“How did you get there?” He looked at her and thought for a moment and said, “Didn’t I say that? I had a dream that I saw a fairy and was told to wait there for my future wife. I was just going to try my luck, but I didn’t expect to wait.”
Abigail was completely defeated by his playful appearance, and she knew that even if she asked him further, he would not tell the truth.
Abigail was no longer insisting, she reluctantly stood up and took a few steps inside the house.
“I’m much better, take me home.” Abigail didn’t want to stay here, she was afraid to face his affectionate eyes and worried about the old lady’s condition, she wanted to get back to Caunter’s villa quickly.
“Stay.” Winston embraced Abigail from behind, his nose spraying on her neck. “Stay with me, okay?”
Abigail’s body stiffened, she twisted her body reflexively and slapped at Winston.
Winston’s face was slight to the side, and Abigail’s fingertips slid across his face and didn’t slap him.
Being able to easily escape from the gunfire, of course, he wouldn’t care about this slap.
“You… can’t… hug me.” Abigail panted, still not waking up from the shock. She patted her body haphazardly, trying to get rid of his breath.
There was no denying that his embrace was warm, bringing her a temperature different from Joshua, but she couldn’t stop being afraid and even angrier.
In her opinion, it was an insult.
“I like you.” Winston could see what she was thinking and caressed her face. He became serious and decent, even the usual narrowed peach eyes were widened.
His words couldn’t even be believed by Abigail, they’d only met three times, though he’d helped her twice, for a total of less than an hour, where did this feeling come from.
“I’m not lying.” Winston was getting closer again, cradling her in his arms, this time not letting her escape and said. “Don’t move if you don’t want me to do anything more out of the ordinary, okay?”
Abigail stopped moving, she was afraid that he would do what he said.
Winston was sniffing her scented hair. He picked up a bunch of hair and slowly straightened it.
“Do you like this outfit?” He murmured, like a whisper to a lover, “I don’t like it, change it.”
After lunch, the bell at Winston’s house rang, and a line of staff stood respectfully outside the door. “Mr. Clinton, we have come to change Miss Hanson’s clothes.”
“There’s no need to be so overstated, I… can get it myself.” Abigail was trying to refuse; her small hand was already held in Winston’s palm.
Winston caressed away a strand of fallen hair for her, and kissing her forehead, in the eyes of outsiders, they were like a pair of the couple in love.
“I’m going to dress you up beautifully, beautiful than the angels.”
Under the help of the few staffs, her long, curly hair, which had been electrified, became straight again and her princess dress was replaced with a sexy and not at all revealing gown.
In the mirror, a brand new and different from Michelle, and even the staff couldn’t help but praise her, “Miss Hanson is really beautiful, a light makeup can produce an amazing effect, no wonder Mr. Clinton is so fond of you.”
“No…” The small face of Abigail blushed, and stunning beauty with a red face and pink lips immediately appeared in the mirror.
“So beautiful.” The staff’s praise covered her explanation that wasn’t loud. She had been mistaken for Winston’s girlfriend, and Abigail felt not comfortable.
Winston walked in, the fitted white suit showing his body perfectly, at this time he was comparable to the perfect beauty in the fairy tale, like an elegant Greek prince.
He was looking up and down at Abigail’s new suit, the astonishment in his eyes became more obvious.
“Okay. Perfect!”
He flicked his fingers in satisfaction and took the initiative to take Abigail’s hand.
“You guys are so perfect to each other.” The staff couldn’t help but clap their hands in praise.
“Are we going somewhere since we dressed like this?” Abigail tilted her head towards Winston and asked in a low voice.
“You’ll know in a moment,” Winston responded with the same low voice.
He was so handsome even the female staff beside him looked dumbfounded.
“Alright, no need to drool, you guys can go back.” Winston’s directness caused several female staff members to blush, and one staff member did not forget to suggest. “Miss Hanson is so beautiful, she must be Mr. Clinton’s lover, why don’t we take advantage of today and go take wedding photos.”
“Not a bad idea.” Another plucky snap, he thought and nodded. “Just what I was thinking.”
“You…”Abigail watched all the staff leave before she spoke, “You can’t be serious.”
“What?” His eyes gleamed with slyness and asked.
“No… what!” His forgetfulness relieved her, and he was smart enough not to mention it again.
“Let’s go.”
Winston was reaching out and taking Abigail’s hand in his palm. He was enjoying the fine smooth touch of the small hand, Winston had to admit that she was truly enchanting.
“Go… where?” Abigail worried that Winston was taking her to a wedding photoshoot, she couldn’t help but ask.
“A fun place.”
When Abigail reacted, she was already sitting in his extended Rolls Royce.
The expensive black colour and extended body of the car gave a feeling of luxury. Without saying much, Winston had started the car and headed forward.
Turning a few corners, he pulled out the phone in his arms and pressed a number. “Did you get the mail I sent? Okay, see you later.”
It seemed that he was taking her to meet a friend. Abigail thought uneasily, guessing what kind of person this friend of his was.
The splendid golden hall shone with the light from tens of millions of one crystal chandeliers. The golden décor revealed dignity and luxury, and the floor that was so bright that it could illuminate a person’s shadow. It was paved with the most expensive material. A leaping golden lion stands in the most prominent position in the hall, adding majesty to the opulence of the place.
People here wore with dresses, and the staff leading the way with bent their bodies at ninety degrees.
The private room was also luxuriously decorated, with beautiful women from all over the world standing outside, all kneeling and calling out the most prestigious title when they saw someone coming.
What kind of place is this?
Abigail’s body moved inside under Winston’s impulse. The staff at the door easily called out his name.
“Mr. Clinton, long time no see, your room has just been cleaned and replaced with your favourite golden orchid, I’m sure you will like it.”
“Well.” Winston responded indifferently and he said “Is my guest here? Don’t slacken him.”
“Already here, you may rest assured, he is quite satisfied.” The attendant’s head was so low that it almost touched the stairs, and the amorous beauties standing on either side of him called out in soft unison, “Welcome.”
“Where is this?” Abigail pulled Winston’s clothing and asked softly.
“Here is the casino,” Winston answered her question with a smile.
A casino? Abigail got shocked. So, this luxurious place is a casino! What’s he doing here, gambling or something?
“It’s over… it’s over… I’m finished.” There was a man stumbled down the stairs, muttering to himself and the desperation on his face.
“What’s wrong with him?” Abigail leaned towards Winston in fear, the man looked so scared.
“He lost his bet, lost out his fortune, and he will be sleeping on the street tomorrow,” Winston said calmly. “You can be a billionaire or a beggar in a minute when you come here to have a bet.”
Winston’s words had made Abigail was frightened.
There was the sound from behind, she turned her head and saw a body lying in the hall, exactly the man who had just been there, he probably couldn’t think at the moment and jumped down from the stairs. His head plunging precisely into the sharp metal object in the hall, the blood was staining the golden ground.
The people entering and exiting as usual, not even looked at that body, all of them accustomed to it, except for the newcomer Abigail.
Abigail was biting her lip, she watched as the staff pulled the body away like a dead dog. The cleaning crew arrived quickly to clean the blood, and within a minute, all traces of the body were gone, as if nothing had happened.
“Don’t be afraid.” Winston put his arm around her, giving her reassurance. “This couldn’t be more normal; it happens two or three times a day.”
“So… you… still coming?” Abigail’s voice trembled with nervousness, but she still couldn’t help but ask.
“There are casinos everywhere in life, can we stop living just because we’re afraid? Sweetie, don’t be afraid, let’s go.” Winston’s answer had stunned Abigail, she was unable to wake up from such a situation, and she was embraced by Winston and headed to the private room.
When the golden door of the private room was opened, Abigail saw the guest that Winston had invited.
On the valuable black swivel leather chair, a man was sitting on it.
He seemed to be bowing his head in contemplation, and when he looked up, a wickedly stunningly handsome face was presented. Black hair, an angular face, thick black eyebrows, large and soulful eyes that were as mysteriously blue as the deep sea, like a practiced ‘goblin’ that had been around for a thousand years.
Joshua!
Abigail’s body trembled, if Winston hadn’t held her waist, she would have fallen.
Even just facing him, she would be scared to the point of trembling!
Joshua’s hawk eyes were similarly appalled, and when he saw the hand that landed on Abigail’s thin waist, he sneered.
“So, my escaped servant has found you, it seems that you both are already unclean.”
