The ambulance with the paramedics had taken Techna to the hospital, me following behind in my silver Bentley. They hadn’t allowed me to enter the ambulance with them as much as I begged and complained.
Now I was rushing inside with the nurses and doctors as they took Techna into a room. “Please what’s happening? ” I had to ask, I was panicking. I asked a doctor that just came out.
“Who are you to Techna?” he asked giving no emotion away.
“Her husband.” I didn’t realize what I replied with until the doctor talked.
“Well, your wife is in a critical condition. One, she is unconscious and the babies wanna come out now. Then the umbilical cord is wrapped around one your daughter’s neck and she is losing oxygen so we have to do a Cesarean Section immediately. And sir, it’s a risky section for her due to some circumstances.”
“What circumstance?!” I couldn’t help but yell. Nothing must happen to my girls and boy!
“It’s a fifty fifty chance. Either your wife with one of the babies dies or the babies alone survives. And vice versa.” The blonde doctor spoke with ease. Who did he think he was?
I grabbed him by the collar and him on the nearest wall. “Do you know who the fuck I am!! I am Tyler Moner. And you sure know I can take your career away from you if you don’t make three of them survive!” I spoke anger boiling inside me.
“I… I am sorry Mr Moner… We would do our best to make t.. them all survive… e… ” The blonde idiot shuttered and I released his collar and let him go. “I have to go start the surgery now sir. ” He hurried into the theater.
I sat on the floor broken, tears threatening to pour out. I was I meant to live without her and my kids!!!
I had called her parents while I was on my way coming. Trevor, Troy, Jake and Meg were answering police questions and giving statements outside the hospital.
“Excuse me sir, we need your statement about… ”
“Get away from me!!” I said without looking at the male officer.
“But sir we need…”
“Did I shutter when I told you to get away from me? ” I glanced up and glared at him.
“We need statement about Dylan Morgan’s…”
“You know I can ruin you and your job right now! Leave me alone, I will give you your statement tomorrow! ”
“Mr Moner… ”
Before I could yell at the man, Jake cut in out of no where. “Officer Smith! Are you deaf or something! My brother’s wife and babies are in danger right now, so do you expect him to be in the right mind of giving statements?! Get away from here before I ruin you!”Jake glared at the man.
“Sor.. r.. ry sir. ” The officer quickly took off.
Jake sighed in relief and sat on the floor beside me. “Thanks bro.”
“That was nothing. So how are you coping with this? ”
“I am a mess right now Jake. I don’t know what to do right now. This is all my fault. ” I said as tears still dared to fall.
“No Tyler, it’s not. You didn’t know this will happen. It’s Dylan’s fault. ”
“I don’t even know anymore.” I sighed. “Jake thanks for what you did back there at Dylan’s. If not for you I dont know what would have happened. Techna might have even been in a more critical condition.” I gave Jake a man hug.
“You are welcome, I couldn’t let my family be killed again.”
I can’t still wrap it around my head that he is my triplets, even after all this months. “I can’t still believe your are one of my triplet.” I gave a weak chuckle.
Jake chuckled too and smiled. “Well stuffs happens. ”
“Jake you didn’t tell me you had a daughter. Did you have a wife? ”
Jake sighed and looked away. I saw pain flash in his eyes. I don’t even know what I will do if I loose my babies.
“She wasn’t my wife just a fling. It just a mutual sex relationship… It wasn’t even a relationship, it was just a sexual agreement. Along the way, she got pregnant and dumped the baby on my doorstep when immediately she left the hospital. After that time I didn’t see her again…” That was when tears started pouring out of Jake’s eyes. He really loved his daughter and Dylan took the innocent child’s life. I wished I had killed him by my self and not one of the officer.
“She was barely three months before she got killed. I didn’t even see her body. Her dead picture was only sent, it wasn’t even clear. I couldn’t do a proper burial for her. My investigators told me that Dylan took her from the nanny at that time and killed her. They said he killed her and sent his men to dispose her in the ocean. Who does that to a baby!!” Damn, I have never seen a man break down this much. I didn’t know how to comfort a man in this state, so I only patted his back and told him it was okay.
“But Jake, after you told Dylan that you knew about his lies, he said you didn’t know what really happened with your daughter… He said it more to himself but I was the only one that heard him.” I said as I tried to remember how he actually said it.
Jake’s head shot up. ” Wait, are you saying my daughter might be alive? That my investigators were bribed by Dylan?”
I nodded. “I think your daughter might be alive. ” I gave him a weak smile.
Jake gave a weak smile too. That was when the doors of the operating room opened. I saw a nurse come out and I got up and ran to her. ” Please tell me that they are okay. ” I panicked.
“Mr Moner, the doctor told me not to give any answers but to tell you that the situation is still critical and it will still take a few more hours. ” I hit my fist in the wall.
“Ty, calm down. ” Jake grabbed my arm.
“Tell that doctor of yours that if he comes out without them alive, that he is a dead meat. ” I glared at her and went back to sit down.
“Tyler, everything will be alright. ” I heard a familiar voice say. Troy? I looked up and saw my other brothers, my parents, Mac and Techna’s parents.
I only nodded and stood up. “Tyler where are you going? Don’t do anything stupid. ” I heard my mother say as she hugged me.
“I am going to the nearby church, mom. ” I replied and left the hospital.
I know it had been a long time that I had gone to church but I had to pray for my family, we weren’t even really one yet. Damn, I don’t know what I will do without them.

I had finished praying to God hours later and I had gotten my self a coffee before entering the hospital. That was the exact time the doctor came out.
I was the first one to notice him and I ran to him. “Doctor please tell me they are all okay. ” I panicked fidgeting with my fingers.
This man just gave me an emotionless face. My face fell, I knew the news wasn’t good. God I prayed to you dammit, I asked for fucking forgiveness!!
“Well… your wife and daughter died… “
