Techna
It’s been awhile since I had given birth and gotten out of the hospital. My family had come to visit, after the day I was discharged they had waited a week, but my mom and dad were still around and they were staying in one of the guest rooms with Mr and Mrs Moner.
Tyler had been a good father to our babies, I didn’t even know he would be so good with babies but he proved me wrong. He always woke up earlier than me when the babies woke up in the morning, he bathes them too and that’s when he begs and I allow him but it’s occasionally.
We had gone out walking around the park as a family that I hope we would we actually be both normally and in name. I removed the thought because I know that Tyler doesn’t love me and he would never propose to me. I had shed a tear or more. It didn’t matter since he was still by my side even if it was because of the twins.
The twins were already two months and almost three now and I had resumed work back at Moner’s Enterprises, still as Tyler’s personal assistant though, at least I would see him more because recently he had been busy at work. My mom used to babysit the twins from Monday to Wednesday then Mrs Moner would babysit them after. Sometimes Mac and the other Moner brothers would babysit them interchangeably and the twins really loved them.
“Hey Techna… Techna… ” I snapped out of my thoughts when I felt fingers taping me. I looked up and saw Jake… Theo… looking down at me with concern. “Techna, are you okay? ”
“Huh, yeah. What’s up? ”
“I have been calling you for the past minute but you didn’t answer, are you okay? ”
“Yeah I am fine, I was just thinking about stuffs that has happened in few months.” I smiled.
“Well it has been eventful with the twins. ” Jake grinned. “I remember that day when Tyrrell poo on Troy and he went nuts.” Jake and I laughed at the memory, Troy had said he would never carry Tyrrell again, that he was a nasty baby boy with chubby cheeks. But after that day, he still carried him.
“You guys make a very cute family. ” Jake tapped my nose and smiled at me, I smiled back and then frowned.
“Hey Tech, what’s wrong? ” He looked at me and I shook my head. “You love Tyler don’t you? ”
I could only nod my head before looking away feeling pathetic. ” Hey, it’s not a bad thing.” Jake said and moved closer to me and gave me a comforting hug.
“He wouldn’t love me, Jake. I don’t even fit the woman to be with him. I am not even good enough, I have done things I shouldn’t have done in the past between both of you, and you know what I mean. I am a stupid horny bitch and I regret all this.”
“You are not a horny bitch Techna, you were pregnant and it was your hormones.”
“It doesn’t matter, I am glad he cares for me though.” I smiled a little.
I remembered a month ago when Tyler had come home drunk, he had said something to me that lifted my hope a little, but he was still drunk no shit.
*Flashback*
I was feeding Tamsen because she had just woken up crying. Tyrrell was in his crib sleeping peacefully after he had played enough with Jake and his girlfriend, Leah before they left.
I heard the door open and close and I went to drop Tamsen in her crib who was already sleeping. I already knew it was Tyler that came in because he usually close the door in a certain way.
I walked out of the babies room and back to the sitting room and I saw Tyler sitting on the sofa looking unusual.
“Tyler.” I whispered yelled and his head quickly jerked up and I was surprised his neck didn’t snap, he looked at me and smiled before standing up and moving closer to me. He looked really drunk and the atmosphere was filled with vodka.
“Techna baby.” He said and moved closer and I kept moving back, I didn’t want to do any dirty thing that was going on in his head.
“You can’t touch me” I hit the wall and took a deep breath avoiding Tyler’s gaze.
“I am not gonna touch you. ” He moved closer leaving a little space between us and the smell of vodka hit my nose. Tyler looked down at me and I gasped meeting his sparkling blue eyes. Those eyes were damn beautiful.
He moved closer putting his lips near my ear, making my body tense, butterflies dancing in my stomach. He nibbled my ear and spoke. “Techna, I am falling for you again. ”
“Again? ” I asked confused.
And with that he threw up on me and passed out.
*End of flashback*
Till now I don’t know if he meant it because the next day he woke up, he didn’t say anything about it and he said he didn’t know what he did the previous night and anything he said or did was a mistake.
But still, people say a drunk word is a sober mind… or so that’s why I still have small hope.
“Theo, Tyler.” I heard a very familiar voice say. Jake and I both looked at Tyler that looked as if he wanted to kill someone and at the same time was looking hurt.
Jake and I pulled away from each other as Tyler moved towards us and gave Jake a brotherly man hug. They still looked really alike when together and I couldn’t help but smile.
Tyler gave me a kiss on the cheeks and moved aside to talk to Jake. I still blushed however, it was still a sweet gesture that sent shivers down my spine.
After a few minutes, Jake left after saying goodbye and now it was only Tyler and I. “You know that Theo has a girlfriend, right? ”
” Yes, what does that have to do with me? ” I raised a brow at him.
“Well, the fact that you both were getting cozy few minutes ago, and you loved like a lovesick puppy. ” He said in a cold tone.
Wait, what was his problem? I couldn’t hug a friend again? And how were we cozy?
I stood up and faced him with a glare. ” If you think I have feelings for Jake then you must be stupid. My heart belongs to someone else! “I was so angry that I didn’t know when I spilled out what could make me or break me.
“And the person is you, you stupid asshole… I love you, Tyler Moner.”
I put my hand on my mouth when I realized what I said, I slowly looked up at Tyler to see his emotion but they were so much and I couldn’t even pick out one.
I wasn’t prepared for the words that will shatter my heart into billion pieces.
With a frown he said. “I don’t love you Techna.”
