Chapter 37 Pregnant

Book:t9 Published:2024-5-1

“I don’t think you came here just to take a few pictures in my backyard.” Joshua stared at the enemy in front of him and he felt unprecedented pressure.
Winston dangled his camera around his neck and shook his head. He placed his hands in the pocket of his close-fitting jeans and smiled, “It’s just that one of my purposes, and on the other hand, I wanted to come and visit grandma, and of course this lady.”
He pointed at Abigail, his appreciation overflowing. Abigail received a stern glare from Joshua and she lowered her head in aggravation. He must have thought that she had some sort of agreement with Winston, but after that rescue, she didn’t have time to say anything to Winston at all before he arrived.
“I heard that she is your maid?” Winston did not restrain himself, instead of casting a glance at Abigail. Joshua had clenched his fists and almost pulled the trigger.
“It’s none of your business!” He responded coldly.
“I mean, since she’s your maid, why don’t you give her to me, and I’ll make sure she will be Mrs. Clinton, and of course, I will send you a lot of beautiful women.” Winston made such a request, and Abigail was so embarrassed when heard Winston’s words.
“Never!” The moment the icy tone was spat out; Joshua was shooting Winston.
The gunshot was terrified Abigail and the old lady. Abigail used herself to cover the old lady without any hesitation.
More gunshots rang out, and the only thing that Abigail could do was to hold the old lady tight and not let her get hurt.
After some time, the sound of gunfire disappeared, and a choking smell reminded her of the horror she had just experienced. A scene that could only be seen on TV was playing out in the backyard of Caunter’s villa, and she almost fainted from fear at that time.
Abigail was pulled up, and Joshua’s cold face appeared in front of her. The surroundings calmed down, and Winston was disappeared. He had run away! This man was truly amazing, dodging the gunfire and managing to escape from such a short distance.
Abigail’s memories returned to that shooting again…
“How can you shoot; don’t you know you’ll hurt granny? Don’t you know how scared she is?” She was pounding at Joshua madly, and it was the first time she had done something so out of the ordinary.
Her fist was held by Joshua, and he said, “I see that the person you care wasn’t grandma, it’s Winston, right? He’s one of your men too?”
This intentional vilification made Abigail sad. She was such a woman in his heart, wasn’t she?
“Joshua, you’re too bad, how can you drive away Winston? He’s your good friend!” The old lady had awakened from the shock of the accident just now. She beat Joshua and her tears scrolling down from her face.
Joshua did not avoid and said calmly, “Grandma, he is no longer my friend, he is my enemy.”
“He just didn’t like Michelle and teased her, so what’s wrong with that? I don’t like her either, that woman…”
“Grandma! Don’t contradict my Michelle, she is the purest and most beautiful woman in the world, and in my heart too! My wife will always be her!” Joshua interrupted the old lady’s words, while also expressing his love for Michelle.
“Take grandmother back, it’s not safe here, from now on, grandmother will live in the front yard. Also, remove all the security guards on duty today and go find the new group of security guards.” After the orders, Lambert nodded and left.
“You!” He held Abigail’s hand and his eyes were showing contempt. “If I find there was something between you and Winston, I will let you die!”
Abigail’s hand was free, and deep pain was felt at her wrist, but her heart was even more painful now.
Abigail was so envied by the woman named Michelle, who was still loved by someone after her death. Unlike her, who lived in such a mess and had to suffer as a substitute.
She didn’t want to!
That night, Abigail once again felt the pain of tearing. Joshua was drunk and sex with her…
She knew that he wasn’t drunk, he was just using the alcohol to inflict punishment on her. He called out Michelle’s name repeatedly, not forgetting to tangle her long hair, forcing her to admit that she was Michelle.
“I’m not!” Her heart is gradually dying; she was unwilling to be a substitute. She became a rebel, even in front of Joshua, she is still unwilling to surrender!
If he wants her dead, she will be! Her sister had been free, and she had done what her parents wanted. Joshua didn’t let her die, just when she thought she was going to be torn apart by him, he gets off her body and tossed her a box of medicine.
“Take it, no one is worthy to be my wife except Michelle, and no one is worthy to bear my child! So, don’t play tricks, otherwise, you’ll be miserable!”
Abigail smile weakly, she would not be Michelle, nor did she want to be his wife. All she wanted to be freedom, three years… Three years would soon be over!
The door closed ruthlessly, and Abigail was holding back the tears that were about to roll down her face. She closed her eyes and swallowed the pills!
A wave of nausea made her vomit out everything in her stomach before she even rushed to the bathroom including the red pill. She vomited one after another and felt better until she had vomited out her stomach juices. She looked through the mirror and saw she looked like a mess.
Menstruation hadn’t come in a long time; it was almost a month late. Could it be? Abigail was stroking her stomach, a bad feeling spread through her, she just remembered that the last two times she hadn’t taken the pill.
Had she? It can’t be that accurate.
In the living room, Annie cocked her head and tossed a strip of something into the trash can.
“Not again, what a bummer!” She leaned back against the couch, gagging and tossing in a plastic bag from the tabletop as well. Tiny fingertips painted with red nail polish rested on her shoulders, pointing upward.
“Don’t worry, Annie. You and my brother are so in love; it will have good news soon.” Under Annie’s guidance, Stacy had her ears pierced and wore a mini skirt with the most fashionable jewelry on her body.
Stacy didn’t forget to comfort Annie when she was unhappy.
“Of course.” Annie’s was stunned but returned calmly soon.
Pregnant, where was the possibility of that. Stacy, who was childish had listened to her one-sided words, thinking that she and her brother were that hard to part with. Where did she know that after being here for so long, except for that first night when they had sex, Joshua had never been to her room again. Not to mention doing those things.
Even that night, Joshua hadn’t released his things inside her body. Her high-profile pregnancy tests from time to time were merely an attempt to create the illusion for Stacy and the maids at Caunter’s villa. She wanted to show she and Joshua were exceptionally in love, and the position of Mrs. Caunter was hers!
“Let’s stop talking, I’ll take you out shopping.” Annie smiles and she was unable to think of a way to seduce Joshua, so she could only go to shopping to ease her depression.
Stacy sure agreed and the two of them left together.
Abigail was standing at the top of the stairs; she didn’t want to go down. Stacy and Annie’s attitude towards her was obvious but in order not to get into unnecessary trouble, she waited patiently until they had leave.
The old lady hadn’t woken up yet, and she wanted to come downstairs and sit down.
The stick Annie had used to take the pregnancy test was left in the trash can, it was reminding Abigail of the changes in her body.
She’d been getting more reactive the last few days, especially in the mornings, she always vomiting up most of the day. Also, she was getting lazier, gasping for breath when she did something small, and trying to sleep every moment.
All these symptoms are very similar to what happened when Mrs. Colonie pregnant, who used to sell aquatic products in the market.
In the trash can, Annie tossed a couple of unused pregnancy tests stick in as well, luckily it was separated by a bag, so they weren’t contaminated.
Abigail crept closer and took one and held it in the palm of her hand.
Abigail returned to her room carefully. She was stunned when two lines appeared on both ends of the stick at the same time. She looked at the instructions repeatedly, and yes, it was positive, which meant that she was pregnant!
God!
Abigail was so shocked by the sudden news that she almost fell over, Joshua’s words that night ringing so clearly in her ears.
“Other than Michelle, no one is worthy of being my wife, and also no one is qualified to bear my child!”
What was she going to do about this baby, which he would never want? Abigail ran out of ideas and she was caressing her flat belly,
She could have aborted it, but her natural maternal feelings made her unable to bear the thought of strangling her child with her own hands. The child was innocent, wasn’t it?
The snap of the door sounded, and Abigail, who was deep in meditation, was physically shaken by the sudden sound.
“Who…?” She asked cautiously and folded the pregnancy test into several pieces and tossing it into the trash can.
“It’s me, Miss Michelle.” The voice outside was Rowena’s. Abigail moved her body and opened the door, and Rowena’s usual cold face appeared in front of her.
“Rowena, my surname is Hanson.” She was quite disgusted with the named “Miss Michelle”. Abigail no longer had any worries because her sister was out of the country. So why would she have to be called Michelle?
Rowena’s gloomy eyes stared at her for a full half-minute this long and finally saying coldly, “Mr. Caunter had ordered, you’ll be called Michelle, of course, I need to address you as Miss Michelle.”
“You… don’t…”
“Mr. Caunter asked you to wear your original clothes, and your hairstyle becomes original as well.” Rowena was handing over a set of clothes and leave.
Abigail wanted to resist with Rowena, her body was given by her parents, and her name moreover contained her parents’ expectation and love. She couldn’t be changed easily. However, Rowena didn’t seem to be in the mood for such a confession and left quickly as soon as her clothes were given.
Michelle!
“Other than Michelle, no one is worthy of being my wife, and also no one is qualified to bear my child!”
Joshua’s words rang in her ears again, and Abigail caressed her stomach. “Baby, if I am willing to be Michelle, does that mean I can give birth to you?”
