His home or her home?

Book:Seducing The Billionaire Boss Published:2024-6-2

After Céline and Damien got back from their lunch, she tried to focus on her work and pay less attention to Damien, but each time, she failed.
Her body couldn’t deny it. She felt attracted to him in every possible way a woman could be attracted to a man. Yet she had to stay in control.
He was on her mind every second of the rest of the day. She couldn’t concentrate on the files she was working on anymore. She couldn’t fix her mind on something else other than him.
His sharp brown eyes. The stubble on his jaw seem to call her fingers to touch them. His full eyebrow, his well sculptured nose, his lips… they were all too much for Céline to resist.
It was even worst that the person in question was in the same room with her. To add to the cake, he couldn’t keep his eyes off of her. He practically did nothing for the rest of the day, other than stare at her.
He was relaxed into his chair, his arms folded behind his head, ogling at her. She tried to pretend not to notice his intense eyes, but her body couldn’t do the same. Her mind and her body refused to corporate. It was an internal battle for her.
She was blushing so much, every tomato in the market would be jealous of her bright red color by now.
She tried closing her eyes but that wasn’t helpful either.
The moment she closed it, she had images of him tracing his hands atop her cleavage. She felt her nipples harden underneath her bra and she had to snap her eyes open to prevent a more obvious reaction, like a moan from escaping her lips.
Good lord, what was wrong with her?
She was suppose to seduce this man, yet she found herself being seduced. She was to pretend to be attracted to him, but she seem to be attracted to him truly. This was becoming a different rhythm of lies of the heart. She was getting attached to the job too soon. She had to stay strong and firm, her parents honor depended on it.
Though after marrying Damien and getting the twenty million dollars, she had no clue as to what would happen. Her plans didn’t really go that deep. She wanted to solve the present matter first before having to think of what would happen in the future.
To solve the present, she would need to get Damien to marry her. First step to achieving that was seduction and heaven was being on her side, the guy was already into her, more than she could have imagined. All she needed to do was maintain the charade by being a proper personal assistant. That also involved her working -something she couldn’t do with Damien giving her such electrifying stares.
She had to put her plans in motion. She needed to stop getting distracted.
She packed her files and stood up to leave. She would work better somewhere else.
“Where are you going?” There was alarm in his voice as he also stood from his chair, already walking towards her. “Is there a problem?”
“I- I am just- I need to get some information from Tiana.” Céline stuttered.
“Oh-” The exclamation was more like a whine. Damien’s defenses subsided and he stood watching her.
Her throat tightened and she couldn’t bring herself to say anything. She gave a quick nod and walked out of the office, closing the door behind her. She leaned on the door, hugging the files in her hand to herself. She released a sigh.
Working with Damien was going to be harder than she had initially thought.
She had to stay in control.
She recomposed herself and walked to Tiana’s table at the beginning of the large hallway.
“Hi,” she greeted, placing her files on Tiana’s desk with a gentle thud.
“Hello…” Tiana trailed, moving her eyes from the files to the hands holding them.
“I need to borrow your space for a few minutes. I can’t work in there.” Céline rushed out.
“Did he get cranky? He seemed to be in such a good mood today. I didn’t think he would-” Tiana began to explain but Céline cut her off.
“No no, he is not. He is just- we kind of- he is having a personal call.” Céline struggled with her words, finally settling for a lie. She couldn’t possibly tell Tiana that she couldn’t work because Damien was ogling at her or that she was losing her mind being unable to feel his hands on her body.
Tiana nodded her head knowingly and moved further down her table, creating a space for Céline. “I understand. You can stay here.”
“Thank you.”
Céline walked around the barrier separating visitors from the reception desk and settled herself on a chair Tiana provided for her.
Soon she was engrossed in her work. The file it took her almost two hours to complete summarizing was ready in less than thirty minutes. By the time she was done, it was time to go home and Tiana was no where in sight. She packed up her papers and made to return to the lion’s den.
The closer she got to the door, the more her heart beat increased. By the time she touched the door knob she was breathless.
“You came back in good time. It’s time to head home.”
Damien’s voice welcomed her the moment she pushed the door open. It was like he sensed her presence at the door long before she opened it.
“Sure.” She whispered, unsure of what Damien meant by home. Was it his home or her home?
Céline was not sure she could resist him this time, prank call or not.
