As much as he wanted to derive joy from hurting her, Damien hated himself afterwards.
As the cold water from the shower trickled down his body, he kept regretting his actions over and over again. He wasn’t a monster. He wasn’t the kind of man that took a woman by force; But for the first time in his life, he had physically hurt a woman. He should have felt good, considering the fact that the woman in question was a cheat and a gold digger, but he felt terrible. He felt horrible.
He shouldn’t have done it. He should have just ignored her and moved on to his other plans, not touch her, touching her was never a part of his plan. He should have remained on that couch and not run after her in the bedroom when she had managed to enter the house. He shouldn’t have hurt her because somehow, knowing he put her in pain, made his heart hurt.
He had allowed his lust to get fueled by his rage and he forced himself on her. Though, in his defense he had thought Céline had lied about her virginity, just like she had lied about her love for him and everything else.
So when she came out of the bathroom with only her undergarments and a tiny towel around her body, he couldn’t control himself. He couldn’t stop himself.
His jerking cock had taken control of his brain and he couldn’t stop himself.
He couldn’t stop, not when she asked him to be gentle or when he had felt the strong resistance deep between her soft inner walls, he couldn’t stop himself. The woman had been blessed with a body that made it impossible for any real man to stop after they had tasted it.
Damn!
He looked down at the blood on his still erect cock and he hissed. Céline was truly a virgin!
He shouldn’t have been that rough on her. He shouldn’t even have touched her to begin with! Kissing his teeth in frustration, he took his scrub and washed off the blood from his member.
Just as his heart was starting to soften, he remembered the conversation he over heard between Céline and her accomplice and his anger returned in ten folds.
He shouldn’t be feeling like this. She didn’t deserve any his sympathy or pity. She had none of that when she had decided to come into his life and steal his hard earned money away. She didn’t have sympathy when she had decided to seduce him and stampede on his heart like he was a piece of plastic.
Céline had played him and he was only dealing with her. He had to be strong. He must not allow his emotions get in the way. This was just the beginning.
Damien finished cleaning himself up and stepped out of the bathroom to get dressed. Completely ignoring the soft sobs that came from the bed, he picked out one of his pajamas and slipped it on.
Céline was still curled up farther down the stained bed covers. She shivered visibly as sobs escaped her body. As his eyes fell on her, his heart ached. He wanted to run to her. He wanted to embrace her and tell her he was sorry and that he never meant to hurt her. He wanted to clean her up and show her the right way to love a woman -But that was probably what she wanted. She wanted to use emotional blackmail on him. He wouldn’t fall for it.
Damien would have preferred to get everything out of his system tonight. He would have loved to tell her about her stupid game and how he found out. He would have loved to see the look on her face when he told her she had signed off her rights for a divorce and would never be able to get one. He would have loved to see the look on her face when he announced to her that she was literally his slave now.
But he was not a monster, at least he had instilled enough torture in her for one night. He would allow her have some space tonight. After all she was truly a virgin and he did hurt her, he would give her time to recover as his way of vindicating himself.
Unlike her, he had a conscience. He was actually very considerate and besides a part of him still loved her, he just couldn’t let that love get the better of him. He had to be strong.
Fisting his hands, he picked up his phone from the bed side table and left the room. He went down to one of the visitor’s room and laid on the bed. Sleep soon took over him as his body was exhausted with all the event that happened during the day.
*
Damien woke up the next day with the smell of waffles caressing his nostrils, teasing him, pulling him gradually out of the dream land.
His brain was a bit fuggy from the wine and stress of the wedding plus the action that followed over night, but he didn’t remember asking his maids to resume for work this early in the morning -or was he the one that slept in for too long?
He checked the time on his phone and saw that it was indeed too early for any of his maids to have resumed for work. Stretching his hands above his head, he got up from the bed and went out to the kitchen to find out who was meddling with his groceries.
He was shocked to find Céline in the kitchen.
She was scrambling a bowl of egg in one hand and holding a fresh tray of waffles in the other. She walked towards the eating area and placed the tray of waffles on the table, unaware of his presence. As she moved around, Damien noticed she was limping slightly as she walked.
His heart squeezed painfully as he knew what he had done to her last night was the reason for her slight limp. Despite her pain, she had gotten up early and was arranging breakfast for him.
“Stay focused Damien!” He cautioned himself. This was not the time to start pitying Céline.
He pushed the pitiful feeling that was crawling at him deep down his guts. He had to be firm and heartless to deal with people like her. For all he knew, she might have poisoned the food. People like her had no boundaries, they could go to any length to get what they wanted.
“Good morning.” She greeted smiling brightly to him.
Damien recognized the pain hidden in her eyes but of course it was probably a lie too. She was making a fool of him!
Here he was feeling bad for hurting her and everything and she was standing right there devising a plan to kill him!
“There is nothing good about the morning!” He snapped, turning to leave the kitchen. If she planned on killing him with food, then she had made a mistake he wouldn’t be falling for that.
“Damien!” She called after him.
Damien refused to turn back. He didn’t want to look at her. It hurt too much to realize you love someone and all they feel for you is nothing and baseless.
Céline ran and cut up to him. She held his hand and Damien’s rage intensified by the electricity that sizzled through his body.
“Don’t touch me!” He barked.
Céline removed her hands immediately like his hand had burned her. Her eyes were wide as she looked up at him with shock in her eyes. Fake!
“Do not even come close to me, you … cheap cheat!”
Like a well seasoned actress that Céline was, a tear escaped her eyes the moment Damien blurted out the insult.
“What- what are y-you ta-lking about?” She asked sniffing away the fake tears that now flowed out of her eyes freely like a waterfall.
She had audacity to even think of crying in front of him. Did she know how long Damien had to cry when he found out the woman he loved with the whole of his life was only toying with him?
“What- w-what have I done wrong? What’s going on Damien?” She asked her voice shaky.
Damien was furious. His hands shook with building anger. How could Céline continue acting all innocent even at this point?
“Come on Céline have some shame and admit your crimes before I state them for you!” Damien stated clicking his tongue.
Céline froze. She literally stopped moving.
“I-I don’t kno-w wha-t you a-re ta-lking about…” She mouthed with trembling lips.
He took short steps toward her, narrowing his eyes on her. Damien could not believe it. She was actually playing dumb!
“How much do you want? Come on tell me! Let’s end this drama right here and now! How much money do you actually need want?” He continued advancing menancingly towards her.
“I’ll call one of my account managers right now and I’ll ask them to wire the amount into your fucking account!”
“Damien- what-” Céline started saying between sobs.
“I do not want to hear a single word from you! Don’t you even dare say my name!” Damien barked and Céline cowered into the wall in tears.
“Damn you Céline!”
