People have many choices of the way of death in the old time, such as drinking poison, hanging yourself on the roof, scissors and knives, to keep their entire corpses. But Shawn’s situation is different, his head must chop down! Cause he made a big mistake this time to put Charlie into suffering. This happens a lot, many people used to die from innocent in the old time. Too many people to die from innocent, it’s not fair. That’s why Wendy must save him today! Also, he reminds of Wendy herself, she is a doctor too. And she died with innocent!
As a doctor, you can’t control the life and death. You have no choice but save people. If you make it good, people say you are good; if you can’t save them, then people hate you or revenge you. Being a doctor, can be a tragedy sometimes. First of all, Wendy goes to find the judge, and checks about the medicine Shawn gave to Charlie, which was normal dosimetry, which proved Shawn is innocent with it! Second, when the judge hears Wendy want to persuade the King and saves Shawn, he is very impressive and grateful. He gives her the petition and she may hand to the King, then save Doctor Shawn’s life.
After thirty minutes, doctor Shawn will be executed. Wendy asks Daisy and Chen to help her checking where is the King now? Time is precious, Wendy is trying her best to catch the King! “Let’s wait around the Meridian Gate!” She says to Daisy and Chen. Normally all people go there to do the morning routine! Wendy runs to there as fast as she could. Besides, although she has wounds on her body, she can’t feel anything.
There are two gates around the Meridian, and Doctor Shawn will pass here also, so she decides to wait here. After a while, a middle-aged man has brought out, he looks very sloppy with blood everywhere. He is chained with big shackles on his feet and hands. The guards are pulling him, towards Wendy.
“Doctor Shawn?!” Wendy stops them and asks. Shawn looks up and gets surprised, “Royal Princess?!” He doesn’t expect he would see her before he dies. “Your Royal Princess, please don’t stop us on the way.” Wendy replies, “Wait, I need to say something! He is innocent, you can’t take him away!” The guards look at each other, frown, “Please, your Royal Princess, we need to take him to the Cai Street to execute. It’s the King’s order. Please leave now.”
Wendy gets surprised, “Cai Street?? But someone told me he would execute it here!”
The guards laugh, “Well, my Royal Princess, here is a sacrifice place. We never execute people here. Now please leave!” While Wendy refuses to leave, she moves to the front,” I can’t let you go. He is innocent!” The guards get pissed, “It is not our responsibility, my Royal Princess! You may go find the King, not us!”
“Please give me some time, I will go to meet the King right now!” Wendy begs them.
The guards shake their heads, insist to take him, “We are sorry, Royal Princess, we can’t do this.” Wendy keeps arguing, “But it is a life! How can you be so cruel?” The guards sigh, “Well, if we don’t follow the King’s order, then we will be the next! Please understand us!”
Shawn speaks, with grateful, “My Royal Princess, please don’t make trouble for them! If I must die, then it’s my fate. Thank you so much for caring about me, I feel very happy. If you could help my families to get away of this, then I will bless you forever and ever.” His words make Wendy to confirm her mind. She must save this innocent man!
Suddenly, she thinks of the scene from the TV! The Princess stopped the guards by threatening. She takes her hair clasp off fast, then points it to her neck! “If you take him away right now, I will die in front of you! Then you guys will have bigger trouble! What do you say?” This way looks really stupid, but it works! The guards freeze there, they are lost. Soon, other guards come to take the criminal, they see what happened. One of the guards turns to report the King.
Wendy keeps staying there, holding the hair clasp for a while, no one dares to move! Soon, the guard comes back, with Prince Zack, “Hey, Yasmin, put it down!” Wendy sighs, explains, “Thanks God, you came, Prince Zack! Please help me here, I checked the medicine was not overwhelmed. So doctor Shawn is innocent. They can’t kill him!” Zack takes a glance at Shawn, replies, “No, Yasmin, Charlie got worse it’s Shawn’s fault. He is the only one who treated him there.”
Wendy continues explaining, “The disease from Prince Charlie, came with him when he’s born! He would get worse even he didn’t drink the medicine! So doctor Shawn is innocent! It’s not about his prescription!” Zack seems doubts now, “But the father said so, we couldn’t do anything about it…” Wendy sees Zack is in havoc, she may get her chance to persuade him. “Your majesty! It’s a life! Besides, he is an innocent man. He has a big family to feed. If I know he is innocent, then I can’t stay and do nothing. Saving one person, is saving yourself. Please help me!” Wendy’s words touched him inside. He knew the feeling of death, from his wife’s case. Wendy continues, “And our Prince Charlie is not recovered yet. We still need his help!”
Considering about his son, Zack nods, “Ok, I will go with you to meet my father now!” Wendy sits to the ground, she feels better now. At least, she may have a chance to save Shawn. Zack asks the guards to execute Doctor Shawn later. Then he and Wendy go to meet the King…
Before they step in, Zack turns to her, explains his plan, “Listen, I help you all because of Charlie and Zena. Also, I do believe you, I know you are a good person. These days, my father gets pissed with the drought and plague, so when I ask you to talk, you talk. If not, don’t say more. Do you understand?” Wendy nods with grateful, “Thank you your majesty! I will!” Zack sighs, feeling guilty, “I used to think you are… But I was wrong!” Prince Zack used to think Wendy is a bitch. But his mind has changed after what she has done.
“I am Prince Zack, I need to see my father for something.” He says to the main servant of his father, Chong. After a while, Chong runs out and replies carefully, “My majesty, the King is mad now, due to the drought and doctor Shawn… Please be careful. If, if you feel the King won’t change his mind, you better give up for your own good.”
“I understand, thank you, Chong!” Zack replies then goes inside with Wendy.
