don’t know that called love. I was just too innocent.” Sung explains with his face red. Wendy replies with pouting mouth, “Maybe that’s the purest love.” Sung peeks at her, argues back, “What do you know, you were younger than me…”
“I still know what is love that time!” Wendy says. “Then you must have someone you loved?” Sung asks with jealous. Wendy nods, “Maybe five people I loved that time? It’s normal for us to date!” Wendy is making a joke, she’s used to be a nerd, no one would like to date with her. She always brought them to the library. “What? Five? My god, you are so…” Sung can’t imagine how her dated that time.
On the other side, Zoe bursts to laugh. “Hah. You guys are so funny! Come on, I’m still here, I don’t want to be a third wheel.” Sung rubs her head, “Oh come on, shut up. What do you know about “third wheel”, when my Zoe gets married, I will find all handsome men in the town for you to choose!” Wendy pouts her mouth, “Then I will choose too.” Sung shakes his hand, “No need! The best one is already in front of you!”
Zoe and Wendy all hit him at the same time, “Oh, don’t be patronizing!” Three of them all laugh together. Sung moves closer to Zoe, “Seriously, you need to find someone to marry, my pretty sister.” Zoe shakes her head like a kid, “No, I won’t marry anyone, I told you already.” Her words piss Sung, “How? I must follow our master’s will, to find you someone good. I promise you I will find you one!”
Zoe begins to weep, “Why you want to push me out that fast?! You don’t want to take care of me anymore, right?! I knew it!!” Sung frowns, “No, I just for your own good, for your happiness.” Zoe argues back, “Then if I find you anyone outside to marry, would you like?!” Sung freezes by her words. “Wow, you are grown up! Now you can against your big brother now!”
Watching their childish talk, Wendy talks, “Marriage is an important thing for women. We must find the best one for life! So you let Zoe choose one herself, that’s good for her! When her fate has come, she will find it!” Zoe nods, leaning to Wendy, “Yes, sister understands me more than you!” Sung seems gloomy, “You guys are fighting with me together, ahem! I always think the best for you Zoe, I’m helping you!” Wendy argues, “Every woman is smart for their marriage, Zoe is super smart. She knows what she wants Sung.” Sung feels he has lost this battle with two women.
“Fine, fine, I will go take some rest, you don’t understand me, brother!” Zoe goes back to her bed, being angry. Sung walks to her and tucks her in.
Sung leaves with Wendy, they walk out together by holding their hands. From today, Wendy has a little sister, and she loves this little sister, she also dreams to have one to play with when she’s young. Now her dream comes true. “Wendy, I do worry about Zoe.” Sung says.
“She’s fine, she knows what man she wants, just let her choose, don’t worry.” Wendy comforts. Sung sighs, “You don’t know how much pressure I have, for her stuff. My master, Zoe’s father, asked me to look after her when he passed away. She’s 22 this year, 22, quite old! If she waits longer, no one would want her. That’s very scary!”
“Old? You think 22 is old?” Wendy laughs, “That’s our precious time in my world!”
“Say something about your world, Wendy!” Sung asks all of a sudden. Wendy gets homesickness, “About what? It’s an old story…” Sung continues, “I can’t believe you are from the future, that’s insane for me!” Wendy laughs, “Why you don’t believe? It’s normal for a soul to move to different times. You just think this like a, a fairytale!” She jokes.
“Then have you seen someone came with their real body here?” Sung asks. Cooper comes to her mind, while she doesn’t want to mention him yet. “I know, there’s someone…”
Sung sighs again, “I wish to see your world, what is it like? Tell me!”
Wendy considers for a few seconds, “The democracy, open-minded and high technology… too many stuff.”
“Wait, what? What are you saying?” Sung behaves like a kid, who tries to discover the universe. Wendy clears her throat, explains, “The democracy is quite complicated for you, so you don’t need to know that; open-minded is like we can have many male friends after we marry; then the high technology… it’s like you see the moon every night, but have you seen what’s on the moon?”
Sung laughs, “Do you know then?” Wendy laughs, “Yes, we have people to travel on the moon.”
Sung laughs harder, he doesn’t believe her at all. It’s out of his mind already, “Then you must can take the moon off, I could say!” Wendy looks up, remains silent for a long time.
